Ocean Coral & Turquesa is a beautiful, mid-size hotel with a lot of amenities and a lot of food selections from around the world that they cater to. I am a Privilege member so I had the Butler service. Our butler, Andrea aka Andy, was EVERYTHING and more. She was soooooooo accommodating booking our dinner highly and she was so kind. Like super duper kind. She knew how to handle everything. Our room had 2 bedrooms, very modern and spacious. Cute bathroom design. Very clean. Robes and slippers were available. But our jacuzzi, on the bathroom, the jacuzzi bubble did not work, the whole time. They tried to fix it but it did not work. The whole staff is pretty nice for the most part. The 90 minutes massage and facial I received was AMAZING! Then was able to stay an hour after for their spa, hydro room which was nice with a pool, sauna, jacuzzi - just a zen time. The Hibachi restaurant, Sensai, was my fav. The chefs put on a good show and the food is good. The Mexican restaurant, Hacienda, was good. The nachos were a little dated but the spice level in my fish was really Good. The Tortilla soup was okay. Blue moon restaurant was okay. Villa Marina took entirely too long to receive our food and the server left for the day without delivering. Casa Del Mar is the main dining room and it has great options. Ocean Burger is by the pool and good for a quick bite. Mike's Coffee is a cute study hall coffee shop. Ice cream shop has about 5 different flavors and 4 different toppings. It was a good time.

Last minute Cancun trip booked , the people wanted budget but all inclusive. On arrival open air reception area with plenty of seating and an hydration station as well as bar . Check in was a brezze no issues , wrist band placed on arm , and states if lost $100 usd . Once checked in your given to a time share representative that will give you the run down of the property and presentation for a time share . Once you break free from the unnecessary timeshare , you give the bell hop your ticket and he escorts to your room . At the time of check in they are currently renovating removing old mattresses, which are in the halls. On arrival to room it was bright and roomy. The restroom was slightly renovated, but it was clean . The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The hamburger hut by the pool was alright , also no take away , you have to sit in restaurant. The Breakfast buffet was nice with a variety of things and even had a kid size buffet station. The dinner buffet was alright plenty of salads breads and very few meat opitions. Didn't partake in any restaurants , because most of our days were long and you couldn't make reservations until the day of . The resort was about a 25 minutes ride to/from airport. Cancun was about 20 minutes without traffic. Overall stay was fine no major issues , will recommend.

Beautiful clean hotel with pristine pools and an excellent staff. The privilege service is awesome and my Butler Charly/Carlos is amazing. He made all my dinner reservations and checked several times a day to see if I needed anything. The specialty restaurants have delicious food and if you're privileged the top shelf cocktails are wonderful. Be sure to say hello to sexy Frankie at the hotel lobby bar. He makes the best cocktails.

We were there during hurricane beryl. The building is solid- you could barely even hear the wind! We got upgraded to El Beso adults only side for free at check in. The pool there was serene. 8 am to 8 pm. People were drinking responsibly. Decent crowd. They have an airport shuttle included and they were very punctual. Downsides- not really walkable to any restaurants or downtown etc. The food is very average and bland. Overall though, good value for money.

Location: it's about 20-25 minutes from the airport (south), you will need to book a shuttle to go to the hotel and you will be just stay in the resort or take taxi/uber to downtown since there's no other stores within walking distance. Food / beverage selection: for this all inclusive resort prices range, Ocean coral & Turquesa has great food selections, it has 8/9 restaurants for different types of food, some of them even serve overnight. I don't really drink, however, they do have bars all over the resort, you can drink anywhere you want! Facilities: the resort is huge with 20+ buildings, a lot of pools. The resort is a little old and needs some maintenance, for example the lobby ceiling is leaking during my visit, however, my room was nice and huge. Beach: the beach right next to the resort full of seaweeds and it's totally not swim able but people from the resort said that just seasonal (my visit is 6/2024). Besides the beach, there're many pools for swimming. Service: friendly staffs here, however, 30-40% of them don't speak English. WiFi: the resort is huge and I have no issues to use the WiFi anywhere even the beach. Swimming pools: pool hours is 8am to 8pm, close kinda early.

