They had a lot of different items from lunch like the sashimi and seafood that really upgraded the experience. I really like the Chinese food selection being a bit more authentic than a normal buffet. There's some unique dishes here that you can't find at other Chinese buffets. Service is good, they're refilling drinks and providing anything asked fairly quickly. It does get a bit messy but with the amount of people, it's expected. Quick, clean & polite! Free refills of tea, water and soda but juice was charged per order which I couldn't understand. Waiter refilled my daughter's apple juice from a huge container of apple juice. Aside from that, all the food was fresh and delicious. From sushi & sashimi to fried calamari & shrimp chips to chocolate fondue fountain & green tea ice cream, it would be a dream come true to eat there everyday! lol it would be my own personal foodie dream come true! It was my 1st time there but it won't be my last! I went for dinner but next time, I want to go there for lunch. *3.5 stars* Wasn't sure what to expect here but once I walked in, it felt like a typical Chinese buffet. What surprised me for a Monday lunch was how packed it was! Wow. I was shocked. They had a pretty good assortment of Chinese food and sushi. Sushi was fine and although they were on the smaller side, the fish to rice ratio was actually great. They even had some specialty rolls. The selection isn't as good a Mizumi but it got the job done. Dumplings were good and I enjoyed the egg drop soup. Most of the Chinese food that I tried was pretty good but nothing fantastic. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and I had a good meal. Lunch was $20.99 and a soda was like $2.50-$3.00 (I don't remember). It was quick and easy. Went to DJ's to get takeout lunch! There is a separate menu and takeout containers by the cashier area if you wanted the food to go. The pricing of items is a little bit confusing, as the items are priced differently based on categories (seafood, beef, etc.) Because of this, I put items that had the same $/lb. in the same boxes. Not sure if there's a better way to optimize for the pricing, but I wish it was more formatted as a 2 or 3 dish pricing (e.g., 2 dishes with rice for $10, 3 dishes with rice for $13) or something simpler! Food was delicious as always! From my pictures, my lunch total was $11.50. If you spend $13 or more for takeout, you get a free drink or soup. read more

The ambiance is going out of business, the staff unfriendly and don't listen. The food has gone down hill fast and some items are undercooked like the chicken. Be wary of going, the food isn't the same as when it opened years ago, not sure if it is new management but the place is a sauna and the food is subpar at best. If there is 0 star I would definitely do it! Very disappointing experience. We ordered apple juice and were given a small "kids" cup but charged the same price as an adult drink. No one mentioned that refills were not included. When I asked about the pricing, both the staff and manager insisted the small cup was the same size as the adult cup, which is clearly not true (see photo). I even poured about half of the drink from the adult cup into the kids' cup in front of them, and it didn't even fill it. The issue is not the price itself, but the lack of transparency and the dismissive attitude. This felt misleading and unprofessional. I would not return. read more

Amazing place. I brought my friend with me this time. Last time I went alone and it was a Sunday night. I paid roughly under $50 after tips and tax for myself. To be honest, with the quality of food they offered, it was totally worth it. But I went this time during lunch time on a weekday. For the 2 of us, it came to the same price, roughly $50. So it was basically $25 for the each of us. It was an amazing meal with all the same sushi and cooked food. They didn't have the sashimi but to be honest I thought I had everything I wanted there at lunch. There's soft serve ice creams and all sorts of seafood. This place has been around since forever but I'm just discovering it now. From the outdated exterior and interior, I definitely didn't expect too much but I have to say I was very surprised. They squeezed so much into all their limited space and it's shocking how much variety they have. They have rows and rows of endless seafood and meat options. They are absolutely packed on the weekends and the staff was very quick with replenishing the trays. The food is delicious and the sushi was very fresh. I was surprised to see they even have abalone and uni. Their crepe station was a highlight for me as well. The place was packed, we waited about 15 minutes for a party of 15 and they put us in the small party room where it was stuffy. I love this buffet and I have been dining here for years. I like to update my review when I can so it's up to date. Let me begin by saying that everyone that works here is so kind, professional and does go above and beyond for you. The waitresses and waiters are so attentive and this is hands down five stars. It's a community. In the past year, I noticed they did some renovations such as painting and they have a sign that says if you don't waste the food, they can put the money towards bettering their menu for customers. I think this is a really nice sign to put up as food waste is never ok. Just take less food when you go up and keep going back. Try it first and don't load your plate to the point you can't see it. With that said, I'm noticing the food quality has declined the past several visits. My loved one also made a comment last night at dinner that the chicken tastes different. She feels like it didn't taste "real". If that makes any sense. I have also noticed that my stomach is not in the best shape the day after I come here the past couple of visits. The food is good and not spoiled, just not the quality