It is difficult to put into words the level of anxiety I have carried regarding dental work. I had made it a mission to start calling offices to see if they would be willing to work with my chronic pain. I had a lot of questions, and when I brought up my chronic pain, she really understood my fears. By the end of the call, I felt like I was just chatting with a friend. The doctor's assistant, Veronica, was so gentle while she took my X-rays and scans, we had a great time chatting about our pets. She was so patient as I got in and out of my wheelchair, even holding it for me as I sat down. Truly so sweet. Then Dr. Saad walked in (cue the angelic harp music!). She has this radiant, peaceful energy that just settles the room. Not only is she so lovely, but her bedside manner is out of this world. I was given the option to hear the full details of my care or just cut to the chase; I opted for all the details. The part that really did it for me was when I explained how I have endometriosis and live with chronic pain. She made me feel heard and validated my pain. She understood, and even shared how she knew others with endometriosis. In that moment, I knew she was going to be my dentist. As a one income household, the financial aspect is a source of immense stress. But there was no pressure. Dr. Saad and Ivané reminded me that I am in the driver's seat (literally their words). They truly put my well-being ahead of everything else. To accommodate my chronic pain, Dr. Saad even set up my deep cleaning in four parts instead of the regular two, which made me feel at ease. I just completed my first cleaning, and Dr. Saad was so gentle. I was so comfortable that I didn't even finish my episode of Gilmore Girls. Such a great experience at Lalume Dental! The dentist and staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel so comfortable. The studio is sooooo beautiful and calming even has TVs on the ceiling, noise-canceling headphones, and they were very respectful of my need for nitrous! I had 4 crowns and 2 fillings, and when my bite was off on my temporaries, they fit me right in to adjust them, I was so numb when I left I couldn't feel my bite. When I found this place I thought it was too good to be true. But it's not. They take normal insurance which was my main hesitancy. The staff is incredibly friendly and gave me a tour of the beautiful office overlooking the mountains and offered me a sparkling water. Then they went through my history, concerns and past experiences. I love that they asked me questions like "do you like more detail or give me the bottom line". The dentist is so nice and personable and was thorough and transparent with giving me options and information. Then I laid back with headphones and watched Netflix on the ceiling while I got my teeth cleaned. I opted for the "quick whitening" (not covered by insurance) and they made sure I was comfortable and came to check on me every 5-10 minutes to make sure I wasn't feeling too sensitive. I came home and told my husband about my experience and he was jealous and said "can I go there too?!" Highly recommend this place for the dentist, staff, aesthetics, and overall vibes. read more
