Purchased our flooring in 2020-21. That experience was good. We went through an independent contractor. What is great is the support they've provided to us after install even having not hired them. I would recommend doing any flooring installation through West Coast! It may cost you more if you don't - learn from my error. They do it right the first time without compromise. It seems exaggerated to say this, but truly I regret not hiring West Coast to perform the install. I purchased the carpet for my 2 stairways from West Coast Flooring because they are promoted through Costco. I trust Costco vetting since I bought many big items from Costco partners. However, West Coast Flooring is a disappointment for not honoring their warranty. The carpet was installed on 7/29 and the knots are already pulled out and the carpet looks old only after 2 weeks. I called and sent a video and pictures of the defects. They came to pick up the remnants for analysis. They said the result is that the carpet has no defects. I told them that the defects are shown on my carpet and they must come to look at it. The person came to see it and offered to cut the knots out. I disagreed because it's not a solution of mediocre quality and the knots will come out again. Finally, West Coast Flooring said that the carpet issue resulted from my Dyson (the premium name!) vacuum and my small 18-pound dog's nail! I have been using my Dyson for years for at least 3 carpets and never had any issues. My small dog never caused any damage to my past carpets. They said Shaw agreed to replace the carpet and I have to pay 1,400 for the installation! The contract warranty doesn't apply here? Cherie Murray, West Coast customer care manager, shifted the responsibility to Shaw, the carpet manufacturer, saying that it's Shaw Claim department's decision, not West Coast Flooring. I signed a contract with West Coast F, not Shaw. I reported the issue to Costco and they will contact West Coast Flooring. I chose West Coast F because I trust Costco's partner vetting process. I had a good experience with Costco's partners until this purchase. Be aware and don't do business with West Coast Flooring. They don't honor their warranty and will blame the manufacturer. I used WCF to replace my old hardwood with new laminate flooring. There were complications which is why the rating is not 5 star but the end result was beautiful. Our installer Hass did excellent work. The cost of the job increased by nearly 20% due to cement touch up after demolishing the old hardwood. The contract calls out that added expenses like this may arise but I was not prepared for such a large cost and with my floor tore up was left with little choice but to suck it up. If this was a likely outcome as the sub believed on the day of install I would've preferred it would be more clearly called out when the work was quoted originally. After the demolition work was completed and the new floor started to be laid down our installer discovered that the flooring was a defective batch that did not properly snap together with a small gap between the planks. WCF ordered a new batch and addressed it relatively quickly but this added quite a bit of time to the project. Overall they were a good company to deal with and professionally handled the problems that came up. read more

We used WCF to purchase our laminate wood flooring this past January. We did not use their installer as we already had one, so I cannot give you a review on that aspect of our purchase. Installed carpet with HEAVY DUTY GREASE on carpet backing. love our carpet.....but not the fact that they installed an end of the roll that was covered in heavy duty grease. The carpet was purchased thru Costco carpet program and west coast flooring. $13,000 worth of carpet and they wanted to try and clean it off......I didn't buy used soiled carpet I bought new. So disappointed in Costco as they have been rude and trying to get me to claim it on Insurance. The spot is approximately 24" x 18" grease and a line that runs full length of carpet backing. I saw the end of the soiled roll in the truck, I can't believe that they would stoop so low as to use it. The installers were about 3 hrs late they said because of wheel bearing issues. Hmm! We wouldn't have noticed the grease until it worked its way through the carpet except for a leak at our door....upon pulling the carpet back to dry we discovered the grease. read more