10/10 this place was immaculate. The maids kept the rooms and breezeways clean. Our fridge was always fully restocked at the end of each day. Our servers and butlers were absolutely top-tier. We enjoyed every moment with them shout out to Brandon our Butler! Our bartenders Gustavo, Alejandro, Alejandro, and Eduardo at the entertainment pool kept our glasses full with a smile. Our entertainers at the privileged and entertainment, pool were also amazing, fernanda, rocelyn, elizabeth, yael, jonathan, fabian, justin and grabriel. They made the trip more than i could have wished for with pool aerobics, dancing, volleyball, bingo and so much more! there energy was always the absolute best!! our servers in the privilege dining were always a delight to see specially Eduardo, Enrique, and Angel! This was my first all inclusive trip and they made it so spectacular!! this resort will definitely be seeing me again! very soon!!! loved it! wow!

Thanks to fitness instructor Roman for a pleasant time in the water! We enjoyed all of his classes!

We just returned from an 8-day, 7-night stay in an Excellence Club Ocean View Swim-Up suite, and I…read morecan confidently say we will never book another room type again. The Excellence Club experience is absolutely worth it and made our vacation feel even more special. What keeps us coming back to Excellence Riviera Cancun isn't just the beautiful resort, comfortable rooms, or incredible food, it's the people. The staff genuinely treats you like family and makes you feel cared for from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We made it to every restaurant during our stay, and the dining exceeded our expectations. Magna's tomahawk steak was phenomenal, but Basmati completely stole our hearts. It was hands down our favorite restaurant, and the food was a 15/10. We were talking about going back before we had even finished our meal. The service is what truly sets this resort apart. Amable went above and beyond every single day. She quickly learned who we were, remembered what we liked, and always took the time to chat with us and make us feel special. By the end of the trip, she felt like family. Saying goodbye was incredibly emotional. She gave me the biggest hug before we left and told us she couldn't wait to see us again in January. She truly made our vacation unforgettable. Joel was another standout. We bonded over our love of reading, but what impressed us most was the care he put into making each day special. Every morning, our daybed was perfectly prepared before we even arrived, with towels laid out and everything ready for us to relax. He remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary, and he and Raul surprised us with the sweetest towel art in our room to celebrate. After noticing how much I loved fresh coconuts, Joel started bringing one to me every afternoon without me even asking. It's those thoughtful little touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable one. Excellence Riviera Cancun continues to set the standard for what an all-inclusive resort should be. Between the exceptional staff, delicious food, beautiful accommodations, and the added benefits of Excellence Club, it's become our favorite place to vacation. The biggest compliment we can give is that we were already planning our next trip before this one ended. We'll be back in January, and I'm sure many more times after that. Thank you to everyone at ERC for another unforgettable stay. We already can't wait to come home.

All of the restaurants are great, my favorites were Basmati and Spice. The only room for improvement: I wish there were healthier options available by the pools do lunch. The taco truck is great but doesn't open until 4pm.. a little late for lunch. I don't want fries/hotdog/burger/nachos for lunch. The Linux buffet was great, but it would've been nice to have a salad or tacos by the pool. Loved the shows and trivia every night! Can't wait to go back.

