Non-Responsive Managing Agent, I tried to get a hold of the individual going back to 4 Feb 2026 with no response to email or phone voice mail, it's now 8 April 2026 still with zero communications. When you call the front desk 808-539-9777 they refer you back to your non-responsive Managing Agent. Continuous loop of nothing. I understand why this company has such a low rating Yelp rating. UPDATE I reached out to the Hawaiian Properties President Jarrett Walters for resolution. He responded in under 1 hour that he would look into this right away. He is a great customer focused manager! I have been living in a building for several years that Hawaiian Properties, Ltd. manages. The communal washer and dryers, which the company is responsible for managing, have had issues on and off since we moved in. The main issue is that the machines are just off and unavailable for use at random times. I email and leave messages but no one ever gets back to me or addresses the issue. My property management company for my unit has worked with them as well but the issue never seems to get fully resolved. I would be wary of every dealing with this company. read more

AND WE'RE BACK with now not 1 unit with a portable A/C but TWO that we can see and another unit that installed a whole window unit. As I'm sure there is way more units that have them in their units because I've seen multiple portable A/C's by our trash can and even the boxes in the trash can. So there is way more people in the building that has them. Let's also add at the fact that our trash can is supposed to be inside of our pool area because there is always dumpster divers and even people throwing their trash away in our trash. There is a lady that walks from around the block to throw her trash in our bin??? Emailed Charles in February... no response. Emailed again in May actually responded in a day. THEN claims our house rules don't say anything about not having portable A/C when it's clearly NUMBER 23!!! And now not only unit 10 has 2 portable A/C, unit 3 also has a portable A/C. And now unit 6 has a WINDOW A/C INSTALLED!!! Don't ever rent or buy with Hawaiian Properties!!! read more

I have been trying to follow-up with Prop Mgr Keith K. for over 2 weeks and just get a voice mail. He has yet to even return any call. Very unprofessional! The receptionist although polite and nice takes many rings before answering (sometimes). When you do get forwarded the line gets cut off. This business is definitely lacking as one of its main objective should be to satisfy their customers. Not timely returning numerous calls is a huge minus as it's so aggravating. Management definitely needs to correct this weakness. Maybe because the private unit owners are at the HOA mercy of its managing company, Hawaiian Properties could care less to concerns of the individual unit owner. Um the worse customer service here. Called multiple times prob about 20 times Friday and Monday. No one picks up. Even the operator has an answering machine. The 1 time the operator picked up it sounded like I woke her up from a nap! Is this a legitimate business cause it's almost as if no one is working there. read more

The 1111 Wilder access keys were changed and they never gave utilities company the right keys in the lock box. The building managers does not respond to messages or take orders from owners or the board. It takes days to get them to respond. Someone need to fix the telephone and call box because it's been broken for three weeks and people are missing mail & food deliveries. Please fire our building manager. read more

I changed banks and spoke to a very nice young lady about switching my automatic HOA payments to my new account and, because there was plenty of time for the switch, was assured that the next month's payment would be taken from my new bank. That didn't happen, and it has caused me a lot of problems. I have been calling and leaving messages for SOMEONE to get back to me to no avail, although someone did call me from a phone marked "Private" which my phone automatically rejects. Why do I, a customer, have to chase to get a call back? Think I'll tell both banks to not pay...bet I get a call back pronto in that case! I rate them -10! read more

Terrible property at 1555 Wilder Ave. Don't live on the first floor if you don't want to hear every dropped item, cough and step of the tenants in the top floor. Aside from the building they manage and the lack of disclosure prior to move in, they allow additional tenants, smoking and disturbances during quiet hours, etc. I felt very trapped living there and when they listed my unit vacant even though I was still paying rent and hadn't moved out yet, they put a target on my back. There was at least two attempted break ins. They offered no help and refused to remove the listing until I left. Police report filed. Thanks a lot! read more

