I had the most terrible bridal alterations experience of my life! As a first-time bride, I had no idea what to expect and from the second I showed up to this woman's home, it was an eerily quiet mausoleum-like space. There was one other woman in the room working and she gave me a glare when I said hi. I was crammed into a tiny closet to get into my dress, with zero guidance or support. Without any consultation, she started cutting out the breast pads of my dress and pinning me awkwardly. There was no conversation at all while she was doing this. Then, out of nowhere, she told me it would cost $1,200 - no discussion, no flexibility. When I asked for time to think about it because this shocked me a little, she said this is not a consultation. I charge for consultations. This is an appointment. And I said, this is my first time ever coming here, can I have time to make a decision? And she said never mind, just leave. She rushed me out, saying it was too late. I left in tears. I would never, ever recommend this place to any bride...it was humiliating and extremely unprofessional!!!!! read more

I live about an hour away from her home (that she works out of), and when we realized there were just a couple more tweaks needed when I went to pick up my dress, she went out of her way to make the necessary adjustments on the spot! Was recommended here after purchasing my wedding dress from Blush Bridal Couture in the OC. My wedding dress arrived in Jan and our wedding was in May, so that gave me a few months to get all my alterations done in time. Nazzi was very flexible in scheduling the appointments, since I was coming from out of town each time for my alterations. We had a total of 3 appointments, each time I was able to see the progress she made and she was able to make adjustments as needed. I am on the smaller side, so there were lots of size adjustments needed once we tried on my wedding dress. There were also some parts that I wanted to make changes to, such as the adjusting the neckline/bust and filling in the see-through side panels of my dress. She was very helpful with her suggestions and took note of all the things that I wanted to fix. I also asked her to alter my reception dress too. My wedding dress was a tight mermaid style dress and she made it fit like a glove. It came out so beautifully. She also showed me how to bustle the dress. Hiring Nazzi to alter my dress continues to be my biggest regret from my wedding. Nazzi has glowing reviews on yelp, the pictures speak for themselves and she's the only alteration service recommended by Blush Bridal (where I bought my dress). Unfortunately, my experience with Nazzi was incredibly disappointing and I cannot recommend her services to anyone seeking quality alterations. Speaking from MY experience: the workmanship on my dress was subpar. The dress looked unflattering. After her alterations I now had hip dips, the thighs were not tapered enough, it was clear that the zipper on the back was sticking out, and the dress had many wrinkles and crinkles - it did not have a smooth silhouette which is so important for these types of dresses. When I pointed out the issues with the alterations, Nazzi tried to make some changes (which I appreciate) but ultimately told me a number of times "there's nothing else I can do." I reluctantly signed a form Nazzi had me sign to verify that I was satisfied with her work and picked up my dress. To make matters worse, the pricing for these lackluster alterations was unreasonably high. I knew the prices upfront and I was happy to pay it but I was expecting results similar to everything else I was seeing on her yelp page. I lost 6 lbs from when I was sized at Blush Bridal to my actual wedding day and no more than 4 lbs between my last 2 appointments with Nazzi. Its been months and I still feel extremely frustrated and let down. I strongly advise anyone seeking dress alterations to explore other options in the area. If you do come to Nazzi with your dress I strongly recommend bringing a friend or family member. I was referred to Nazzi by Blush Bridal and initially had a very positive impression. When I first reached out, she was responsive and provided general pricing information for alterations on both of my wedding dresses. She also offered to schedule an in-person appointment to give me a more accurate quote, which I appreciated and felt confident moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience during the appointment was very disappointing. When I tried on my first dress, she insisted that extensive alterations were needed to the corset portion of my dress and quoted me nearly $1,300. This was surprising, especially since the seamstress I am now working with did not feel those alterations were necessary at all. When I asked to try on my second dress to receive a complete estimate before making a decision, she refused and told me I needed to decide in that moment. I explained that my mom would be paying and that I needed a full quote beforehand, at which point she sighed audibly, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. My second dress, which is 3-4 sizes too big due to buying it off the rack, was quoted at a much more reasonable price. However, the total for both dresses came out to nearly $2,000. She then told