I always remembered. The food also tastes saltier - especially the seafood. The one downside with this buffet is the restroom. I feel so horribly putting this because the buffet is very clean. The restrooms whenever I go in, I am in complete disgust. The floors are always wet, toilet seats dirty.....so many people go in and out and I really wish they would have someone that's dedicated to the women's restroom. Every time I come to the buffet, I cringe to go in and yesterday, I waited to drive home to go. Even to go in and wash my hands because it smells and people are in the restroom either going to the bathroom (like going). On other occasions, vomiting maybe because they ate too much. I really wanted to like this place, but after giving it two tries, I had to write something. As you walk in, this buffet reminds you of the year 2001. It feels like someone built this thing that year, and absolutely nothing has changed except the price kept going up. That's the entire ambiance in a nutshell. At this current price point, you really are not getting the value that you might think, on initial inspection, that you are getting. This entire restaurant smells of cleaning agent that smells like someone has been trying to mask some kind of odor. . Service is nearly non-existent, but they just charge you a fee for tip within your check anyway, because apparently, tips are no longer discretionary, but the same percentage is required for every patron. There's apparently a person guarding the desserts, yelling at children for no apparent reason. Some might actually deserve to be chastised, but most do not. I had to say something when a person accused my kid of taking excessive marshmallows in a case of apparent mistaken identity. What the actual *expletive deleted* ? Yes, it was a bit more expensive for the holiday, but the special spread was absolutely worth it. This isn't your typical Chinese buffet, the "International" name is earned. They have wide variet, from premium staples to unique finds. My standouts were the flavorful kalbi short ribs, the steamed flounder, the extensive sushi selection, the "stone something" crab, and the seafood Cajun boil. They even had five soups, including a Chinese herbal kind! For picky eaters or adventurers, there's truly something for everyone. The selection is mind-blowing. You can go for luxury items like crab legs, lamb skewers, oysters, clams, and snails, or stick with classics. I love that they offer both raw and cooked seafood. I skip the filler noodles and go straight for the good stuff. This is the place to try new things like escargot! I have to mention the dessert station, too. They had a chocolate fountain, a good spread of cakes and pastries, and a self-serve ice cream machine with vanilla and green tea flavors. I even saw them making fresh crepes! I was too full to try any myself, but my family said the desserts were great. Despite being PACKED on a holiday, seating was plentiful. The service was impressively attentive; staff cleared plates promptly and even refilled our sodas (which, FYI, are not included in the buffet price). Now honestly, this is a pretty good freaking buffet. Now I do wish I came here a bit more hungry but I did get to try a bunch of different things. The service is pretty good, they clean plates very quickly and are good at refilling the drinks. The ambience is that of any other buffet. I had their ribs which were the star of the show. Their ribs were freaking amazing. Their sushi? Was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Grilled lamb, and steak skewer were outstanding. The sole chicken wing I had was delicious. Some of the seafood options were a bit salty and a bit chewy. They have a variety of options. I wish I got to try more. They even have a station to grill you steak fresh. I want to come back here, this time I'm gonna make sure I don't eat for at least 2 days. I'm posting a bunch of pics of things I ate. It has been over 10 years at least since I stepped foot at this buffet place. I have had fond memories as I recall this place used to serve a good variety of authentic Chinese style cooked vegetables and other things like Peking duck with bun. So walking in this past weekend, I see that they are expanding by opening up a west wing of the restaurant to accommodate more people. So we were a party of 7 people and got seated right away. I will say the sushi section was very impressive with not only diverse sushi rolls, but also a few sashimi selections and many rolls on sight. Additionally, they have sashimi salad, seaweed salad, and kani salad. The only complaint I have with the Japanese section is to please offer wasabi in paste form. I didn't like how it only came in squeeze through bottle as it was quite liquidity. There were many other dishes that I never had from there but reminisced when I was young, such as pigs feet and curry squid balls. They are acquired taste but this definitely showed their range in offering authentic Chinese dishes. If you are a fan of soups, they have at least 5 different types ranging from wonton, lobster bisque, seafood soup, hot n sour soup, etc. I will have to admit that there weren't a ton of Chinese vegetables offered that day. Yes, you got your string beans, chicken broccoli, etc...but I had high hope to have Chinese style vegetables. They do fill the dishes up quickly and very prompt in clearing up empty plates. I feel like most buffets disappeared with Covid, so when this is what my husband wanted for his birthday, we drove an hour to get here! Bonus- you get to eat 1/2 off on your birthday if you pay cash and if you show your ID! The buffet is HUGE and has a ton of options. They have 4 soups, crepes, sushi, meats, carving station, Chinese food, so much seafood, salad bar, whole section of fried foods, and 2 dessert sections with an ice cream machine, chocolate fountain and freezer with ice