OVERALL SUMMARY:…read more Awesome trip; great property, excellent food, friendly staff (especially Felipè, our pool server) * * * * * GENERAL SUMMARY: We book our trip and opted for the "Preferred" status with all the "extra perks" but honestly still feel that the perks were mostly hype. Having a newspaper and access to play with their computer is a waste; access to a "preferred" Club Lounge with continental breakfast and hors d'oeuvres are not as good as just walking over to any of the other restaurants, bars or coffee shop; and the worst perk to have "personalized" check-in was actually slower than regular check in because you have to wait for someone to get you at the resort entrance and then walk across the whole property the Club Lounge for check in. But I would do it again because the room location and views were worth it. I was a little annoyed by the "extras" we expected (since they were offered as promotional gifts and offers during the sales call to book the trip) since most were misleading, like the 200 dollar vouchers for use on the property turned out to be coupons. We also had a call that we had a "welcome gift" for us in the Club Lounge; that bullshit turned out to be an offer to access another property but you'd have to sit through a sales pitch. Our room's balcony overlooked the pool area that was at the pool's signature tunnel (large pool passes through one of the buildings to the infinity edge overlooking the ocean). Cabanas with lounge chairs and hammocks surrounded by colorful landscaping makes the surroundings quite relaxing. In addition to our room and view, the many restaurants, bars and entertainment were excellent. * * * * * SPECIFIC PROS AND CONS: PRO: Love the "Secret" pass thru box for room service deliveries CON: Afternoon housekeeper rarely showed up PRO: Drinks were on par for what you would expect from an all-inclusive CON: Our TV was limited to 3-5 stations that had english PRO: But Playboy was one of those channels CON: The Club Lounge wasn't a very welcoming environment to laugh or be somewhat noisy at the bar since the staff also worked in this small space PRO: Preferred hotel rooms include great views and comfort CON: Preferred check-in is not convenient or fast PRO: Loved all the restaurant and pool servers (especially Felipè) CON: Saw landscape/maintenance workers spit in the grass often (where the guests often walk barefoot) PRO: Air conditioner rattled but fixed immediately upon request CON: We passed on our "FREE" 1-day spa pass because we felt we'd be pressured with another sales pitch for upgraded services PRO: Plenty of areas for party scene and plenty of areas for quiet time CON: The newspaper was never delivered PRO: The international variety of restaurants was enticing CON: Cost for massages or a private dinner was a joke PRO: Frozen coffee at the coffee shop was excellent when we've had enough liquor (but then I had the bar spike my coffee anyway) CON: Told and verified they had bocce ball courts, but they did not PRO: Our room was great with jacuzzi tub and great bed CON: Welcome bottle of champagne was in 2 inches of ice so our wonderful thought of champagne was warm and unappealing PRO: Entire property is Smoke Free (even have a sign at the main entrance before stepping in) CON: Have an Ash Tray for smoking right under the No Smoking sign PRO: We had a stand with incense which we appreciated on the first night going to sleep CON: After the first night, they removed all the matches so no more incense PRO: The evening special shows were awesome CON: Paella was advertised for 1:30 PM one day but it was all served at 12:30 PM (sucked since I was quite excited to try it) PRO: Pool games and other day time events were fun to meet people when tired of just relaxing CON: Our room TV was tilted and maintenance couldn't fix it PRO: Had the best time taking Sushi Rolling classes CON: All offers and vouchers required us to spend more than you'd expect and the things to buy were already over-priced * * * * * * FINAL SUMMARY: Even though it sounds like the many CONS outweighed the PROS, at the end of the day, WE LOVED our time relaxing in our room or poolside, drinking frozen cocktails and taking tequila shots that were brought to us all day long, eating in all the restaurants, watching the evening shows and playing drunken bingo, taking walks throughout the manicured paths... Most importantly, I would do it again.

