Everyone did a phenomenal job explaining the procedure during pre-op, but what really stood out was how lighthearted and funny they were. They cracked jokes throughout the process, which helped calm our nerves, because let's be honest, most people are at least a little anxious before anesthesia. Dr. Chi was fantastic at explaining the surgery and making sure my husband felt informed. The anesthesiologist (Dr. Gananiyja? Sorry lol doctor's handwriting in the notes is real ) was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor that put us at ease. A special shoutout to the pre-op nurse too (we can't remember if her name was Elaine or Daniela!). She explained everything she was doing, even when placing the needles, which was reassuring and helped my husband feel comfortable. Overall, such an amazing experience. We're so grateful for the incredible care from everyone on the team!

The nurses were great, special shout out to Jana for her help during pre-op, the doctors were great, and everyone was kind and knowledgeable. I was at ease the entire time. Hopefully I will never need another orthopedic surgery, but if I do, I can tell you, I'm coming back here.

My wife recently underwent a long-awaited total hip replacement with Dr. Nassif, and the care we received was exceptional. Even arriving at 5:00 AM, we were met with so much joy and warmth from the registration and pre-op teams. My wife had a phenomenal recovery nurse named Cathy, who made a wonderful impression right out of surgery. Once she was moved to her room, a young man named Jose, who clearly has so much potential went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcomed, and reassured while waiting for a new team to arrive to my wife's room. Her RN, Alvin, was fantastic at keeping her comfortable with her pain management, and the entire nursing assistant team was incredibly attentive whenever she needed a hand. They made our stressful week feel completely safe and supported!

When I was in a state of anxiety and trying to see as many doctors as possible to get different…read moreopinions, I found Dr. Melikian at DISC. I had generally good experiences with doctors I had seen there in the past. He is more of a spine specialist, focusing on the neck and back. When I came in, I was having issues with both my neck and shoulders. After looking at my neck X-rays and MRIs, he noted that my shoulders were likely the bigger issue at the time. I could move my neck up and down without too much trouble, but my shoulders had difficulty rotating. Despite that, he was able to refer me to another DISC doctor, Dr. Shore. More importantly, I never felt like I was being rushed out the door, unlike many doctors who seem to just want to get patients in and out for a paycheck. In fact, toward the end of my appointment, he made sure I did not have any more questions before we parted. To me, that is a sign of a doctor who actually cares, which feels surprisingly rare given the number of doctors I have seen over the last several years. While he was great, I also have to give a special shoutout to his assistant, Joanna. She might be one of the best doctor's assistants I have seen. The assistants I have known generally get a good idea of what is going on and log your symptoms so the doctor can look at you more efficiently, but Joanna went above and beyond. She did more than a typical assistant would by checking the multiple issues I was having, including rotator tests, hand-grip strength, shoulder rotation, and various sensitive points. Similar to Dr. Melikian, I felt like she genuinely cared about what was going on and wanted to make sure I was receiving the right treatment. She was the first person to make me realize that I needed to focus more on my shoulder. Of course, she still told the doctor about everything just in case, but it says something when an assistant does more thorough checks than some actual MDs I have seen. It also says something that, even though I did not receive treatment from Dr. Melikian and he ultimately referred me elsewhere, he was one of the few doctors who was very assertive about making sure I scheduled a follow-up appointment. Even when I was in a rush to leave, his assistant reached out and emailed me to schedule an appointment, making sure I was okay with it. That is the sign of a doctor who really cares. Overall, in a weird way, I am kind of sad that my issues were not more related to my neck, since both Dr. Melikian and his assistant, Joanna, were great. Based on the reviews I have seen on Yelp and Google, many people seem to have had similarly positive experiences. If your issues are more related to your neck or back, I would consider getting an opinion from Dr. Melikian.

My goal was to regain 100% range of motion so I could resume my normal activities including my exercise regimen comprising dumbbells and chinning bar. I had spoken to a neighbor older than me who had a torn rotator cuff repaired and could not reach up much above her shoulder. That was not for me. I knew that young people and sports people required 100% restoration while old people probably did not care as much. My research of Dr. Labovitch revealed that he was a sports medicine physician. Sports people with an injury don't want to have any limitations after treatment, so that was the best sign that Dr. Labovitch was the orthopedic surgeon for me. When I went to his office, I gained my ultimate confidence when his waiting room was filled mostly with young people. My surgery was successful, and although it took a bit (maybe 9 months) of expected rehab effort on my part, done partly at home, I regained 100% range of motion, and my arm and shoulder felt no different from the way it was before my accident. I had several subsequent visits to Dr. Labovitch for different issues, and each time his diagnosis was perfect and my recovery complete and uneventful. When requiring PT I always went to California Rehabilitation & Sports Therapy at 36 Mauchly in Irvine, run by Anthony Bisaccia, who is very competent, has a great team, and is wonderful to work with.

I just wanted to post this review because I don't think what I was told was correct. So the office manager should make sure their staff is protecting their patients during every X Ray. This is why I gave only a 2 Star rating. But they are good and Dr Labovitch is knowledgeable and nice.

He is, without question, the best doctor I've had in my 55 years. What makes him exceptional isn't just his knowledge (which is extensive), but how deeply he cares. He listens. He takes his time. He never makes you feel like just another appointment on the schedule. You feel seen, heard, and respected. Over the years, I've developed a level of trust with him that allows me to be completely honest about my health, knowing he is always looking out for my well-being. He approaches care as a partnership, which has made a huge difference in my quality of life. He is also constantly staying ahead of the curve--bringing in new technologies, therapies, and alternative options--but always with careful research and consideration. He doesn't chase trends; he ensures what he offers is safe, effective, and truly beneficial. And his team? Absolutely incredible. Kind, genuine, and welcoming every single visit. They create an environment that is not only professional, but genuinely positive. After everything I've been through medically, I don't say this lightly: this office stands apart from all the rest. If you are looking for a doctor who truly cares and is committed to helping you live your best life despite chronic pain, I cannot recommend Dr. Gluzman highly enough.

Review for Dr. Rose's Office/front desk not Dr. Rose as I was unable to meet with him…read more I was a new patient with an 8:15 AM appointment. My daughter and I arrived at 8a.m, checked in and was asked to complete my online forms which I completed in 5 minutes. I let her know I was done and she said the other staff member would get me set up. We waited in the lobby for 50 minutes. During that time, every other patient who walked in after us was called back within five minutes. Eventually, I approached the front desk to ask when I'd be seen, only to be told they were waiting on me to complete the new patient forms. I had actually filled them out right when I arrived and notified the staff, but apparently, there was a lack of communication. Because of the delay, I had to leave without being seen--despite being in constant pain and having scheduled this appointment a month in advance. I also had my daughter's appointment scheduled right after mine, which we had to cancel as well. I requested my ID and insurance card back and left disappointed. Dr. Rose clearly has a very busy practice, but it's frustrating when poor administrative coordination prevents patients from receiving care--especially those who arrive on time and are in need. A suggestion for the front desk staff: If you're holding a patient's ID and insurance card, and they're expected to complete online forms, check in with them after a few minutes. A quick confirmation could avoid unnecessary delays like this one. It was very disheartening to watch every other patient be seen while I sat there unknowingly overlooked. I took time off work. Unfortunately, I'll need to find another orthopedic specialist. I had high hopes for this visit, but I left feeling dismissed and upset.
