I never write bad reviews but these were the absolute worst spring rolls I've ever had. Litetally tofu and shredded lettuce wrapped up. No cucumber or carrots etc. just tofu, lettuce. I settled with vegetable spring rolls, since I've called in the past requesting chicken egg rolls and the owner is strict on no chicken egg rolls, even when I offered to pay extra. I love Ocean Pho!!! I always get a #3 and it is delicious! The girls who work there are always nice and service is quick. The place is packed all the time, I eat there about twice a week. I highly recommend Ocean Pho however, if you have never eaten Pho before take a moment to google it especially if you re getting a to go order your meat comes raw because the hot broth is what cooks it. This place recently opened (September 2013) and I decided to try it out after my roomates came home with some seriously delicous smelling soup the other day. I went on a late Sunday afternoon to get a to-go order. I had to sit down and wait for it with a glass of water (that was nice of them) for about 15 minutes. No big deal to me generally. What I was more let down about was lack of direction when you walk in (albeit it is in a strip mall). There is no podium, only the counter in the back which I headed toward to place an order to take away....and was consequently seated at a table where I awkwardly paid the bill as if I had been served. Just awkward. I can get over that, The prices are average... $7-11 for entrees. I ordered steak and beef flank pho and a bahn mi chay (veggie sandwich) to go. When I got home I tried the broth by itself (they package it all separately, which is great, and scary...keep reading). The broth was a little plain but a good base. I opened the foam container to find raw steak on top of cooked flank meat next to solidified cold vermicelli. The raw/cooked meat together threw me for a little loop. I know the pho comes with raw steak, I just didn't expect it to be packaged that way. In a separate grocery store style thin produce bag was thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, scallions and a small container of chili sauce...and 3 jalapeno medallions. 3. THREE. I like mine very spicy, but hadn't specified, so I added my own chili sauce in addition. Overall it tasted alright and was a very large portion (a quart of broth before the rest!) Enough for two people. My bahn mi was all kinds of disaster and I wish I could un-eat it. I ordered the veggie one hoping for fresh and crisp, tangy veggies and chewy bread. What came was wilted cilantro on woody stems, one piece of tough cucumber, vinegary shredded clumpy carrots, oily mayonnaise that tasted questionable.....and patties? They were flavorless, textureless meat-ish slices about 1/4" thick on my sandwich. If it was tofu, I must be really confused, because I have had these before and generally, if it has anything besides veggies it is shredded tofu and it is specified on the menu, The menu here has it listed out of category, let's not get started on the typos, check their menu tab in their website. I was hoping the errors gave it better cred as super authentic? Anyway, whatever was on there was pork-like and tasted gross. I didn't finish it. The roll was like a chewy deli roll rather than a crusty baguette. I couldn't have stood to eat there with the TV blaring sports recaps and staring at the tacky sponge painted mural walls was dizzying. I often miss Vietnamese food, having eaten it several days a week not too long ago in the Westminster area (Little Saigon). If this place gets fresher ingredients and I am not sick tomorrow I may give it another try....until then I will hold out and continue to mad scientist at home with things I can't read from the Asian market. Don't bother with a special trip, if you are craving pho, proceed with caution. read more

*Great customer service* I didn't actually go to this restaurant, but have a good experience with them nonetheless! They close at 9:30 and my girlfriend and I wouldn't have been arriving until a couple minutes after 9. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate us, which they respectfully said they could not, as they accept their last customers up until 9. A few minutes later, on our way to find another place to eat, the kind lady I spoke to on the phone called me back and informed me that the other Ocean Pho restaurant in Redlands(near Harkins theater) stays open until 11, and stops accepting new customers at 10:30. We proceeded to our new destination and enjoyed delicious and generous servings of pho! Our night worked out great due to the great customer service we experienced through an employee at Ocean Pho, Yucaipa, just calling in! :) I would imagine you can expect the same dining in. read more

When we first walked in, we were glad at how clean this place was. I've been to places where their condiments weren't clean, and were sticky from everyone handling the bottles. But not this place, and they don't water down their sriracha. I ordered their wanton and BBQ pork soup with egg noodles, and my bf got the beef soup. Both tasty. The only thing was our server was extremely slow and forgetful. He never refilled my bf's drink which was $2.50 and our smoothies weren't all the way full. read more

