Dropped in for an impromptu meal with a friend. While there were assigned parking spaces for the restaurant they were all taken even though the restaurant was not busy. It took a moment to realize we were allowed to seat ourselves because there was a sign that said wait to be seated. A guest of the restaurant informed us we could seat ourselves and so we did. Bridget, our server, was amazing. Super attentive and had our orders ready in a timely fashion. I had the empanadas and my friend had the steak quesadilla; food was excellent and hot. The atmosphere was nice, chill island vibes for sure. Good place to just stop into if you don't have any concrete plans but want a good bite to eat. Surprised to see a 3 star average, to be honest. We had a really nice lunch. Nate, our waiter, was personable, friendly, funny and professional. I was waiting for a private boat leaving for peanut island and stopped by this Tiki and the bartender (Bill) was absolutely amazing and just a joy. I ordered the Cobb salad to go and a lemon drop shot. The Cobb salad was delicious and they had quality dressing paired with it. Sometimes restaurants water the dressing down. They were quick with the service too. It's cozy and they have fans in the tiki so it's extremely comfortable and super chill. Came here on a whim when we were doing our walK to know the area. It was a Saturday and the only place I think in the marina that was open. I love their Guavarita and their Passion Fruit Mojito. Rafiki Tiki has a gorgeous setting location right across a roadway from a park with lovely palm trees, a fountain, and the beach. So, it does sort of have that Tiki Beach atmosphere. I sat at the bar. The bartender took my order but was rather abrupt about it and not all that friendly. I think she was having a nicotine fit because she quickly disappeared to a corner to smoke. So, the overall service sort of sucked. I had a beer and their flatbread caprese to eat. The flatbread was comprised of basil pesto and tomato topped with mozzarella cheese and some shaved parmesan. The best I can say about it is that it was OK. They tout their food as being Floribbean, but in their case, I'd say just higher-end bar food. That is unless you consider tacos, ropa vieja, or Philly cheese steak as being Floribbean cuisine. LOL! read more

What was the absolutely most disappointing was the food. My friend ordered the mahi sandwich and had to return it because the fish was chewy. My burger was terrible and coconut shrimp and sweet potatoe fries and onion rings were rock hard. Oh! And the shrimp scampi was nothing more than boiled noodles and shrimp thrown on top. I just went for Happy Hour on a very windy, overcast late afternoon. Sitting at the bar with the view of the Intracoastal and the wind gusts all around was really refreshing. It was two for one beer, wine, and well drinks. I ordered two items off the $5 HH menu -- conch fritters and snapper ceviche. I mentioned the fritters in my review nearly a year ago, but they were better this evening. Very good. The ceviche was amazing considering it was $5! I ordered another one when getting ready to leave and boxed it up after one bite. Great appetizer! I was really surprised how good these two items were after my mediocre review on my first visit 11 months ago. Shout out to Gina Louise, an extremely helpful and kind bartender. She went above and beyond with my friend's picky menu order, as well as with menu recommendations and friendly conversation. She's fantastic! I've been here many times but this was the first time I went on a sunday. This is an outside seating venue only so thank goodness the heat was bearable today. They had live music going and as the evening progressed it started to get pretty packed but in a good way. For food I went with the peruvian rice bowl. Its basically been my go to dish from the menu which is stacked with all kinds of things. Definitely something for everyone. This bar is located at the Riviera Beach Marina Village. As its name indicates, this is a Tiki Bar, and consists of an outdoor patio with a bar in the middle of the restaurant. It can be too hot for some people to eat here, but the place is nicely decorated (with a Floridian/Caribbean style) and with the view of the marina. I came here recently with a friend for lunch and we decided to just share a few appetizers: we had chips with salsa and queso, mozzarella sticks, croquetas de jamon, ceviche and tostones. Everything was good (especially the croquetas) but in my opinion is on the expensive side. I had white wine with the food, which was ok. I did find their service a little bit particular though: when we both ordered another glass, they brought us the wine in a plastic cup and poured it in our glasses. They have HH during the weekdays from 4-7pm, and what they offer apparently varies every day: considering their prices, this is the only time I would consider stopping here again for a drink and a bite. read more

For me when it comes to visiting a bar, lounge and restaurant, first impression counts. Perhaps my first visit to Rafiki Tiki, to chill with good friends, to watch the Bills vs Ravens game, and enjoy live music, was on the wrong Sunday, as the Tiki bar had three birthday parties going on. This placed was packed! The wait staff was overwhelmed. The bar staff, 3 in total were overwhelmed. I attempted to find the manager for RT and I gave up after 5 minutes because doing so was a lost cause. The two waitresses whom I tried to flag down to order drinks blurted that as there are three birthday parties they are super busy (and overwhelmed). The placed was packed, and hardly any walking space. To me and my friends this meant that our drink wait time will exceed 30 minutes and forget about ordering food, We positioned ourselves at the left side of the bar, beside the definitely pleasing live band. That was our distraction from keeping attention as to how thirsty we were. My friend Jill informed me that while she was seeking the female bartenders attention, upon brief conversation to order her drink, the female bartender placed her hand in front of Jill's face and walked away. Perhaps the management was not proactive to schedule more staff to accommodate the crowd stemming from the three birthday parties and additional walk ins. Yes the entire staff appeared overwhelmed and unapologetic for being so. A dreadful service experience!! Finally, a little after 30 mins wait, my buddy Moses and I, flagged down Johanna to drink order of two classic mojitos. We made it simple as we were sure anything more would have meant a significant wait for the drinks to reach us. We were right, with the back up the bar was facing, was another 12 minutes until we received our drinks. Please note that based on drink or food order, if the persons ordering do not pay in cash, there is an additional surcharge for card payments. In our case $2.25. There was moments of sunshine in this otherwise very muggy and forgetful experience at RT. The live music was good and the Buffalo Bills won the game. I always believe in salvaging a bad experience and try and enjoy with friends. Had to convince my buddy to do the same and what better way than to have a round of Michelob Ultra after our Mojitos. I am happy we did not order food. I would not have enjoyed it. As we were waiting for our drinks, I overheard two conversations between folks at the table behind us as to how the food lacked flavor and was expensive. On a sidenote, Rafiki Tiki has 227 reviews on Yelp. Of those reviews, 66 are one star reviews, and 20 are two star reviews. After writing this review, I am not averse to visiting RT once again, hopefully for a different experience. read more

We picked up this place while going to Peanut island as this restaurant is near to the parking lot of the peanut island. Great staff and the service is very fast. The food was below average, we ordered chicken wings the sauces on the wings did not taste good. The tacos are average as well. I will not recommend this place for food. Drinks are average too, not much alcohol in the drinks they are just sweet. Ambiance is good and it has enough cooling fans on a hot sunny day. read more