This is our second all-inclusive vacation this year, and was definitely a five-star experience…read moreoverall. We stayed 8 days/7 nights and had a blast! Secrets Silversands is an adults-only resort located in Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun and in a newer development (resort is 6 yrs old). I previously gave 5-stars to Omni Cancun back in April but Silver Sands is actually better in terms of food quality, night time entertainment, room size, pools, and powerful and free wifi throughout the property! Below is a more detailed write-up of what we experienced: WORLD CAFE: Their main breakfast and lunch buffet. Huge selection and the food is surprisingly good here, especially braised and stir-fried meats. They also have a smoothie and omelet station. 5 stars. BAREFOOT GRILL: Overcooked burgers made to order but their fried chicken wings were phenomenal. Little drums covered in seasoned, powdery bread crumbs and fried to perfection. The meat was so soft I couldn't believe it. 4 stars SEASIDE GRILL: Another poolside casual place specializing in grilled fish, shrimp cocktail, and ceviche. Pretty decent and a good option for late lunch. You're surrounded by revelers playing pool volleyball in a Spring-break type atmosphere. 4 stars. HIMITSU HIBACHI: You need reservations for this Benihana-style experience. The chef showed some nice knife juggling skills and created some nice special effects with a smoking stack of onions sliding down the grill (choo choo train) along with some pyrotechnics. They use butter, garlic oil, and tequila to cook Asian cuisine which came out pretty good! Fried rice, sauteed chicken/beef/veggies were incredible. They even had a nice soy sauce laced with green chili peppers to add some kick! 5 stars HIMITSU: They have pretty decent nigiri options - rice was firmer than I liked but seasoned well. Toppings were tender and tasted fresh. Their hot dishes were underwhelming compared to the hibachi though - stir fried beef was over-sauced and too sweet, fried tofu appetizer under seasoned, and fried rice had a glutinous texture. I'm wondering if they used sushi rice. 3 stars. PORTOFINO: Their Italian dining place was surprisingly our least favorite. They had decent seafood appetizers though - the seafood frittata was a huge plate of fried mussels, fish, shrimp, etc. that was good, along with their grilled octopus carpaccio. Their entrees were rather ordinary - pasta with some red sauce or basic grilled salmon. 3 stars. SEASIDE GRILL: Outdoor restaurant converted to steakhouse. Octopus salad and hearts of palm salad were decent - both had tenderness and good acidity. Wife's veal scallops cooked medium were incredibly juicy while my NY steak cooked medium rare came out well, medium. It had a nice green pepper sauce but more chew than I liked. Desserts were great - a margarita mousse for her and a moist rich chocolate cake for me. 4 stars. BORDEAUX: Their French restaurant - beautiful, intimate settings with great food. They had a nice foie gras and mussels Rockefeller appetizer and my wife's pork tenderloin was tender and juicy. I was disappointed by the Italian place previously so I got their mushroom-asparagus fusilli pasta - YUM! 5 stars RATATOUILLE: At night the Buffet turns into a Mediterranean themed restaurant - which means more seafood! Seafood cippino, crown of shrimp entree, and the scallops appetizer salad were all light and refreshing. I went for the braised beef rib which was really good. 5 stars. EL PATIO: We had some nice carnitas tacos and this amazing lime soup for apps. For entree wife got fish steamed in banana leaves while I got the grilled salmon. We don't see seafood frequently on Mexican menus but we were glad to try - both dishes were perfect. Extra point for the chocolate soufflé dessert! 5 stars. NIGHT SHOWS: On most nights there were some pretty awesome shows. The most memorable ones were Glow Show (extreme juggling and dancing with props that light up with many colors), Urban Show (extreme breakdancing and music - good choreography similar to Michael Jackson One in LV), and the Rock Show - which is even more extreme juggling and Cirque du Soleil type stunts to the background of 80's rock from Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Starship, etc. 5-stars - easily better than anything we've seen on cruise ships and rivaling some of the Las Vegas quality shows. SERVICE: Excellent - everyone super friendly and greets you with a smile. They will find you and get you drinks - frequently. DAY ACTIVITIES: They have Zumba lessons, but I opted for Blackjack and Hold Em. One day they had a Paella cooking demo with plenty of paella and sangria to feed the resort - some of the best paella I've had! POOLS: They must have like 8 pools of different sizes and a couple of Jacuzzis. They were all clean and well-maintained. Will definitely recommend this resort! Only downsides are: watch out for mosquitoes and weak cocktails - so order lots of them!

