I went with my husband his evening and left feeling so light and energized! We were able to make same-day reservations. A gentleman walked in during our massage and my masseuse, Judy, had to tell him they were all busy. All the little details are very much appreciated from the heated beds, to relaxing music, to turning off the advertisement to bring back the music, to the whispering, to the extra thick white towel. It was a quiet, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Judy was very strong and spent a long time on my shoulders because she probably felt they needed the love, and they did! This massage was pretty average. Nothing crazy, but we did have a relaxing time. Would recommend if you just want a massage that's not too painful and want to have a nice relaxing time!! This might be the greatest stumble upon I have done in my 9 years of living in New York City. For the last few months, my entire body has had severe pain, but my work schedule didn't allow for much time for self-care. I finally had a day off yesterday and found Ocean Healing Spa. Not only is this place, immaculate, but also, the environment is extremely calming and welcoming. My hour massage was near perfect, every part of my body (fingers and toes too!) was treated in a wonderful way. I could feel my aches and knots withering away. Updated review: I went back to get a massaage today as a do-over courtesy of the manager who kindly contacted me and it was a very good experience this time. The Spa is extremely clean and they had nice smelling linens as before, and this time I was able to get all the knots addressed and resolved in a very good massage +hot towels at the end, and just the right pressure for all the problem areas. Even got a water on the way out, so I appreciate that the manager reached out and took the time to make sure I had a positive experience and left feeling relaxed and better. I had an amazing 90 min deep tissue massage here. This a no frills massage parlor with curtains separating each space, but I still found the environment relaxing as everyone was quiet and respectful and there was calming music playing. I had a 60 minute massage that was alright. There were times that the masseuse was just rubbing, and didn't spend enough time on the front part of my legs. All in all the massage itself was 3 stars. The reason I gave this place 1 star (and honestly would give zero stars if I could) was for the following two reasons: 1) at times during my appointment, the masseuse was speaking loudly to someone. 2) Each "room" had curtain for a door. About 5-10 minutes before my massage ended, she had me flip over and i saw that THE CURTAIN WAS WIDE OPEN. Who knows how long that curtain was open for? Meaning that I was exposed and I had no idea since I was face down for most of the appointment. I had to ask her to close it. When I went to pay, I told the girl at the front desk and her response was "oh sorry, she must have forgotten." I am still in shock at my curtain being wide open. There were other customers there who must have seen me with no clothes on.... Never will I spend my money here again. A place like this should take people's privacy seriously!!! read more

The spa just opened a month ago so the walls/fixtures are all brand new. I had Mary as my therapist for my prenatal massage and she did a great job with untangling the knots in my shoulders.
