Don't even know why I gave this place another shot. First time i came an hour before stated closing time, but restaurant was lights off and closed. I noticed they removed the "open till midnight" sign on the window but their Google/Yelp/Menu says open till 12am/1am. I came for the 2nd time during lunch hours and the waiter was rude and clearly did not want us there. His attitude made me nervous and made me feel suspicious about him handling my food. When we entered our orders were quickly taken by a nice lady. We both ordered pho, and one of the guys working there informed us kindly about their in house chili oil and was very friendly. The pho was delicious and we also got pork eggrolls on the side which were yummy! I'm excited we finally have a good pho place in Beaumont! The only thing I feel that we are missing out on now is that maybe the noodle portion could be a little bit bigger, and also maybe some banh mi. A little frustrated because I wanted to write a good review for this place. The pho was really good, service was quick (we were the only 2 people in the restaurant at first), restaurant was clean, and up until the very ending I had no complaints. Unfortunately when I went up to pay things changed. We ordered 2 large pho at 15.99, one sparkling water, and one pepsi from their refrigerator. Mid meal along with our pho they brought us a small plate of fried egg rolls that we never ordered. I would have questioned them but we thought they were just giving them to us. We were one of only 2 occupied tables and she took the other tables order and set it down without saying anything. We figured it was a similar situation to some places giving bread. We actually didn't even end up eating them. After we were done eating I went to the register. When I asked to pay the lady punched in $61. I was SURE that wasn't right and she hadn't handed me a receipt. When I questioned it she told me "2 large pho and egg rolls and two pepsi" and I pushed back that it was only the 2 pho and 2 drinks and that one was a sparkling water. She then punched everything into the monitor and printed a receipt for $45 for 2 pho 31.98 and 2 pepsi 9.98 **I will upload a pic of the receipt later on.** Even if we had ordered egg rolls (which we 100% did not) the total wouldn't have been $61. The egg rolls were listed on their menu for $5.99. She just punched in a random number into the payment receiver without even putting it in the system and then tried to argue with me about why I was wrong. Reading the other reviews we anticipated a 15% tip add on but that wasn't listed anywhere on the receipt. I would love to buy more of their food but I just can't get behind situations like this. read more

The first time I ate pho here, I thought it was very tasty. The soup was clear but rich in flavor with a good amount of meat and noodles. Today, I was in the area and looked forward to another great meal. For some reason, the tables did not look cleaned. There were a bunch of bowls and dishes still left at the tables. There was only one dude working in the front. I ordered a #3 small and waited. I noticed there were no plastic Asian soup spoons, just regular spoons and all the condiments in the container seemed dirty and not filled. My pho came out and as soon I took a sip of the soup, it wasn't even hot. Same for the noodles. I expect to eat pho really hot, but this was like almost lukewarm. The flavor was ok but it would have tasted much better if it was hot. I did not want to complain bc I did not have much time for another one. As I was paying for the bill, he charged me for a LARGE instead of the SMALL. It just showed how much attention he was paying. PHO-get about it! This food has yummy food but the service needs to improve big time. I had to get up and give my order since our server forgot about us. Every other customer got table service and I didn't. The staff even forgot my drink, it wasn't packed and I'm really patient when it comes to places that are understaffed, but this was borderline careless. Thankfully, my Vietnamese diced beef was delicious and saved the day! The place is calm and there's plenty of seating for large or small groups. The customer service is horrific! I picked up a to go order. It took 45 minutes after I arrived. They were making orders for customers who had arrived after I did. Putting the to go order behind the new customer arrival. This has happened before. Perhaps the lesson here is to dine in. Day after Thanksgiving, I'm driving home to the Coachella Valley, from San Diego. Traffic was nuts in the area, so I pull off the road to have lunch. I happened upon this location, by chance, so I took a chance. I walked in to see two huge groups getting ready to leave. There were a few people standing near a cash register, so I queue up. There are some menus stacked up near the register. I pick one up and the young man behind the counter immediately WHISPERS, "do you have an order?" I couldn't hear him, so I asked him to repeat. He points at the menu. I order a #2 and an iced tea. He whispers something. I ask him to repeat, and he points at a table. I go sit down. Mind you, I'd been in the car for nearly 2 hours, at this point, so I am in need of using the restroom. Of those two big groups that were getting ready to leave, when I walked in, half of them are queued up for the bathroom. I got worried. Was what they ate causing them to need the restroom so urgently? In my head, I'm already planning my exit, should the food not be good. After several minutes, I'm able to get into the bathroom. Thankfully, it is clean, though I wish they had paper towels instead of a hand dryer. I go back to my table, right near the register. There is a man standing there, highly upset at his to-go order. He asks the young man at the register if there is someone there who speaks English. Young man whispers something and then goes to the back, for several minutes. He emerges several minutes later with a few bowls, for a table to my left. Finally, a lady comes out of the kitchen to speak to the man who had the incorrect order. (Mind you, he opened the order and took several bites out of it, while he was waiting.) He complained that he had order the "crispy, fried tofu." She said she would make another. Wrong order guy proceeded to look for people to commiserate with. He told everyone that they didn't give him his "crispy, fried tofu." Register guy goes over to a corner to stock the drink fridges that line one wall. There is a line forming at the register. He either doesn't care or doesn't think they are ready to order. After emptying one box, he goes back to the register. Thankfully, "crispy, fried tofu" guy gets his order and leaves. Register guy brings my bowl of pho and some sprouts, basil, limes, and sliced jalapeños. There was no spoon in the holder on the table, neither were there any napkins. I ask him for some napkins. He grabs the napkin dispenser and disappears. I get up and go to another table for a spoon. The broth of the pho was incredibly flavorful. Some of the best tasting broth that I've had in a long time. There was a good amount of meat. Noodles tasted like they hadn't been sitting all day. Sriracha and hoisin bottles definitely needed to be cleaned. The pho was absolutely delicious. Tables for the big groups were covered with bowls and leftover food. Lines at the front. Register guy won't speak above a whisper. Tables don't have the necessary utensils to eat. Prices were in line with what other places charge. All told, I really enjoyed my food. I did not enjoy anything else about the lunch. I realize it may have been a really off day for them, but I don't think I'd voluntarily go back. read more

BEWARE! My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant. When we asked for a check, they came with this portable machine to process the payment. It asked if I wanted to leave, 15, 18 or 20% tip in which I chose 18%. When I asked for my receipt, the total charge already included a 15% tip in addition to the 18% tip I added to the machine. This is a total scam. This review is during covid and only for the boba . It was mediocre . I was craving boba and driving through this area. A quick search and this was the closest to me. The taro smoothie was good . They made it fast. The boba texture was wrong. I don't know enough about how boba is prepared to be able to tell you what they did or didn't do but it was just off. I still drank it all. One waitress/boss lady took my order. I ordered the combo pho large. Everything came out to be $19.67. They included a 15% tip automatically on the bill if you dine in. So it's $15.99 plus tax $1.28 and 15% tip of $2.40= $19.67. That's ok but this is the first time I have ever experienced an upfront tip charge at a restaurant. As far as the pho goes, it's not up to the quality or the flavor of what a great pho should be. 2 stars for the pho. But hey, where else can you find a pho place in Beaumont, CA.