I've stayed in more luxurious places, including Danielles in Venice. I think I know the CDM secret. It was the lack of people that you see. Nothing and no-one annoyed me here. Even in luxurious places, there is likely someone who will be annoying, or rude or abrupt or loud, or arrogant or whatever. In fact, some of the "exclusive" places have some very arrogant and superior people, and that detracts from the experience. But I don't need to tell you how annoying people can be, do I? Not that people can't be very nice also, but the more people around, the more chance someone will detract from your experience. But when you don't even come across other people (except the ones you bring with), there's no-one to possibly bother you. You go to the beautiful pool, and there's no-one there. Not even anyone doing the "reserve our lounge chairs with towels at the crack of dawn game", when they don't use them till noon. None of that stupid stuff, and no screaming kids doing cannonballs in the pool (not that I don't like kids). The beautiful pool might as well be in your own back yard. You don't hear the adjacent room through the thick walls, and you don't even see other room balconies. The grounds are designed so every balcony is private. No-ones front door is next to yours, or even nearby. You look out over the grounds and virtually no-one is walking around. You go to the pier and it's empty of people. You go to the beach and no-one is there also. You pick your favorite lounge chair location and it's open just waiting for you. The staff here were all nice and subdued and not intrusive, but were friendly if you chatted a bit to them. When they bring your breakfast trays in the morning to your room, they place it in a hutch by the front door and you don't even see them! Look at the pictures I posted. The professional ones are from the CDM website and mine are the others. You'll notice there's no-one in the pictures. Other resorts have to rope off the area to get deserted pictures like those, and when you get there it is overrun by strangers. Not at CDM. When you think of that, you should try to stay here if you ever can, even for a few days. It's actually great value for the money. What an awesome experience. They do destination weddings here, and that probably feels like you rented the whole resort, cause I'm sure the other guests would stay out of your way. I can't think of another place like CDM.

When we first arrived, we booked a swim-out room, which was nice, but the rooms and parts of the resort definitely felt like they could use some updating. My biggest issue was the AC in our original room--it was barely working, and the first night was honestly uncomfortable. The humidity made it feel stuffy, and I had a hard time sleeping. Because of that, we decided to upgrade to the club/villa section on the opposite side of the resort--and that completely changed our experience. That area is much more secluded, quieter, and feels more upscale. We upgraded to a swim-out king room there, and it was beautiful--much newer, cleaner, and overall way more enjoyable. The private rooftop pool and more exclusive vibe made a huge difference for us. The food was actually really good, which was a pleasant surprise--no complaints there at all. Overall, I'd say this resort really depends on the room you book. If we had stayed in the original room, I probably would've rated it around a 3.5-4. But because we upgraded, we ended up having a great time. The good - I wanted to put the food in my positive comments but couldn't. Out of the 6 nights we had dinner, 1 was not good at all, 1 was just ok, but the other 4 were all great. The one that was not good at all, I couldn't even tell you what place it was serving from. It was in the Mexican restaurant but they were going off a different menu that day. The breakfast buffet each morning was always spot on, especially the omelette station. Got one of those every morning and they were delicious! Even with my 2 bad good spots, the service still was always spot on! The bad - hot hot hot!!!! the AC was the worst I've ever had and this was throughout the entire resort. Even the room AC was terrible and even at night it never got cold where I would expect this to be the coldest place in the resort. This also goes for the party of 20 that we were there with and that was 10 total rooms were all terrible AC so it wasn't just mine. All the restaurants with being enclosed it was awful. Constant sweating wherever you went. I felt terrible for the staff as they have to deal with the for a living and I was only there for 1 week. Every single employee/waiter/host, you name it was dripping sweat with every move they make. Dripping!! Again this is with the enclosed spaces where the AC should be pumping, but no it was not and I don't understand that. Fix it!!!! I will not come back to this resort just for that reason along. Very sad but that on the resort owners and management to fix such a simple issue. Also another bad was the beach. There was simply not one person out there on what should be such a beautiful beach with alllllllll the seaweed that takes over. Yes it's tough and I'm sure cost a lot of money for them to continuously be cleaning it up since it'll never stop, but isn't that what you're supposed to do when you own a resort to keep people coming back or at least for the first time?? Especially after you read my review along with others that mention this same issue. Plus all the seaweed with the sun beating down on it sent a stench of rotten eggs throughout the whole property. Some days were worse than others Overall, the resort grounds itself were nice. One of the smaller resorts I've been to, which isn't a bad thing, but they also did have one of the best pools I've ever been to. It was enormous and even with tons of people in it, it never felt crowded. Good temperature too. Again, the staff was unbelievable, but they need to get that AC fixed immediately and do it for the hard-working staff. Obviously for us the vacationers too, but like I said, we're there for only a specific time and these guys work there (hard) day in and day out. Fix it fix it fix it! Fix it for the staff please!!! As I write this review in my amazing cold AC....

