Price kept changing and then a full court hard sell on add ons (warranties, etc.) Nobody could really explain why we needed all these extra warranties, but they did know that we needed them. Parts buyers beware. I brought them a roughly $4,000 OEM parts order and asked whether they could get close to online Honda dealer pricing. The parts manager said he was giving me a discount, but when I audited the quote, the "discounted" net prices matched normal Honda MSRP. For example, 30530-P5M-013 was quoted as List $641.97 / Net $548.03, but $548.03 is the public MSRP. 44600-S84-A00 was quoted as List $370.97 / Net $294.42, but $294.42 is also the public MSRP. The "discount" appeared to be from an inflated dealer matrix price, not from MSRP. I understand the overhead of a brick-and-mortar department and am generally willing to pay a reasonable premium for local availability, expertise, and quality control. However, I handed them a fully researched bill of materials, and the "service" I received in return included a quote for a discontinued part (instead of the available equivalent) and being sold an already-open tube of sealant. I did all the heavy lifting on parts matching and still had to audit the counter for accuracy and compromised gasket maker, so the "premium service" argument completely falls apart here. I would have preferred to buy locally, but the pricing presentation felt misleading and the execution was sloppy. I placed the entire order online instead. read more

Jakob let me know it was and he would have it ready for me when I arrived to test drive and look at. He made the process so casual and easy, I was out and on the road with my new truck in under two hours. We originally got a quote for a 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid from a different Honda dealership and asked them to see if they can beat the price but with a Hybrid Sport-L and Jeff, thought he was Mr. Know It All and automatically assumed that the price we got quoted wasn't the price of the Sport Touring-- he even laughed at us from afar with his colleagues as he went to try and run more numbers. Then he came back to us with, and I quote... "Yeah, we're not interested in making a deal. We're not gonna agree to that number." And as a customer, ready to purchase, that was really off-putting to me. Like, he didn't even try to win our business at all. Within a three week period I had two scary incidents on the freeway where the vehicle would not go past 40 mph. Unfortunately, the dealership was less than helpful not willing to buy the vehicle back from me, but willing to sell me a new vehicle but trading my old one in for less than I paid. So in essence they wanted to sell me two vehicles. I'm now pursuing this is a lemon law issue, and no longer see this as my tried and true Honda dealership. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I'm never going back to Ocean Honda for Service... Recently I was driving to work and noticed my car shaking/vibrating when I would accelerate. It had done it in the past but would go away. Finally it did it again a couple weeks ago, got so bad I thought my car was gonna break down. Finally the check engine light came on. I decided to take it to Bobby's Pit Stop for a diagnostic. They called me and said it was either a blown head gasket or cylinder head failure and to take it to Ocean Honda. The car only had 69,000 miles so a blown head gasket was insane! I took it to Ocean Honda the next day and told them to specifically run a test to see if it is truly a blown head gasket or cylinder head failure. They ran a diagnostic and called me back saying something was wrong with the spark plugs and oxygen sensor. They told me I also needed oil change, new battery, carbon filter, and all the fluids possible. I responded "so there is nothing wrong with the head gasket or cylinder head?" They said no. I asked if they ran a test to see and they said no. I asked if they could run a test to make sure it isn't a blown head gasket and they said I needed to pay an extra $250. I was pissed. My bf decided to talk to the GM and let him know the issue. We were not going to pay $500 for a diagnostic when they should have checked for head gasket in the first place. They said we could check for a blown head gasket and replace it if need be for free if you have warranty. Our warranty was over! I'm unable to pay 8K for repair! I figured Honda should not be charging an extra $250 to run tests that they should have done in the first diagnostic. I was so stressed cause I figured might as well sell my car and get it out of my hands. I sat down with a sales rep and he was gonna offer me 10K Cash for my car. My car is 2019 with only 69,000 miles and my dad paid 40K for it! 10K seemed so cheap. I figured they actually knew it had a blown head gasket but didn't want to admit. I said no to the 10K They then offered me 20K for a trade in or 15K cash final. I called my dad and he said "walk away, we'll figure this out. Don't worry" I decided to get my dad and his friend involved. They know people at the Salinas Honda. They told me to only pay Ocean Honda $250 for the first diagnostic and to not pay for any other repairs. Then get my car towed to Salinas Honda for another diagnostic to really check if it was a blown head gasket. Long story short, Salinas Honda ran tests. They CONFIRMED it was a blown head gasket and at 69,000 miles was insane. The GM of Salinas Honda made a GoodWill Claim with Honda and they have decided to fix my car for free! I will NEVER be going back to Ocean Honda! There was overwhelming evidence that my car had a blown head gasket. I told them that! Yet, they did not even make a note I had told them about the issue when reading the receipt. $250 is already a lot for a basic diagnostic, I'd expect them to check EVERYTHING the first time. Come to find out there is a civil lawsuits against Honda for engine issues. Maybe people at Ocean Honda knew about this and tried to push it aside? Who knows?! I'll be getting my car back from Salinas Honda soon. read more

I had a good experience with the sales Derek Verduzco. No pushing at all. Unfortunately the financial manager Kelvin Le is the worst finance guy i have even met. I bought the vehicle CRV with a maintenance package on 10/19/25 and was told I could cancel at any time and have refund. Just one day after vehicle purchase, I called Kelvin to cancel the package because I thought it's not worth it. He emailed me a cancellation form and I sent it back with my signature. Since then I couldn't reach him any more. After tons of emails and calls (I even cc his boss), eventually he told me the refund would be shown on my 2nd statement. So I waited and waited until 2nd statement, the refund wasn't there yet. No matter how I contacted Kelvin, no response at all. Until today the refund is still nowhere even it has been almost 2 months since the cancellation. read more