me that my main dress required a "professional" implying others could not handle it, that it didn't matter who altered my second dress. She even went as far as to suggest that I shouldn't wear my second dress at all, which was upsetting. Even though it was purchased off the rack, it was still expensive. When I expressed that I wanted to get a second opinion due to the high cost, her demeanor shifted further. She made additional rude remarks and ultimately told me she was no longer interested in working with me. I understand that Nazzi is likely very busy and took time out of her day to meet with me. However, no one should feel pressured to commit to something they are not fully comfortable or confident about. I also want to note that the seamstress I ultimately chose was not significantly cheaper. However, the experience was professional, respectful, and collaborative. If I had received that same level of service and professionalism from Nazzi, I likely would have moved forward with her despite the pricing. I strongly believe that as a bride you should feel comfortable and respected when choosing vendors, especially for something as important as your wedding dress. Unfortunately, her attitude and overall approach were off-putting and unprofessional. I would caution other brides to carefully consider their options before working with her. read more

Seeing Nazzi was my biggest regret throughout my entire wedding planning process. I had to take my dress to a new seamstress after I paid Nazzi $1700 for subpar work and rude customer service. Please do not go here. If there's one negative review to believe, it's this one! PLEASE READ: 1st Appt: There was no consultation. She just started working on my dress which I thought was fine, she's the professional and knows what she's doing. However about 20 minutes in I noticed she was planning to take out some of the sheer fabric which I wanted to keep. I asked her if we can pin it a different way to keep the sheer on and she let out the biggest sigh and started being rough with my dress when she was taking the pins out and for the remainder of the appt. She left my dress slightly loose and I asked if we should take it in more and she said "No, we'll do that at the next fitting." 2nd Appt: I try on the dress and she accuses me of losing weight. I kindly reminded her that we left the dress loose at the 1st fitting, and I am on top of my diet/gym routine that I purposely gained 1-2lbs because I thought I got too lean. I have the weight scale app as proof of my body weight/weight gain. She goes, "No, I would never leave a dress loose, you lost weight! Don't lose more weight." Me being so intimidated of her, I just kept quiet and let her keep working. She continues to bash me for losing weight and explains she will need to charge me next time if I lose more weight and I politely said, "Okay I understand, but I promise you I did gain 1-2lbs." She goes, "Well I guess you just lost your boobs then." LOL! I was not offended but just more baffled at the lack of accountability. Once she was done pinning the dress, I just stayed 1 extra minute (not exaggerating) to examine how it looks and fits. I guess she wanted me out ASAP so she sarcastically says, "You want me to finish the dress tonight?" just because I didn't leave right away. Mind you she would not let me walk around with the dress to see how it holds up because "it will ruin the pins." Walking around and sitting is a requirement for other seamstresses to make sure the dress fits so I was taken aback when she didn't want me moving in it. Dress Pickup: First glance my dress looked fine but she wanted me out ASAP (again) that I couldn't fully examine everything... And by now I'm just terrified of her lol. I did notice the dress felt a little loose but she said it's fine. I reIuctantly signed the form saying everything is great and if I need to make more changes I have to pay more. I went home to try it on again and noticed that the boning she added looks terrible and is popping out, throwing off my silhouette. I reached out to see if she can fix it hoping that I didn't need to pay more. Luckily she took me in the next morning and tried to fix it on the spot, but when she was done it was still popping out. She said "that's normal, this is the best it's gonna get." I just settled for it and left because she couldn't do anything else. I felt so sad and defeated, and worst of all I didn't feel beautiful in a dress that I paid thousands for. I went home and immediately started looking for another seamstress to fix my dress just THREE days before my flight to my destination wedding. Luckily I found someone who squeezed me in even though she was fully booked. She truly transformed my dress. She saw there was more work to fix than just the boning. I paid more money to fix Nazzi's work but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Choosing Nazzi was a big regret, but the new seamstress I went to made me love my wedding dress again. I don't write bad reviews ever and I feel bad for doing this, but my experience with Nazzi was so gut-wrenching that I have to warn everyone. Wedding alterations should be an uplifting experience because this is the most exciting time of your life and you only go through this bridal experience once.
