Not sure the rug was even cleaned. The person I talked to on the phone at SoCal Rug Masters was wonderful, super informative and helpful. I dropped off our 8x10 wool rug at the Laguna Niguel location. I indicated on the take-in form that it needed to be cleaned and that there were pet urine spots. I was told it would be sent out to their other location and take 7-10 days. It was ready when expected and I picked it up at Laguna Niguel. The rug was rolled and tied, so we didn't inspect it upon pick up. Once home, we unrolled and it looked and smelled exactly the same. I wasn't expecting miracles. I figured the pet urine stains couldn't be removed. But I did expect it to smell clean and fresh - at least a little bit. Also, even though my expectations were low about the pet stains coming out, I wish there would have been some communication about the results. read more

If you have rugs that you really like and are worth a little extra care and expense, you should definitely contact SoCal Rug Masters. Our 10 month old rescue kitten went into heat and suddenly started peeing on our 8' off-white octagonal wool rug located under our grand piano. Ugh! We used a large number of cleaning and cat deterrent products to no avail. We then called a few rug cleaning companies who didn't have the capacity to properly clean our rug, even if we paid a piano moving company twice to move our piano off and then back on the rug. But SoCal Rug Masters was able to move the rug out from under the piano, take the rug away, clean it and return it. And they only charged a minimal fee to move the piano. They apparently had to clean the rug 3 times to remove the cat pee smell but didn't charge extra. I didn't want to put the rug immediately under the piano because I wanted to ensure the now-fixed kitty wouldn't pee on it anymore. SoCal Rug Masters agreed to return later to move the rug back under the piano, at no extra cost. When it appeared our kitty was no longer interested in peeing on our rug and I e-mailed SoCal Rug Master's, they contacted me the first business day and arranged to have two of their staff come and put the rug back under our piano that same day! And this was after I had already fully paid for the service. This is amazing customer service. The two staff had to work very hard to get the rug and piano situated perfectly, but they did it very graciously and willingly. I will say that we were warned that the our white rug wouldn't come out absolutely pristine due to our use of the wrong stain removers and years of dirt ground in where our piano foot pedals were, but it looks so much better than it did - the stains are not noticeable at all now - and the cat pee smell is completely gone. Arash helped me when I dropped off the rugs and Kourosh when I picked up and they were kind enough to even bring it to their location close to my home.
