The receptionist told me there was no one above her. I replied that this could not be the case, as she is clearly not the president of the company and must report to someone. At that point, the receptionist told me, "I am not here to listen to your grievances." When I attempted to clarify that I simply needed the name of the appropriate person to contact, she interrupted me, said she had another call to answer, and placed me on hold. I told her that I was not trying to share my grievance with her--I only needed the correct name. She then hung up on me. When I called back and waited on hold again, she answered. I asked for her name, and she responded only with, "How may I direct your call?" When I repeated my request for her name, she hung up on me a second time. I find it unbelievable that a company of this size provides such poor customer service and continues to operate this way. Instead, the meeting turned into a long one-hour listing presentation, and the Guaranteed Sale Program was not discussed at all, even though that was the main reason I contacted them. Her follow-up response was that she would "connect me with the broker for clarity" and that the program is not designed for sellers who want a home sold in 30 days. That felt like my question was sidestepped rather than answered. Adding to the confusion, my husband listens to Adrienne Lally and Attilio Leonardi on their Saturday morning radio show, where they consistently say that "if they cannot sell your home, they will buy it." That messaging is very clear, yet the explanation I received suggested the reality may be much more limited. Because of that, the Guaranteed Sale Program felt more like a marketing hook to draw people in rather than something clearly explained upfront. Pros: Organized general listing presentation.
