Sylvia is a Godsend, and I mean that literally! While it's too long and too personal a story to share details here, I've spent the last several years in a family caregiving situation in which I was unable to have a social life or enjoy my hobbies due to balancing full-time work and caregiving. Recently, I've been trying to reclaim some time for myself, but now I have two senior dogs with medical conditions to look after, and this alone makes it challenging to go out. Sylvia has made it possible for me to do so, thereby basically saving my mental health, haha. Every pet parent wants someone truly reliable whom they can trust, and Sylvia is absolutely that kind of person. I found Sylvia when I was looking for a more experienced pet sitter to help with my cat with chronic kidney disease and FLUTD. She is a true professional and you can see that in the small details when you return from your trip-- she did an amazing job clearing our litter boxes and vacuumed for us even though we didn't even ask her to. My cat with special health needs has since passed but I still continue to use her since I know my cats are in good hands and they always seem so much happier when we come back now. Sylvia is absolutely incredible. My story with her starts almost a year ago, when Cuppy (my maltipoo puppy) was only 8 weeks old. At the time, my mom and I were looking for a place to have Cuppy stay, because I had JUST adopted him, and we already had booked a family cruise months before. We ultimately had to keep Cuppy with his vet, because of his vaccination schedule, but I never forgot about Sylvia. Fast forward to now, and my brother was getting married. Sylvia is absolutely amazing. My dog Pie is very protective of me and doesn't like anyone right off the bat. It actually takes her multiple times for her to get comfortable. The first time she met Sylvia she was barking like crazy and wouldn't stop. The longer Sylvia was around she calmed down. Pie let her walk her while I was with her. Sylvia stayed with our dog Louie for 6 days while we were on vacation because of his strenuous medication schedule. Louie suffers from several medical conditions (heart and respiratory diseases, and pulmonary hypertension), which require that he takes 3 different types of medications (one every 8 hours and two every 12 hours). As soon as we met Sylvia, we knew she was the right person for the job. Not only did we trust her right off the bat, but she was excellent with Louie who is really weary of strangers. Sylvia immediately put us at ease because she's a licensed vet tech, and understood the issues of Louie's medical conditions. While we were away, Sylvia would give us updates on how Louie was doing and when his medications were given. She would also send pictures and videos of the two of them hanging out. She made every effort to bond and establish trust with him, which we greatly appreciated. We are so lucky to have found Sylvia, and will definitely use her in the future. Boarded my two French Bulldog puppies at Sylvia's place. I don't believe there could have been anyone better to care for them. They received so much care and attention from her and her family which included young children. She has a great sized grassy yard and a huge playpen indoors. We are very grateful to Sylvia for watching our new Golden pup, Moby! Since he's too young to be fully vaccinated we had limited options for while we were at work. Honestly, I'm often stumped as to how new puppy parents are able to work full days with a fur baby at home! Sylvia we very nice right off the bat. We spoke for almost half an hour on the phone.