The food is decent. Definitely not on the top of the list for the best pho I've had. However, this place has a special place in my heart as I've always went there after a good winter getaway and pho is on the top of my mind on the way home. Great service and decent food. The place has good flavors. I ordered the won ton and bbq pork soup with egg noodles. The noodles were cooked al dente. Good combination of flavors in the broth. Roasted garlic, some Asian vegetable that looked like green onions but they were something else. The bbq pork was a loin that's marinated, then fire roasted. Combine the above with a variety of green onions, cilantro and won tons. The protein portion in the won tons were 1/3 of the size they should be. The service is quick and friendly. Not much of an interior to speak of. The menu is huge when it comes to variety. They even serve some Chinese and Korean dishes. The price is a little higher than most Vietnamese restaurants, but they're in a town that has no other Vietnamese restaurants. It's a monopoly on phó. I would have given them 4 stars but the price and those micro won tons cost then a deficit of one star. In conclusion, the prices are a little higher, but the flavor is there. read more

So we were in town and this place happen to be the closest Vietnamese restaurant. When I arrive, it was extremely hot like fire in the kitchen! I was with a group of seven and there was no one or menu was giving. We waited over six minutes and no one came to our tables. There were a couple, walk in, Seated and already took order while we were sitting and waiting like idiot. The waitress was terrible and she was giving attitude. It's an extremely beyond shamed when our food came before our water! One of my party order some chicken wings and it was not freshly cook! It was microwaves, I kindly told waitress and she gave another attitude that it was made fresh and I work for several restaurant as a chef and I convince it was microwaves because the chicken wings was soggy and wet ( not crispy or grilled). While we almost finish our entree, another one of my party did not receive his Pho and told the waitress twice and finally, she return and told us that it coming and we told her to cancel since we are already done. She refused to cancel the order and say that she mistakenly put it "to go". Sadly, I can't believe this restaurant is even consider four stars on Yelp. If possible, I'll give it -1 stars! I nearly lost my appetite. I do not encourage any families/ friends or local/ distance to even come to this restaurant. Even Little Caesars next door smell amazing! This place gets an order wrong and then they try to deflect the blame. Didn't give a single care either. Ordered no peas. Rice was delivered with no vegetables at all. Also, no soy sauce in the bag. It was pretty rad eating plain fried rice. Their excuse was that the peas, carrots and onions are mixed together. Would have been cool to communicate that with their customers. I am by no means a self-proclaimed Pho critic, BUT I have had a lot of pho and know what I like. Now that I live here in Yucaipa (a much more rural area compared to my old residences) I was surprised to see we even had a pho place! The name confuses me as the ocean is far away... So far this place is the best I've had in the area. Unlike other pho places, the pho broth here at this restaurant is very light, just the way I like it. Most places that I go to before tend to have an oily broth that contains thicker consistency soup or you can see lot of oil in the soup. I give them an extra star because it's Yucaipa, and it's wonderful compared to many of the local restaurants. I always order pretty much the same dish, no matter which Vietnamese restaurant I'm at: charbroiled pork with vermicelli noodles and egg rolls. I admit it isn't the best I've ever had (normally eating Vietnamese in the SGV,) and it seems to be missing some of the traditional fresh herbs, but it's good and refreshing on a warm day. Our church stopped by here for lunch after our retreat at Oak Glen on Sunday and we literally took over the entire restaurant! We had a lot of children and the staff was very courteous and accommodating. It go so busy at one point I think they called someone who didnt work there to help out. Food was good. Had one of their rice plates, wife had pho and we also ordered spring rolls and their fried chicken wings. Everything was tasty and very satisfying. We also ordered a milk tea boba which was pretty decent for a place in Yucaipa. The boba was a bit too soft but the milk tea was very good. You could actually taste the tea! I went to USA for my vacation and my friend recommended this to me. The food was good and services are the best. If you want me to recommend, I would recommend this to everyone!
