The Office Massage specializes in the neck and shoulders which I need to have at least performed once or twice a month. My sister who is a licensed and certified massage therapist told me that all of my stress is located in my neck and shoulders. When I went to my chiropractor, he told me the same thing. Now that I know that they have the Office Massage Treatment here, I will be visiting more often. That's another thing, for the quality of the massage that you receive here, it is reasonably priced! We haven't been here in a while. We used to have massages at least a few times a year as a special gift for ourselves but with our schedules, it's been difficult. We visited Chan Thai when they first opened. We were ecstatic that they are literally walking distance from our home. Along with the excellent clientele service, excellent masseuses and prices, we are truly grateful. In the past, we drove to Valencia for our massages. We were off today so we decided to pay Chan Thai a visit and treat ourselves. We called them up to schedule an appointment and to our surprise, they remembered us! I can't tell you how wonderful the hospitality is here. It was great for him to pick up the phone and address us by our names which was so welcoming. This is top tier service and was so happy to be treated well. He was so courteous and professional. His voice was so soothing and refreshing to hear. Along with their primo hospitality, the facility has great Feng Shui. Couples with the music, it IS zen. It feels relaxing when you walk in and with the staff being so welcoming, it is comfortable. The decor is very nice as well. The ambience puts you in the right mood. Along with checking in with the host, I can't tell you enough how wonderful our experience is here. Our masseuses, A.A. and Sandy are incredible. We've requested them for our visits. My husband and I couldn't talk enough of how our bodies and minds feel so fantastic after our experience at Chan Thai. Truly authentic Thai massage. The hot stones massage was INCREDIBLE. I CANNOT wait to visit again for my Office Spa treatment. I will most likely be back in two weeks for that. I've already spoke with my husband and stated that we should visit monthly because this has been the best massages we've received in quite some time. With the excellent massages and quality hospitality, this is our number one massage spa to visit. I tell you, we were blessed that they're right around the corner. I guess you get what you pay for. My massage therapist during my massage, kept speaking to me and letting me know that her hands hurt and her job is hard on her body.... I don't know how this place runs but maybe they should give their staff a break?? I felt like a jerk for hiring them to massage me like I should not have come in tonight... My fiancé on the other hand had two different people massage him, as every time the phone rang they would step out answer the phone swap out people and then swap out again. No consistency. Lastly, when we were leaving ... again can't argue with how affordable 2 (1) hour massages were $100, 50 bucks each. Can't be beat... When we went to tip them as we did 20%... The massage therapist looked at the 20% tip and told us can you give us more our hands hurt. Wow - unfortunately I only plan for a 20% tip and didn't have more money to give. This poor staff that clearly is overworked and must be under paid or if anything not trained on how to treat client/customers because they left us feeling so weird that I will never be back. Made us feel like scum buckets for not tipping beyond 20%... Am I wrong? Am I supposed to tip more than 20%... Looked it up on the Internet and it says 20% is accurate.

I had my first session with Johana a couple days ago - I went to her because I'm (still) having a…read moreconsistent dull pain through my neck, shoulder and radiating down my arm, making me feel like I have a dead arm; with her ad saying that she does Swedish deep tissue massage and all the great reviews I thought she would be able to help me feel better. Unfortunately, that was not the case - her pressure was so hard it was uncomfortable and not relaxing at all, and at times she didn't use enough oil or lotion and was pulling my skin. Before we started the massage I told her what my issue was but it was not addressed and I had to ask her to work on it before turning me over. I'm almost sorry that I did - the pressure and technique she used was hard and vigorous when it needed to be slow and deep. As a massage therapist myself with over 20 years experience I know there is a difference between deep tissue massage and just being hard - real deep tissue massage needs to slow to be able to work through tissue rather than just vigorously pushing in really hard; I felt like she wasn't reading my body at all and in my experience you can tell if you're paying attention. I was looking forward to a Swedish deep tissue massage that would help me feel better, not a Thai massage - I don't like Thai massage and if that's what I wanted I would've gone to a Thai place and paid less. I ended up leaving feeling beat up (she literally pounded on me a couple of times), not relaxed and still in pain with added pain of feeling bruised by the super hard pressure. My neck/shoulder/arm issue is still bothering me today, along with still feeling bruised. The good part of the session was the amazing stretches she does - Johana is tiny but mighty and puts a lot into her work. I was apprehensive in doing this review because Johana is a professional, sweet lady with great positive energy and is skilled - with her stretches being her strong suit; that's why I gave her 3 stars.
