The good-The wait wasn't too bad and there were a lot of options for everyone in our group to head to a different section. The bad-there were not enough staff present to combat the throngs of people present. Probably a fine place to come if you have lots of kids &/or picky eaters since there are so many options. The hot food is pretty greasy & mostly breading or featuring gristly meats. The sushi was ok, seafood was way overcooked, the salads were floating in melty ice baths, patrons were pretty messy & the cleanliness of the food trays was generally hard to keep up with for the staff that was there-even though they were doing their best. This place does as well as can be expected for the kind of place it is. I honestly don't what to suggest as an improvement or how the more clean, tasty and orderly places we've visited in the past kept up and kept their places so clean and tidy! I felt crammed in-constantly had someone running/swerving around us with a plate of sweets or pile of chicken tenders, on their way back to wherever their parents were seated. We didn't have a great experience, but it definitely delivered what we expected, with a side of next day food poisoning that we'd have gladly skipped on the buffet options list! read more

This establishment is beautiful inside and very clean. We went yesterday which was a holiday so they had "Dinner" items out. I had crab legs. All kinds of shrimp, sashimi and crawfish. My only complaint is that the food wasn't hot. The staff was friendly and always filled up our tea.For such a pretty place inside they should work on the outside a bit more . I have been wanting to try this buffet since I heard about it a few months ago. We'll, I was finally able to drag my son with me last night. The main attraction for me was the seafood, namely the crab legs. First I must say that the place is beautiful. You feel like you're in a real restaurant and not a typical buffet. It is immaculate inside. The chafing dishes are all extremely clean. The staff is very attentive and so nice. Now the real reason I came here is the food, of course. I started with the sushi, which was not bad at all. I have some salmon sashimi which was very fresh and nice and cold. I also had a cucumber and crab mean wrapped in salmon and topped with roe. It was light and very delicious. I also had some peel and eat shrimp, which were nice and large and fresh as well. As for all.the other hot dishes, they were your basic dishes that you find at every other buffet. They were good, but most of the ones I had were either warm or just plain cold. Now the crab legs are what I came for...HUGE disappointment! They were tiny and had absolutely NO flavor. Almost like they were left in water too long. When I say no flavor, I mean ZERO flavor. I literally had to Crack them all open so the wait staff would think I ate them. So, in conclusion if you dont care about crab legs then I would say try it out. Very clean, constant food tray filling, lots of choices! Decent sushi, delicious brisket, and hibachi. We were definitely going for the crab legs, sushi, we'll seafood in general so we had more of the seafood than anything but definitely had our taste of a few of the other foods and they did not disappoint! My family and I are big fans of a quality Chinese buffet, and Ocean Buffet is very promising. Big, bright, spacious, clean, lots of options. I was most impressed with the sushi selection, which feels a lot greater than I've seen at other buffets. I also enjoyed the hibachi station where you put the food on the plate and they cook it up right there. This food was tasty and nice and hot. I did notice that while there are plenty of additional food options, the food was lukewarm. It could have been warmer. Also, the kids hope the ice cream machine is working on the next visit. Clean stations, clean restrooms, noticed staff frequently cleaning behind the stations as they prepped. Sushi, sashimi, grilled items, Hibachi, Chinese American items, American fare, salad bar, fruit station, dessert bar, soft serve ice cream, soups, even raw oysters. 2 hours is not enough to try everything. I went for Father's day with my family to celebrate and it was very chaotic. We are handicapped, and it seemed very unaccessible for handicapped individuals. The floors were extremely wet and slippery, and the tables were pushed together very closely which made it very hard to walk. There was food all over the floors and counters, and most of the surfaces were sticky. Kids were uncontrollably running all over the restaurant and people were pushing into each other. The food ended up getting a few of my family members sick the next day, and we called to let them know and their response was "Okay." and hung up. I have visited for take out 2-3 times prior. This trip I did sit down 'service'. When taking our drink orders, I asked if it was coke cola products to which the waitress said "yes". The drink was actually Pepsi. Hibachi served burnt rice and dry, but flavorful chicken. I noticed one of the guys behind the counter slicing veggies with no gloves and missing majority of each finger. I arrived 15mins after start of dinner seating, yet most of the food was lukewarm at best. There is a nice variety of food selections. I usually pay with a credit card, but tip in cash. Walked in & was very impressed with how large, clean, lovely, the place was. Enormous amount of food choices, including excellent sushi & raw seafood table (clams, shrimp, mussels, etc.). So many choices I doubt we tried 25% of what was available. And frankly, the ordinary buffet option were disappointing, very doughy, greasy, etc. The wonton soup broth was delicious but the wonton itself was a gluey blob with a small amount of meat inside. Ditto for everything fried. But except for the sushi/raw table, there were very few seafood choices. I would have expected with a name like Ocean buffet there'd be mostly seafood but no. And the price certainly justified the more expensive seafood! With a senior discount, at lunch, our bill came to $40! They charged us $1.49 each for a pot of tea. Since when has it become common for Chinese restaurants to do this? They didn't even warn us about the extra charge when we ordered it. There is also a huge display of wine bottles at the entrance. And a liquor menu on every table. Overall, the food was okay, ordinary buffet-style options, except the sushi was outstanding. But not worth the price. read more

Went on Sunday around 3pm. Group of 4 adults. It was super busy but we only waited 5 minutes for a seat. Food was all fresh and delicious. Crab legs were amazing and were constantly being refilled. Better than a lot of other buffets. All the other dishes were being refilled fast. Sushi was freshly made. Hibachi station was a new addition I've never seen anywhere. Everything was delicious. The only positive thing I can say about this restaurant is that it is relatively clean and well lit. It's all downhill from there. The food is worse than high school cafeteria food. You get a lot of it if you want but none of it is good. Good is unappetizing and cold. Sushi was rubbery and the rice had dried out from sitting out so long. Desert bar which should have been the easiest to get right had absolutely nothing worth eating. We were really looking forward to a new buffet near us but this one did not hit the mark. Lunch is until 3:30 but when we arrived at 2:30 we were greeted with a cold face from the Asian man at the front register. The hot food is a hot mess. Everything was dry, old, and a very limited selection. They were not bringing out any new food. What you see is what you get. We frequent a lot of buffets and usually they continuously bring in fresh food. But here, all you have left is little portions of dry hot food. Kids wanted pizza, but again, it was limited and unappetizing as the employee plays away on his phone. Their only redemption was their sushi but at a little past 3, a lot of it was turned into dinner items we can no longer enjoy. As it gets closer to 3:30, they start bringing out a little bit of hot food, yay!!! but no, again, it's "dinner" only. So, lesson learned. Do not go there too late and even if you do go earlier, I don't know if their hot food is even tasty because what we did taste was pretty sad. We have 3 kids under 4 and @ $11/child for a few bites of stale pizza and a little ice cream is a little much. Service is ok.
