NOT good for large groups or families. Doesn't answer phone calls. Hours not posted anywhere online, posted hours onsite appeared to only be for the summer time. Prices not posted online (It's $10/person if anyone is wondering). The posted (when you arrive) group size is 5 people. It was late in the evening when we arrived so we asked what time they closed. The lady running the place couldn't tell us a time that they closed and said around 9:30 PM or so. To confirm I asked if they were "closing after everyone finished?" and she seemed to acknowledge that. We are a large family on vacation together so we split into 3 groups. We began playing and were having fun, at hole THREE she came to me and my wife and said, "we appreciate your business, but would you keep playing and not wait for the next group" because she wanted to be able to leave at a good time. We were a little flustered but wanted to be considerate and made sure the next group of our family was not being held up and that we were playing 3 holes at a time. 3 holes later, on HOLE SIX!, she came to our second group who had partially moved forward to the hole and were waiting on their last group member and began telling them not to wait for the next group in the family (WHICH THEY WEREN'T!)! At that point my wife and I had enough and stopped playing and just let our kids (ages 11 and under) play the rest of the course. Most of the fun from mini golf is watching and cheering one another on. Other members of our family also could not enjoy playing the rest of the time. On top of that they let others into the course after us (appeared to be a family of 5 or 6), and they weren't waiting on us to finish and were consistently 2 holes behind our party. Another couple was also let in after us and they appeared to be told to start elsewhere in the course and appeared to hop around from hole to hole in random order. Commonly when playing mini golf in the past we let other faster groups play through if needed but never had the opportunity tonight. Needless to say, I do not recommend going to this place and will NOT return ever again. It may be an "okay" place for a couple on a date or a family with only one or two children. Some business advise for the owners: - Post your hours clearly online and onsite for both peak season and off season. - Hire workers that are kind and courteous and not focused on leaving at an indeterminate time that is unknown to your customers. - If the workers need to leave by a certain time, perhaps don't accept new golfers past a certain time. After being in business for a while it should be clear how long the course takes for a group to complete. - It would be nice to have prices posted clearly as well but I understand from a marketing standpoint not posting them. read more

Small putt putt on OIB that has a ton of easy holes. You can almost bet on getting at least a couple hole-in-ones. The course used to be cared for better a couple years ago but it seems like it's just been let go recently and the bathrooms stunk. Also the water fall feature used to work but is now full of algae and grass clippings. It's currently $6 a person or $10 all day play. A bit pricey for a course like this, they can charge that much because of the location and convince for all the families visiting the island that don't want to drive to N. Myrtle. My 3yr old got to play for free which was nice. If you go after dinner it will be slammed especially during the summer months. With that much money coming in they should really update the course and maintain it better! I bet there is 2-300 people here at peak hours! That's at least $1200! You can clean a bathroom for that much! Meh... it's good for little ones and another feature of OIB. But the owners need to step it up and fix this place. read more

This must be a huge profit center for the owner. The course is not at all maintained (see my picture, all of the greens are chewed up), the holes are designed to maximize space (about 5 of the 18 holes are just tiny right-turns). For $6 + a fee to use credit cards you'd expect a decent course. This place probably makes $1,200+ per day from May-Sept and is still awful. The holes themselves are very friendly - many have downhill slopes leading to the holes for easy holes-in-one. Again a good business move - people are happy about a hole-in-one and it gets them through the course faster. An OK activity given OIB is desperate for nightlife of any kind, but I defy someone to show me another course in worse shape. read more

I honestly can't tell why there's all these bad reviews. There must be new management or something. Went and had a excellent experience! Went right before they closed and got in just in time. Greens looked fine to me. The only complaint I have is the holes themselves need to be a little deeper! (My ball kept bouncing out lol) When we had 2 or 3 holes left there were a few families in front of us and it was getting late so we decided to leave. As we were walking out, the lady told us we could play on the front holes again instead of waiting. We told her thank you but we had to go. Great experience, definitely a great time and I would recommend this as something to do that's on the island! read more

Played again this summer vacation and I wanted to fill you in with some improvements. The waterways that wind the fairways and greens have been cleaned and look great. The dumpsters that caused an odor last year has been taken care of, the smells are gone. My family and I had a really good time this year. Thank you for the updates. read more

Rude service and very costly. The course was poorly maintained and not at all exciting. just dirty dyed blue tubs of water with some sad looking fiberglass animals sitting in them. If you are wanting to go play mini gold then just make the drive to Myrtle beach it will be worth it. read more

As a father of a child who is bound to a wheelchair I have had enough of business that have no idea what the Americans with Disabilities Act is. I took my family there today and after about 20 minutes of walking around the place we found no ramp. No way for my daughter to get up the stairs and to the course. We left absolutely disgusted. I called the business and inquired about a ramp. The young man told me that it's something they haven't been able to address yet. That ends now If I had a dollar for every business my family and I have been unable to visit because there was no way for us to enter we'd be well off and then some. We spent the first two years of our daughters life living on pins and needles because we were told at any second she would die. She's now ten. Why? Her strength and our willingness to advocate for her. We will return to Ocean Isle Beach and the putt putt place that my daughter missed out on. I'd say the end of the season is fair. If there is no ramp, there WILL be an ADA lawsuit. This I promise! I'm a father who has had all I'm going to take of my daughter being dissapointed because she's different. Up to now with situations like this we've been very passive. Not anymore. read more

This place was awesome! We went at 5:30 pm on a Saturday and it was not busy, and there was no wait to play. After my boyfriend and I finished our game, the woman at the entrance even let us go again for free. Unfortunately it's the only golf in town. It's the only mini golf place I've ever been where many of the greens are designed like funnels into the cup, ever so slightly. It's poorly maintained - one of the putting cups were wedged shut with napkins, the water was a gross green and not operating. Finally, this is a pretty easy course. My 2 year old was able to get a hole in one without any help...more than once. read more

Me and my husband called in advance and they assured us that they were open till 4 pm. We arrived (from holden beach-35 min away) around 215 pm to find that they were impossible to find. Then, when we did find them, we found that they were in fact closed. read more

The attendant was nice enough. However the greens are a little rough, bathrooms aren't maintained, and the grass was a little high. It is an ok place if you have smaller children like we do. Would give more stars if the bathrooms were clean and the grass was cut. read more

I don't think this deserves the low stars posted. Our family of 6 went and played a great round of putt putt! No, the course wasn't challenging, and, yes, it was easy holes-in-one, but isn't that what makes it fun for the kids? Ages 4-10 had a ball on our watch and the price was right! I would love to give this place more stars, but those bathrooms look like something ISIS would use to torture captives. Seriously. And I got a rash from the toilet paper. Also, they should tell you that the last hole spits the ball back into main office. I wanted to repeat a few holes (there was no way I would pay $10 for a day pass) but as soon as I hit that ball into the last hole I knew they screwed me. Honesty is a virtue! read more
