Amazing Experience! Tracy and Thao did an incredible job with me, I can't recommend them enough. This was my second time here and I was fortunate enough to be placed with Thao, she was also so good! I was a little nervous because I got attached to Tracy my first time, but this just further proved everyone here is amazing. I'll definitely be back again for the Pamper and VIP. First, I got a thorough scalp analysis then I walked down the hall and got to the bed and changed into a strapless gown for my massage and facial. Thao was so good! She was super thorough and communicated everything clearly, so I always knew what was happening next. They even offered me a warm heated blanket and a heat pad for my feet, which made me feel so cozy -- I practically went goo-goo ga-ga from comfort. I totally fell asleep half way through the microdermabrasion facial -- that's how relaxed I was! The sounds, lighting, warmth, and comfort were all perfect. It's not a fancy or aesthetic-heavy place, but they're expanding a bit and the service and experience are what really stand out. Everyone was super friendly and attentive -- such a great vibe. Thank you so much OC Scalp Spa If you love massages, facials, head rubs, back rubs, and the BEST hair wash, get over here! Like now. Such a treat for yourself or someone you love.

My friend wanted to treat us to a scalp massage and we enjoyed it! None of us had been before and once you walk in they sit you down in a chair and show you your scalp on this monitor and you can see all the dry skin and oil. Looked pretty greasy. (I wish they showed you what it looked like at the end) Then after wards they take you into a private area curtained off where they have the water machine beds. The water was hot, the scalp massage and mini facial were good. We did 45 mins and there was a 20% off special. Then afterwards they put you back in the chairs and blow out your hair. It was nice , would go back again.!felt fresh all week long!

INCREDIBLE SERVICE! I've been to 3 other head spas and OC Scalp Spa has been THE BEST experience by far! SUSAN, my masseuse, was EXCEPTIONAL -- she spent a ton of attention on my neck and shoulders (spots that I requested) and gave me a deep massage, not one like they're just putting lotion on you lol. It was amazingggg! I felt sooo much better after. And she was so sweet! Loved the service all around, even when I walked in. The spa is super nice and clean too -- from the waiting room, bathroom and private room. I will def be coming back! Thanks again, Susan! I'll see you soon!

Just had the most amazing experience here. I got the pamper package, as soon as you walk in the staff are friendly and the vibe of the treatment room is so relaxing. Will definitely be coming here regularly!

This is my 2nd head spa experience. In between my last was about a month. There was not much build up when they showed it to me. Service was friendly. I got the Royal that was on sale for $148. I forgot I got the hair growth serum so I thought at the end they tried to sneak in an extra $10 but later realized that was not the case. They also charge $2 for using credit card which tripped me up a bit. Good thing I still tipped well! I could hear deep base party maybe Mexican music in the background that they tried to drown out with maybe 1 min piano medley on repeat. But I will say, they did almost give me a full body massage (minus the back). They lay you down on a wet massage bench face up with blankets chest down. She started with my neck and arms massaging in oil and then wiped off with warm towels. Then she did the same with my calves and feet but this time with stones. After that, she gave me a facial with cold stone rollers and steam. A waterfall of water was poured on my face and chest. I compared with Purelux that is probably more clean and professional but did not give a full body hand massage. At Purelux they put you in a high end full body massage chair. They gave me a cute package with warm eye masks, a nail cutter / bottle opener, and a choco pie which Purelux did not do. Overall, very nice and includes more than Purelux for the price.

I didn't realize how much my scalp needed some love until I came here. OC Scalp Spa is such a calming little spot--super clean, cozy, and everything smelled so good. I went with the Pamper package, which was 90 minutes. We started with the standard scalp analysis so that they could determine what type of treatment would be best for my hair and scalp. The steam, massage, and overall care felt great. I really liked the face massage where she used the metal rod/staff. My hair felt so fresh and light afterward, and I left with a glow from the mini facial they included.

Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

I used to frequent this hotel a lot for their amazing restaurant- Watertable (that's a whole other review) Calling to book the appointment was very easy. I had to put a credit card down (like most spas) my treatment was at 1:15 and the woman on the phone told me I could get there as early as 9 AM to use all the amenities (pool, sauna and etc) When I arrived, Vincent, was working valet and helped me out. He showed me exactly how to get to the spa. (You get free valet parking with your spa service) I will say, the spa is pretty far from the main hotel lobby entrance. It does have nice views and the place is spotless. It is easy to find though. They have tons of signs pointing you into the direction of the spa. Once you get to the spa it's tucked away in gorgeous greenery with a little bridge that takes you over a little koi fish pond When I got to the spa, the girl at the desk was amazing (I wish I got the names of everyone) she checked me in, she asked if I had any allergies, asked if I had any health issues they needed to be aware of and etc. She was on point. She then asked if it was my first time there (it was my first time) so then she immediately paged another staff member to show me around. She gave me the whole walk through, showed me how to use the lockers and everything. She was great as well I did use the sauna before and after my 50 minute massage which included hot stones They had a lovely water station with your typical spa water. They also had a big bucket of ice (which I love having ice. The colder my drink, the better) They also had a tea station. They had honey, cinnamon sticks and other things at the tea station available. Yet you have to go to the desk to ask for the tea bags When I got to the waiting room (relaxation room where you wait to be called for your treatment) they had a lovely set up. Really nice comfortable couches, they had chairs right by the fireplace, they had fruit, they had some baked goods and then I saw the menu for food you can order and they had drinks you could order (food and drinks were for a price. But the little baked goods were free) they had a banana bread and these delicious bars with jam. They also had a variety of nuts, trail mix and etc with little cups you could put them in I had the pleasure of getting Brittney. She was absolutely great. She took me to the treatment room and gave me a minute to get undressed and situated on the table. She asked if the table was warm enough for me. She was great at asking if I wanted light or medium. I told her just to wing it. I did have a LOT of knots in my back on the right side. So she went for it lol. The pressure was at times a little too hard for my taste. But if it makes me feel better in the long run, I don't mind. Plus, I could have told her to lighten up at any time. I really did not want this to end. I felt great afterwards. They had very clean showers They had everything from mouth wash, spray deodorant, hair dryers to use and everything else you'd find at your nice spas. They have a cute little shop where you check in / check out. They had a good amount of different beauty products, jewelry, clothing and other things you'd find at a place like this. The girl who checked me out was great (again, I wish I got the names of everyone) I would 100 percent come back. I'd love to have a girls day here with friends or try one of their facials next time I would have loved to take more photos of the spa, but please remember cell phone use is not for spas. Especially since smart phones have cameras on them and guests are walking around in bathing suits / just towels and changing. So be respectful of that

This was our first stay at the Pasea and so much of it was great!…read more PROS We bought our two young dogs and two kids and it was a great experience traveling with them! First of all, the people who work here are so nice! Peter was always smiling and giving the dogs treats (with permission every time). I swear they started looking for him- and they're pretty anxious around people. There are no dogs allowed in the pool area which I get but it makes it a little tough to juggle the kids wanting to swim for hours and not leaving the dogs unattended in the room. The beds were comfy and they have a built in sound machine system and it was the first time I have ever see that! I loved it! I struggle to sleep in hotels but wasn't bothered by any noise. The hotel is right across from the beach and next to an outdoor shopping mall. We walked to and from multiple times on our trip and it was nice to be close by! They also have beach chairs, towels and sand toys to borrow! They have adult bikes but nothing for the kids so we didn't utilize those. The restaurant is good with dog friendly seating and gluten free options. We had dinner there only. CONS the dog park is so cute and convenient but it wasn't sprayed off at all while we were there and since it was plastic grass, there was poo smeared all over the place. It was hard to find a spot to stand and you hope your dog doesn't walk through it. It also smells like warm pee. We were still grateful for it but I think a small patch of real grass would have been less gross! The fee for dogs is $150 a night and that adds up quickly! The bathrooms are not practical for families. They don't lock, the toilet room has fogged clear glass with big gaps so no one could be in the bathroom getting ready or showering if anyone else was in the toilet room. Also, there was a slider on the outside of the shower that allows the entire room to see you in the shower which was odd. I understand the desire for this if it was a couples trip but why not have the sliding door on the inside so the naked person can make the decision rather than anyone on the outside deciding to open it mid-shower? Parking is a whopping $60 a night plus there is only valet which means you either tip every single time you pull your car in or out or you feel like a jerk. The valet guys were great and we wanted to tip everyone but ran out of small cash bills quickly. We stayed two nights and had to pull our car out 4 times which is 8 tips. When you're paying $120 to park that's crazy! The jacuzzi is just warm not hot and the jets when on are cold! That was bummer. Overall I don't think we will return because there are so many awesome hotels in the area to try but we did enjoy our stay and found it worth the money! The Shorebreak Hotel doesn't charge for dogs so we will be going there next time!

Families beware of the pool - plenty of seating but when the sun is out the umbrellas are claimed…read moreby people who paid for sun beds and unless you pay $300 for a sun bed you don't get an umbrella had my newborn and 6 year old by the pool over the weekend. Pool manager would not give us an umbrella despite nobody using them.... I told her even if we could have it for a little bit and when those people come we would give it back just so i could feed my son in peace and give him some shade. "There was nothing she could do" i then went for the hotel manager to see if they could step in and they weren't in, asked for the next person in charge she wouldn't even come out of the back room - just sent the front desk girl back to tell me she can't do anything... despite being incredible respectful and kind and literally begging for 5 hours for an umbrella there was "nothing to be done" i even asked for the cabana boys umbrella that wasn't being used in the corner... finally after hours of asking our amazing poolside waitress who kept fighting for us Natalie asked the people who weren't using one of the TWO umbrellas they had for the sun bed they generously gave it to us. We were so grateful.... Soo basically bring down the hand held umbrella in the closet HAHA cause you're screwed... not sure why the hotel doesn't have more umbrellas considering it's $600 a night.... And it's ridiculous to pay $300 for an umbrella basically. Hopefully they figure out the umbrella situation multiple people were pissed. ALSO- Peter best bell hop in the whole place! He's absolutely incredible and kind. He's extremely helpful with everything. Definitely request him