We all agreed it was a small resort and there was a wait for dinner every night. You have to wake up early if you want to get chairs. I also thought there would be more activities. I think I might but get bored if I stayed more than 3 nights. Overall it's a nice option for cheap, quick trip!

My Rolex was stolen from Room 7104 after housekeeping entered my room. I took it off before going to the pool around 11:00 AM, placed it inside my zipped jewelry bag, and returned around 2:30 PM to find it missing. My room had been cleaned during that exact time frame. I reported it immediately, and instead of acting with urgency or concern, management gave excuses, offered zero solutions, and treated me like the problem. They hid behind "protocol" and implied that because it was not in the safe, somehow theft from my room is acceptable. Manager George was especially disgraceful--he offered no help, no accountability, then walked away and refused to speak with me while I was dealing with a serious theft. This resort clearly cares more about protecting staff and avoiding responsibility than protecting paying guests. If something valuable is stolen from your room, don't expect honesty, urgency, or competent management. A luxury resort with bargain-basement security and even worse leadership. Stay elsewhere.

I would not recommend Butler's service... if you ever had butler service in the Caribbeans there is no comparison. In Mexico they do not do NOTHING for you but text all day , maybe visit you in the pool areas but that's it. Not worth it at ALL. Our Butlers were Norma, Catherine & Enrique ( who we never met) Catherine visited us twice by the pool and Norma was the main texter sweet but none didn't do very much . Some of our favorite ppl was Efrain the bartender love his sense of humor, the Bell Boy Toribio I believe was his name was very helpful, other than that everyone else was nice but nothing really stood out. We stayed in the new building Marriott Diamond Club 4th floor ... gorgeous room but no body mirror, no iron or iron board, nothing to hang your towels on in the bathroom, the shower floor is VERY slippery it really needs a rail to hold on to. Room service took 1 hr the food was cold. Ate at the Joya 2 days and some of that food was cold too. There is an Asian restaurant in the new Diamond building that no one talks about that is delicious. There is also a bar and pool table in that building as well.

We enjoyed the fact that it was so laid back, but with that being said we had wished that the bars around the pool stayed open past 5 pm and that they opened before 10 am. We love some mimosas and bloody Mary's in the morning, but unless you go to the restaurants for breakfast you are out of luck. The food was good, and the only complaints was that the pizza place is over where the kids play that is pretty far away from where we were and there were no pool side burger or taco places. They occasionally had a pop up that you could get food but it was specifically between 1-3. Don't get me wrong the pizza was great we just were not going to walk that far to wait an hour to get our pizza. Drinks were great and entertainment was good as well. We were there with the friends that were members, but after seeing the difficulties they were having we definitely will not be joining.

Jennie the manager of booking is not issuing a refund as its "still safe to travel", we have a 3 month old whos coming as well. Ive never seen a hotel be so Greedy and give no refund or offer a change of date with such a sever event. Just a heads up the staff and particularly management at this place is not just unjust but its cruel making us pay for a 5 day stay WITHOUT even being able to get to the island in general. Id stay somewhere else where they care about their guests.
