The woman who answered the phone seemed perplexed by the mention of Groupon and left me on hold for about five minutes. Finally a man picked up the call and stated that he was the owner of this business. In order to begin this program I would have to go elsewhere and pay for an ekg and blood test before I could even make an appointment. Of course that would be more $$$$$ out of my pocket. Because there was no way that I would be able to jump through these hoops, the business owner advised me to contact Groupon and he would allow a full refund. So I contacted Groupon. The only way to contact Groupon is by "chatting" with a bot somewhere in Asia. I was informed that my request would have to be sent to an investigation unit and that I would be contacted within 24 hours. That was over a week ago and the Groupon is now expired. I contacted Groupon again today and was told exactly what was stated last time verbatim, that the request would be escalated and I would hear back in 24 hours. That translates into the merchant won't refund your money so kiss $90 goodbye. Btw I called around to other weight loss clinics in the area. None of them required an ekg and blood work, if needed was included in the cost of the program and would be done in house. In other words, if you spend $90 for this three week weight loss program you will also need to spend $hundreds for blood analysis and an ekg. Oh. And the fine print of the Groupon explicitly states that a refund would be given to candidates who do not qualify. SO WHERE IS MY REFUND?

I had to bring my son and they offered him snack and drinks and let him sit in his own area to play video games as he could not come back with me to get my shot. JOSH -offered me water and snacks and explained the surgery in detail and reassured me of how easy and virtually painless procedure that it was and how quick it would be. He made me feel good, confident and cared for. He was very attentive kind and had a great sense of humor. He was like this with the ladies next to me as well, other patients. Thank you Josh! As a medical professional of 28 years, I understand the difference in personality and opinions that doctors can have. Dr Eng was positively awful. He was cocky, arrogant and condescending. He made little eye contact, was defensive and his bedside manner was non existent. His unprofessionalism in critiquing his colleague was beyond off putting. He lacked compassion and the ability to listen and understand. I fully understand that doctors have different personalities, opinions and styles, but I am so unsettled by him. It was a waste of the copay. I am just shocked that Hoag would employ a person of this demeanor . This is a time where I wished AI would have scribed the visit. I would love for a colleague to review. He appears very inexperienced and green in medicine. It will take a lot to make him a successful physician. Everyone did a phenomenal job explaining the procedure during pre-op, but what really stood out was how lighthearted and funny they were. They cracked jokes throughout the process, which helped calm our nerves, because let's be honest, most people are at least a little anxious before anesthesia. Dr. Chi was fantastic at explaining the surgery and making sure my husband felt informed. The anesthesiologist (Dr. Gananiyja? Sorry lol doctor's handwriting in the notes is real ) was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor that put us at ease.
