My family has been coming here for years, our family reunion has been going on for 13 or so years now and this is one of those must hit places. Best shaded mini golf around

My family chose this mini golf course due to its location just off the ocean isle beach island. We've done the one on the island a few times and wanted something different, without the drive to Myrtle Beach. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived (around 6:00pm), maybe two other families at that point. By the time we left, there were maybe 6 or 7 families. If you're looking for expensive decorations and lots of pathways this is not the course for you...you need to go to Myrtle Beach for the "lava mountains" or the dinosaurs. This was a simple, 18 hole course with lots of shade and about the size of a small backyard. But don't let the size fool you, they just don't use a lot of pointless pathways to each hole. My family (7 of us) had a good time, and though we tried to rush through in order to not hold up the small family behind us, really enjoyed ourselves. I would absolutely recommend this spot for a quick bit of family time. The shade was a nice escape from the heat, and honestly the price wasn't bad ($6/person).

Cute little mini golf course. Perfect for toddlers. Reasonably priced. We completed the course in just about an hour.

An amazing place. Shaded, guest friendly, relaxing, all the wanted specs that most golf courses don't have

Nice, clean and well kept mini golf right on the island of Ocean Isle Beach. Very friendly staff…read more No real thrills here just a nice mini golf for all ages to enjoy. Clean restrooms. Nice seating areas throughout the course. Beautiful views of the ocean.

NOT good for large groups or families. Doesn't answer phone calls. Hours not posted anywhere…read moreonline, posted hours onsite appeared to only be for the summer time. Prices not posted online (It's $10/person if anyone is wondering). The posted (when you arrive) group size is 5 people. It was late in the evening when we arrived so we asked what time they closed. The lady running the place couldn't tell us a time that they closed and said around 9:30 PM or so. To confirm I asked if they were "closing after everyone finished?" and she seemed to acknowledge that. We are a large family on vacation together so we split into 3 groups. We began playing and were having fun, at hole THREE she came to me and my wife and said, "we appreciate your business, but would you keep playing and not wait for the next group" because she wanted to be able to leave at a good time. We were a little flustered but wanted to be considerate and made sure the next group of our family was not being held up and that we were playing 3 holes at a time. 3 holes later, on HOLE SIX!, she came to our second group who had partially moved forward to the hole and were waiting on their last group member and began telling them not to wait for the next group in the family (WHICH THEY WEREN'T!)! At that point my wife and I had enough and stopped playing and just let our kids (ages 11 and under) play the rest of the course. Most of the fun from mini golf is watching and cheering one another on. Other members of our family also could not enjoy playing the rest of the time. On top of that they let others into the course after us (appeared to be a family of 5 or 6), and they weren't waiting on us to finish and were consistently 2 holes behind our party. Another couple was also let in after us and they appeared to be told to start elsewhere in the course and appeared to hop around from hole to hole in random order. Commonly when playing mini golf in the past we let other faster groups play through if needed but never had the opportunity tonight. Needless to say, I do not recommend going to this place and will NOT return ever again. It may be an "okay" place for a couple on a date or a family with only one or two children. Some business advise for the owners: - Post your hours clearly online and onsite for both peak season and off season. - Hire workers that are kind and courteous and not focused on leaving at an indeterminate time that is unknown to your customers. - If the workers need to leave by a certain time, perhaps don't accept new golfers past a certain time. After being in business for a while it should be clear how long the course takes for a group to complete. - It would be nice to have prices posted clearly as well but I understand from a marketing standpoint not posting them.

Look at these greens. Every hole was like this. Impossible to putt straight.

Our family loves mini golf so we are always looking for new places. We love fun theming and holes…read morewith a little bit of a challenge. While in Myrtle Beach, a search for "Best Mini Golf" brought up Hawaiian Rumble so we knew we had to try it out. The theming was great with Hawaiian music and string lights, tropical foliage, and a volcano in the center. Each hole had a different Hawaiian word to learn, plus bleachers to sit on (makes sense with the Mini Golf PGA being held here) so if you find yourself having to wait, at least you have somewhere to sit. As far as challenge, I honestly would have expected more, but it was at least a level of difficulty higher than most places in MB which seem to be a lot of straight shot holes. Overall, its one of the better places in MB so definitely worth checking out.

The price was average, neither high nor low; upon paying with card the credit reader asked if we…read morewanted to leave a tip. Absurd unless a staff member is going to follow us around and keep score? The course itself was alright but several holes desperately need some upkeep/repairs. The volcano did erupt twice while we were there, but it would be neat if it did so at least every 15 minutes or so. Some of the "rivers" were dried out and nasty looking; some of the greens were just worn out and in need of replacement. Checking for trash would be a good idea, too. If this is truly the "#1 Mini Golf" course and hosts the US Pro-mini Golf Championship, then it must be for the blind because the course grounds in general are looking rough. Single staff member present. Either he is going through a bitter divorce or he hates his job, can't tell.
