We came here in 2022 and again in 2025 for prom dresses for my daughters. No one else has the selections for us that OC sparkle does. There are always plenty of different dresses in plenty of different styles to try on. We've left happy each time we came here and my girls both got so many compliments at their proms. I was in a huge crunch to buy a formal gown for a fundraising event the following day. I found this place after a quick search, and felt a little overwhelmed when I entered the store. Thank goodness for a very helpful staff member who asked for my size and what type of dress I was looking for. I chose a few dresses and tried them all on. I loved the private dressing room but also the 180 degree mirror and pedestal in the store so I could see the dresses I tried on from every angle! When I finally found the dress I loved, it was way too big in my size. The staff member pulled out the same dress in a different color, 2 sizes smaller than I usually wear. She assured me that the brand I chose was typically sized larger and encouraged me to try it on. I did...and it fit like a glove! The dress was perfect for the event and my husband could not stop staring at me all night. I don't usually write reviews but the customer service displayed by the owner was terrible, he was rude, and not understanding. I ordered a dress back in January that did not come in until February/March. When I received the dress it wasn't the color I wanted so I took it back to the store to exchange it. I didn't find a dress that I liked that day and it was very busy when I went in, so the girl working there told me she knew my situation and that I could come back whenever I wanted to exchange it. I recently went back and the owner was very rude, not understanding that HIS employee did not inform me of a 3 day return policy. He did not budge even though I did not want my money back, only to exchange for a different dress. It was never worn and never even taken out of the dress bag. I try to support small businesses but when you treat your customers like the owner did, telling me he couldn't believe what I was asking for, it is hard to continue to support. The girls working there are sweet, but beware of the creepy owner who only wants to take your money. read more

We had an appointment and since there wasn't an appointment after us, the sales girl let my daughter try on more than 4 dresses and stay longer than an hour. We didn't feel rushed or pressured. I bought a $500 dress and was told I can exchange it whenever I wanted, only for them to update their return policy, not honor their word, and the owner to be rude and passive aggressive. The older man who is the owner told me it was ridiculous to ask, said returning a dress (never worn) is like returning a used car, and said they have the best customer service. Called 3 weeks ago asked if they had a dress that was on their website and they said they had it in store. Made an appointment. Drove an hour from the IE to try on that specific dress. Arrived and was greeted by a female in jeans and a sweatshirt. We told her we had an appointment which apparently means nothing at this store. Asked about the dress because they didn't know why we were there. When I said I wanted to try on the dress they said they had, she said yeah we don't have that here. What!? So I asked about another dress (on their website) and she said no we don't have that one either. I looked around and found some to try on just for size and was told I would have to wait for a dressing room. I said I have an appointment why do I need to wait? And was told the store was busy due to the prom season. So don't bother with an appointment, you get treated the same as any other schmo walking in off the street. The staff were rude and aloof it was really underwhelming. Disappointed I wasted my time and left empty handed. Also apparently this business is NOT accredited through the BBB because if it was I would have complained there too! read more

Michelle helped me today, and she was fantastic. I found a feather dress that I love, and is exactly what I want for my wedding. I also bought a dress on eBay, that I HATED. She took one look at the photos and could tell it was a replica. I have submitted a return request due to what she pointed out. The bead pattern was wrong, and it was more pearls rather than crystals. I knew the dress wasn't "right" but I couldn't figure out why. DO NOT GO IN HERE. The sales woman was beyond rude and makes you feel so uncomfortable from the minute you walk in. I couldn't even look at a dress without her telling me to be careful and make sure the dress didn't touch the ground yet, she didn't offer to show it to me or pull it out for me instead. Then I'm looking at a dress and she has the nerve to tell me... "no you won't like that it's a huge ball gown" when 1. She hasn't even asked me what I'm looking for and 2. Did you literally graduate from worst salesman ever school? And 3. You clearly just really didn't want me to look at it because you're too lazy to help me try it on. On top of that, my friend asked to try on a dress and she said "we're closing in 10 minutes..." okay and? Absolutely unbelievable it took every ounce of power in me not to go off on her. Also, besides the rudest girl ever working there the dresses are all from 2012 and over priced. If you hate your job that much then go do something else don't ruin everyone else's day. we went here twice in search of a prom dress. first time we didn't have an appointment and politely asked if we can just browse. the workers were very snobby, however we gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they were overwhelmed because we didn't have an appointment. we browsed and found very outdated and childish styles. the styles had very limited sizes and we could barely find anything bigger than a size 4. we again gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they were just running low at that point. we were so uncomfortable by the workers we couldn't spend more than 15 minutes in the store. second time we went we had an almost identical experience, except there were only 2 of us going and we had an appointment. i told the stylist what i was looking for and i was entirely dismissed. i tried handing her a dress to put in the fitting room and she turned her back and walked away when i had made eye contact with her. again, sizing was limited and we STRUGGLED to find a dress (in ANY color of that style) in a size bigger than a 6. the workers again were SO RUDE and mean to us. we've had a lot of bad shopping experiences but never one that warranted a negative yelp review. all of the dresses were tacky and we found a total of 3 that were even OPTIONS for a semi simple a-line dress that wasn't a giant poofy ball gown. i've never cried when trying on dresses or clothes but i was never closer to it than i was at this place and so much of it was because of the workers. they gave us the nastiest looks and had the most disrespectful behavior towards us. i don't know what it was. maybe it was because we didn't look "rich enough" to shop there and they didn't think we could afford it when we were more than capable of affording any dress in that store. the definition of wasted time and gas money. save yours read more

I just want to start by saying that my daughter and I were extremely happy with the service here. It does say on their website that appointment is recommended, so I called, and I was able to get an appointment on that same day! As soon as we got there, a young lady did ask if we had an appointment and we said yes. They let us browse for a bit and pick out dresses to try on at the time of our appointment. The dresses are a little on the pricier side but for special occasions, it's worth it and they have a good variety of beautiful dresses. The young ladies assistant us were extremely attentive, explained everything from sizing, and asked what we were looking for in order to better assist us with types of styles. My daughter was able to try on multiple dresses for her senior prom and was able to find what she wanted. They have a stool and a mirror to see yourself with dress on, which was nice. The person who worked here in place of the owner was not too friendly nor helpful. He was handicapped and creepily watched over you while you are browsing through their dresses and there is a tacky sign on the door which clearly states you are only allowed to try on 4 dresses. He then makes a comment saying the smaller sizes are towards the front and the ones I was browsing were the bigger sizes. First off, do not make any assumptions about any women's body. Secondly, who are you to tell me what size I am or not. I didn't appreciate the horrible customer service provided by this gentleman. I also felt pressured to narrow down the dress to four to try on. It's good to just look at the quality of the dresses from designers like Jovani, Sherri Hill, Shail K and so forth, but once you know your size order the dresses somewhere else.
