I concur with Scott. Don't use this business to sell your rugs!! What he does is tell you your rugs are worth all this money, to justify the cleaning fee he then charges/get you to consign with him. After a full year being on consignment he didn't sell either one of my rugs, and then claimed people just aren't into the traditional rugs anymore; what a load of BS! Rug making has been a skilled craft for centuries, with people traveling just to get handmade rugs originated from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, etc. Since I wasn't able to pay for the cleaning fee, he then traded a crap manufactured rug (compared to my beautiful handmade Turkish rugs), claiming it's the same value. WTF! At best this guy is incompetent (really thought the rugs were worth that much, despite the actual market value) and at worse (what I think is really the case); unscrupulous, telling people their rugs are worth much more to get them to then pay for cleaning and/or repair services. I do not recommend this business as I believe their only intention is to rip off the customers that come in looking for advice, cleaning or resale of genuine turkish rugs. I inherited a rug my parents bought in Turkey themselves while traveling. It was in excellent condition when I brought it in for consignment but I was told I needed it cleaning (by them) and fumigated, even though I told him it was in a smoke-free and pet-free home. I was charged $500 for that service. I later observed a worker for this business as he dragged a rug into the alley and used a high-powered washer on the rug on the ground in the alley. That is this company's method of cleaning rugs and then charging hundreds of dollars. As mentioned by others, I was promised my rug would be advertised and sold for me to the tune of thousands of dollars. They asked me to take my rug home as they had little room for storing it. They never sold it and they brushed me off every time I called. There may be a new owner now, but she has brushed me off every time I've called in the recent past as well. read more

Do not use them to list your rugs on consignment. The owner has a scheme where he says he will take your rugs and says they are worth anywhere from 3K- 25K but you have to have him clean them and pay him several thousand to get them ready to sell. Then he does a light cleaning and sends you pictures of them outside and then he comes back and tells you that they might need repair for another few thousand. And guess what, he never ends up selling them! After calling other rug stores in the area, two reputable businesses said he is a con artist and should be in jail. read more

Huge showroom of beautiful rugs in different styles. We've been searching for coordinating rugs after a remodel with no luck. Most places have the same tired looks (think old stinky restaurant or hotel) or only super modern looks. Found 2 gorgeous rugs that have similar patterns for our living room and dining room. Terrible experience. Saeid said he could dye my jute rug blue. He kept telling me I would love the green tint even though it was supposed to be blue. He kept trying to get the color right and told me I was difficult. He finally got the color right and it was an other ordeal to get it finished. Twice after that he said the rug was finished. The first time I went to pick it up he stood me up and the second time it was not colored even and he didn't do the fringe. I rejected it. I tried again and he stood me up. I'm done and filing for a refund from the credit card company with a loss of the rug! I spent a lot of time in frustration. read more

My husband and I have purchased rugs and also have had rugs cleaned at OC Rug store. The selection is amazing. The prices are very reasonable. Saied the owner is great to work with. The rugs we have purchased there are of great quality and have held up like new over the years. Saied makes it very easy to pick out exactly what you are looking for and will even bring out a selection to your home to choose from. Just recently I gave Saied a tapestry from France I have had on my table for many years. It is a piece that means a lot to me. Parts of the tapestry had lost it's color from oxidation over the years. Saied had the tapestry refurbished with dying techniques. It looks brand new. You would never know anything had been done to it to renew the colors. We love the OC Rug Store. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS. Avoid at all costs. There are honest rug businesses out there, but OC Rug Store is NOT one of them. OC Rug Store (Saeid) will con you and tell you anything to have you think the rugs are worth more than they are worth and that when repaired would be worth much, much more. When I started this process, OC Rug Store did not have any Yelp! reviews... I wish they did. Here is my story. I inherited 3 large (10' x 14') Persian rugs and a small runner and in March of 2022 I called OC Rug Store (Saeid B.) to have them cleaned and he told me to text him some pictures. He texted back and said these were very expensive rugs and were worth about $12K to $18K each. I paid OC Rug Store $2,079.94 on my credit card and he came and picked them up. A couple of weeks later, Saeid called and said these were Heriz, Turkman and Sarouq from the turn-of-the-century and were worth $50K, $45K and $55K respectively, but needed to be repaired (moth damage, border work, fringe replacement and dying) for $8,000. He also said he could sell them on consignment and only takes a 10% commission, so I told him to go ahead and sell them. He said it would take about two months to do the work and required 1/2 payment up front and the other 1/2 payment half way through. Without telling me, I noticed that $4,345 was charged to my credit card for the first payment. Then in April 2022 I saw the second payment of $4,345 on my credit card. In May 2022, I emailed him to find out what the status of the rug repair was. He said they were finished and he would put them up on consignment. After six months on consignment, I asked for them back. OC Rug Store delivered the 3 rugs and the 1 runner, but one of the rugs was not mine. I had them take it back and then they delivered the correct rug. After examining the rugs, all I noticed was that the fringe had been replaced, and the border looked the same, but the dying was not done. I brought the rugs to two different rug stores and was told the rugs were from between WWI (1920's) and WWII (1940's) and were worth about $1,500 to $2,500 each. I called my credit card company to contest the charges and was told there had been too many months since the charges. Do Not Do Business with this company. Run and run fast! read more

Don't even think about doing business with this guy. I literally had the worst experience with the owner, Saeid Boostani. We were in need of some rugs, I stopped by his store. He was extremely aggressive. kept asking to come to our home. I finally allowed that. First clue, he let himself into our house. My instinct told me there was something not quite right with this guy. Told us he did all our neighbors carpets I called him to check references, I asked him for my neighbors references. He told me they moved. He told us multiple times he would come back and give us an, "absolutely no obligation, no fee " showing of rugs in our home" I still didn't feel comfortable about it so I checked internet and yelp. After reading reviews I called his phone to cancel, got voice mail. Since he didn't answer told guards not to let him in He called me and started swearing some of the foulest things possible, then texted me obscenities', then told me I owed him almost 10k, and if I didn't pay it he would put a lien on my house... STAY AWAY - unless you like to be deceived. I saw their sign and called to have them clean my Persian carpet. After they picked it up, the owner (?), Mr. Boostani called me and went on and on and on about the value of my carpet & said it was special edition and worth about &75 - 80,000, and needed some minor repair. I was not interested in repair since the carpet had sentimental value - from my deceased mother - and even if half-a-million dollars, I would not have sold it. But the carpet is not worth that much. However, since it was left to me by my mother, I said to go ahead and repair it at a cost of $1,250. Woe and behold, the carpet came back (I paid him when he said it was ready) and no repair. when I called him disgusted, he said: Just deep-brush it"! And said he could send his delivery guy to do it! They are very unprofessional. They changed the price after they cleaned the rug. They ruined my rug and took my concern as nothing. The owner is not a good man. He talked down to me and just wanted my money. It's not about the money it's the fact that the rug was ruined and he sat in my face and tried to say it came out that way because I haven't cleaned it in 30 years. Which he made up in his own head because the rug was cleaned 2 years ago. He kept trying to convince me that my stained rug was an indication that the rug was deeply cleaned. I believe he used some kind of chemical and it ruined my rug. He is not a honest man. He told me one price and then changed it after he cleaned it so I had no choice to pay. I know people are desperate for money, but this is sad. He is in pretty bad health he can't even walk standing up straight and this is probably his karma for scamming people. Please do not clean your rugs here you are better off hand cleaning yourself or rent a rug cleaning machine for 27 dollars and probably get a better outcome then what I got. read more
