My elderly mother is a new patient of Dr. Ishani Dhillon. I let the office know ahead of time that she had fallen and was wearing a neck brace. Dr. Dhillon and her team went out of their way to make my mother comfortable and to accommodate her. Dr. Dhillon personally spent time speaking to a lab technician to find the most inexpensive way to resolve a problem with Mom's current partial (which is about a year old). Although we had to get a new device, I appreciate the time spent trying to take care and fix a problem. I needed a total check up for ages, and I found this business on Yelp. It was also comforting to know that they also accepted my insurance. So, I took the plunge and went to Dr. Shah. What I found was a caring and compassionate and gentle dentist in Dr. Shah! I needed the works, X-ray and deep cleaning. And guess what??? It didn't hurt. It was actually pleasant. ALL the positive Yelp reviews were true. Dr. Shah is one heck of a dentist! And she's also honest, which I appreciated immensely. What a great experience! A friendly and professional environment all in one! The front office staff are welcoming and efficient. Dr Ishani Shah and the clinical team are knowledgeable, light-handed, courteous and caring. I felt comfortable and probably the most relaxed I've ever been in a dentist's chair. Unlike many other dental offices I was not under pressure to commit to procedures. Dr Ishani suggested it was best to monitor a few issues for a few months before starting any major dental work which was much appreciated and earned even more respect. Be extremely careful if you decide to go to this dentist. I went to see Dr. Shah when her business was known as Everyday Dental. I thought this dentist initially came across as friendly, helpful, and genuine. I didn't think I'd be charged or suggested to get things I didn't need done. I trusted this dentist. I had horrible dental insurance at the time, had to pay for all my treatments save for like a routine checkup, and I didn't have any money, as I was a college student trying to survive in one of the highest cost of living areas in the US. Dr. Shah suggested I get my crown replaced with a bridge by sawing down the tooth next to my crown, as in her opinion there wasn't enough bone structure left to support the crown. I recently saw a new dentist after not having insurance for 2 years, and they have no clue why this was recommended to me. They recommended I replace the crown if my insurance would take it, and said nothing about a bridge or ruining my other teeth, regardless of whether my insurance would cover it or not. I'm so glad I decided not to get this done at Everyday Dental!!! Who wants to get their teeth sawed down for no reason? To add insult to injury, I paid $600 for the procedure beforehand but the services were never rendered. I got quite the run-around trying to get a refund from Everyday Dental. The excuses ranged from Dr. Shah's son had broken his leg and she was busy, she'd be in the next day to write the check, I just happened to miss her, etc. I waited almost a month for a refund for services that were never rendered. I was EXTREMELY close to reporting this dentist to the Dental Board of California. I'd be wary of seeing this dentist!!!!! read more

Recently had to look for a new Dentist since my insurance changed with new Medicare coverage. I know my dental condition very well and have had plenty of various experiences with DDS & Periodontists. I live in Laguna Hills and after a little research went to a Practice that was a Corporate entity. After xrays and DDS evaluation the diagnosis was to replace two crowns and do a complete 4 quad deep root cleaning/scaling - all for $6,800 after insurance. Immediately looked for another opinion and found Dr. Shah at EverydayDental. She runs her solo DDS private practice that is modern with office design and top of the line equipment. I ended up paying $120 for a 30 minute procedure consisting of a few trouble areas of deep cleaning along with a full regular cleaning and full mouth xrays. Only regular cleanings recommended going forward. Dr. Shah and staff are all Patient orientated. They were willing to listen and understand my needs and provide only what was actually necessary. Frustrating to have experienced various Dental professionals in my time that diagnose according to what's best for their bottom line - all while compassionately explaining via the xrays why it is imperative to act ASAP to get the work done. Become a regular with Dr. Shah w/o hesitation as she is currently accepting new patients and works with most insurance, even my HMO medicare coverage - which I found is pretty limited. Very fortunate to have found Dr. Shah who I can completely trust and will actually look forward to seeing again! read more