cream cups and bars. The food was great and place was PACKED. Downside of it being packed was legitimately wading through people to get food. Honestly I didn't expect this to be very good, but was pleasantly surprised. Usually buffets in general are cheap, bad dishes just meant to overwhelm you with volume versus great taste or quality. This is the exception. The sushi is awesome. As good as any Japanese sushi restaurant for sure. Extremely fresh. I was watching the chef cut the sashimi right in front of me. Ambiance is good, similar to what I've seen in traditional Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. Also, there are so so many Asian families here. I'm guessing this is very traditional, ambiance and food. It's hard for me to eat there because they don't mark what the food is, let alone whether it's GF or not. I've been to a lot of buffets in my life, and I've never seen one where they didn't mark the name of each dish (especially when it's this large). They have many people working there, but they're rushing around, and I doubt their English is so great that I could ask them to take me through and tell me what's what, or what's safe. It reminded me of when we used to live in Hawaii, where I had similar problems getting answers about the food (not even buffets). Anyway, the first time we went, I just took stupid chances, eating a lot of things I shouldn't, and I got sick later. It was delicious. It's a huge buffet with tons of food. However, they don't have many salad items. I always like to go to buffets and fill up on healthy foods, like salads, so I don't over-eat a bunch of unhealthy stuff. I can't do that here. They didn't have rice noodles, either, which are usually safe for me to eat. Their dessert looked yummy, but I couldn't eat most of them, aside from fruit. We found out the second time, the hard way, that they charge you a lot more on a weekend or holiday. We couldn't believe how expensive it was. The service was fine, but they weren't great about bringing us drink refills. We would definitely go back regularly if they brought the prices down a little and actually marked what each dish is and what's safe to eat. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is that I know most people don't care about what the food is, what's in it or whether it's healthy. Long Island Buffet's have come and gone.. thrived and withered... had fresh food and well... not ... but DJs has steadily maintained and improved as the years roll on.... the crowds come here... of all ethnic origins also I might ad... lots of Chinese speaking people... and everyone else.... Its really a nice place to go and have fun for lunch or dinner.... if you want to try a million different things.. as I usually do. Hahaha. Love love love their greens, Bok choy especially...mushrooms and for their flavor. Love all the fried mini egg rolls and other appetizers... the grilled food like corn and ribs, chicken on a stick... all so flavorful.... crab is back... for years.. I would see and pay for the inclusion of crab... not that I cared.. if there or not... but some crazies used to race over and empty the seafood out... usually empty... shocked the last two visits to see it there.... the weirdos must have moved away... or.... lol who knows.. hahaha Ok so mussels.... clams... sauteed and flavorful... all kinds of fun stuff.. coconut shrimpy stuff... whatever that is... colorful sushi rolls, seaweed salad next to it... yum, yum and way to good. My daughter and I went there and really enjoyed it. Today they offered a wide array of options. There were 4 types of crab that I had, and I believe there were more dishes. There was a spicy king crab, snow and dungeness, and a blue crab. They all tasted fresh and were meaty. I actually really like the blue crab most, which is not generally the case. They also had a wide array of other seafood options including shrimp, mussels, scallops, and a lot of sushi and sashimi options. I'm not much of a dessert person but they had cheesecake that I really enjoyed as well. They also served a decent amount of meat. The skewers, pork, and beef were all flavorful and cooked perfectly. Service was generally good and we were seated at the far corner of the restaurant, which was good since I had my young daughter. Even there, they didn't forget about us and filled up our drinks. For the two of us it was about 60 dollars plus the drinks. We were very pleased and would recommend it. read more

There is ample parking for DJ's buffet. When you walk in, it feels dingy, but then you'll see the different options for food and you'll be blown away. All of the food is pretty good and they have a lot of options to choose from. Their sushi bar is pretty decent and fresh but everything ends up tasting like avocado and kani after a while. There mango salad is delicious and gets refilled quickly. There's a scallop and vermicelli noodle dish that was really good. They also have a fried food bar with sauces. The ice cream machine serves green tea and vanilla ice cream and they have a chocolate fountain. Staff are quick to remove plates and are always busy but they're very nice. Came here for lunch buffet with my family. They're located on a very busy street but it's great that they have a large parking lot. Decor inside is quite drab but I didn't really expect much better since they cost under $20 a person. Great thing is my kid got to eat free and they also have a senior discount. Tables and chairs are the same ones you'll see at a Chinese take out restaurant but again this is expected. Wait staff is very friendly and actually quite attentive for a buffet which is really surprising. There's a decent variety of food and generally everything tasted decent. I mainly ate the pig ears which were delicious. I didn't try any of the sushi though since it looked pretty much like a rice roll with a little tiny sliver of fish.
