Okay... this place is going to be a hit. Part of me almost didn't want to write this review because as a local I'd still like to be able to get a seat at the bar. But credit where credit is due... they absolutely nailed it. The finishes and overall design are next level. There's honestly nothing else like it on the island. The Buccaneer is well done, but this is a step up in terms of polish and overall vibe. What really impressed me is the indoor-outdoor flow. A lot of places try to do this and it ends up feeling disconnected. Not here. The indoor bar flows right into the outdoor bar so the whole space feels breezy and open. It has that effortless coastal energy that you want when you're grabbing a drink by the water. The seating is high-end, the marble bar tops are beautiful, and the entire layout feels thoughtfully designed. Even the bar stations are perfectly positioned... the indoor station with all the accoutrements is literally steps from the outdoor bar. You can tell whoever designed this actually understood how a bar should function. The staff was upbeat, positive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Yes, it's day two... but you would never know it. Service was attentive without being overbearing and there were multiple staff members checking in to see if we needed anything. The menu is surprisingly big and honestly everything sounded good. Burgers, ahi tuna nachos, coconut curry mussels, steak & arugula flatbread, raw bar, six unique salads, a Poké bowl, rock shrimp chowder, no less than nine handhelds, and then entrees to boot - there is more than something for everyone. And the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. An avocado BLT passed by that looked like it was made with actual love... which is always the sign of a great chef. We did try the aji tuna nachos and they were fantastic. Fresh ahi tuna layered with seaweed salad, mango, corn, wasabi mayo, eel sauce, scallions, and avocado... every bite had a great balance of flavors. Creative, fresh, and easily one of the standout appetizers on the menu. The interior decor is beautiful, and the fire feature in the back adds a really nice upscale element. Bottom line... this place is going to be packed. And for once, the hype will actually be deserved.

Ocean Ave Bar & Kitchen is quickly becoming one of our new favorite dining spots. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and friendly from the moment we arrived. We chose to sit on the patio and loved the relaxed coastal atmosphere -- the seating was also surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The menu has so many great options it was hard to decide. After hearing other tables rave about the appetizers, we ended up adding even more to our order -- and we're so glad we did. The rock shrimp chowder, octopus, hand-cut fries, and biscuits were all outstanding. I'm already craving the octopus again! For entrées, the grass-fed filet was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the heirloom carrots. The fried Bell & Evans chicken sandwich had an amazing crunch and flavor, and the rockfish with grits was absolutely delicious -- the kind of dish you just keep going back for. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't pass up the key lime pie, which was the perfect finish. (Next time I definitely need to try the five-layer chocolate cake!) I also noticed they have a great wine selection. And several tables nearby were raving about the fried oysters, which gives us another reason to come back soon.

Buratta and tomatoes were cold, refreshing and delicious.

Sat outside at the bar. Very attentive staff. Drinks were good and so was the food. Smash burger and roast beef sandwich were amazing dunked in a hot bowl on French onion soup. Bonus for having really good water and Buffalo Trace. Old fashioneds were spot on perfect. 1/2 mile walk from the resorts and way better than the alternative bar food offerings close by.

    Smash burger and redfish sandwich!

    10. Very very good. Must visit. Shrimp soup amazing. Smash burger excellent. Up there with Shifty's and Restoration Hardware! Just go.

Great, first night at Ocean Ave, sat at the bar, beautiful night. Staff is ready to go and friendly and the food was awesome. my wife is Gluten sensitive, but she had the sourdough and loved it.

Only their second day into a soft opening. Excellent menu, a little different! Prices are reasonable for the area. Two couples shared crab cakes and a Cubano. Both Excellent. Very nice atmosphere. A little classier than the other nearby restaurants. All in all, we definitely be back to try more menu items. I wish them the best of luck!

I was steered toward the burger and was promised "the best tots" he ever had. Our party got a burger, a grilled chicken sandwich and a pizza. I will have zero hesitation ordering any of them ever again. And he tots? Divine. Nothing souped up and not drenched in anything - just well -cooked, properly salted and fresh. My husband also LOVED the sweet tea. Server as perfectly attentive - not clingy, not overbearing or trying too hard. Offered us drinks (non-alcoholic) to go. We will be back.

The food is elevated bar food done right, and the atmosphere is loud, lively, and fun. I loved the open warehouse-style layout--especially since it was a beautiful day and the garage doors facing the beach were open. The ocean breeze flowing through made the space feel airy and comfortable, even though the place was packed. It never felt congested or claustrophobic. We started with the cheese curds, and they were delicious--I honestly could've ordered two. Even better, they were a happy hour special for just $10, which felt like a great deal. I ordered the turkey club with tater tots, and both were excellent. It's definitely something I'd order again. My husband had a build-your-own pizza and couldn't stop raving about it. The pizza was light, crispy, and had just the right amount of toppings--not overloaded, just perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was just really cool. It feels like a place for any age, whether you're stopping in for food, drinks, or one of their events. I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu and would love to check out karaoke night or another event during the week or weekend. Definitely worth a visit.

It had the requisite giant fish tank and wall-mounted swordfish, but it was a big step up from the "fried fish in a basket" motif. The outside seating is great with the waterfront view, but it was too cool to eat outdoors. The inside was nice. Pleasant vibe, good for conversation. The food was great. We had the beet salad, oysters, and grouper over risotto, finished off with mango key lime pie. All were really good. Perfect meal. Big shout out to our server Sammie. You didn't taste any lobster at all though. Warm peanut butter chocolate chip cookie 7/10 The cookie was actually super dry and crumbled with every bite. I would have liked it to be more combined. The toasted marshmallows was a nice touch, and the roasted nuts were good too. The caramel was thick and cold because of the ice cream, and there was no ganache.