I've lived in Punahou Circle for 10 years now and have there have been 2-3 different companies managing the building over the years. Jason Marbeiter from Hawaiian Properties has by far been the best property manager we've had. Both he and the resident manager "E" have made sure that any issues that come up are handled quickly and professionally. read more

This propert should not be in the business, specially the property manager from 1919 citron street. They posted a unit, which we are interested as some of our family lives nearby. So I tried on their given number and every time they let me know its still available, they transfer the call to the property manager. But she never receive the call or never return any of the call request. So much unprofessional behaviour from this person. Somehow my husband able to finally contact with her, We applied and then again called her that we applied. No hearing after that! My husbad is really a patient person, so agin he tried repeatedly and then the manager informed that they have someone in their mind. What's the point of posting some rental property then never receive call. And took the application fee unnecessarily of you already have some approved application. Funny thing they still have that listing on their website. This company will not lose any chance to get application fee from the people! A very cheap, thrid class rental company who does not have any courtesy of returning call, or treating applicats respectfully! I will suggest them to go back to basic manner course! 1 star as they don't go below in to the negative where this so called company belongs. If you call them you are forwarded and forced to leave a voicemail message. They never respond back. If you email their customer service you wait for days or never receive a response. Then they make promises to handle the situation and nothing happens. I am trying to get a simple Surepay application processed which I submitted 6 weeks in advance thinking this should be no problem but after numerous attempts with phone calls and finally with their email customer care I received a response that my application was received and still in review! I would probably think I should just forget it and send a personal check but then you risk them losing that or not posting to my account. Hawaiian Properties handles our HOA and distributes checks etc. of the HPA's behalf.  I have called Hawaiian Properties in an effort to correct an error in the checks they are distributing four times and left four messages but they have not responded once.  I sent an email to them regarding the problem and they did not respond.  I sent a letter with tracking to them which shows they received it, but they have not responded.  This has been going on for over there months.  This is a shoddy, poorly managed business and if I could give them less than one star, I would. read more

Beware. This is a poorly run Property Management Company. They managed my 6-unit apartment complex in Kailua Kona. For about a year we endured their chaos. We made so many complaints they finally quit. Thank goodness for that! During this time, we faced a complaint from Hawaii Fair Housing as the manager had allowed bogus tenants to move-in. This was an expensive matter to settle as we needed an attorney to handle. The lease forms they used were obsolete and had little protection for the property owner. All leases needed to be rewritten to cover these loopholes. Hawaiian Properties had managed for the previous owners. During this time they failed to oversee the operation of the solar electric system. After about a year we managed to get the solar electric systems functioning properly. The rents were not collected properly. The manager allowed tenants to pay rents late without any penalty. In conclusion, do yourselves a favor and skip this management company. Otherwise, you can look forward to plenty of trouble and expense. read more

They manage the HOA association of my building. It is so full of incompetence it is not even funny. How are they even allowed to be in business working the way they do? Their management is so incompetent it is glaring for all to see. Promoting & making HOA expences like there's no tomorrow knowing how expensive life is already for us living here in Hawaii. In just 12 months, our HOA fees increased 2 times. It went from the $700s to $800s then to $1000s. They are hiding behind the so called Maui insurance nonsense to get away from stealing from homeowners. While families are struggling to feed their loved ones and keep a roof over their heads, they are consciously and deliberatly choosing to spend funds on unnecessary projects, like beautifying paint jobs ir other works that are non emergent and could be delayed to give homeowners a break. They offer no plans of helping homeowners safe money during these difficult times. An example could be making it an option for members to either choose to physically participate in community space cleaning/upkeep or pay for it to be done with increase in their fees. This way, families who can, will have the option of volunteering their time and saving on finances which can reduce keep their monthly HOA fees somewhat affordable. Instead, they advocate for random increases inconsiderate of people's living conditions which are driving families to the brink of poverty. Such practices are contributing to pricing homeowners out of their own properties for the rich Americans who don't have to struggle as much to make ends meet. It is time that someone looks into this one sided lavish power control that HOA organizations continue to benefit from. read more

This company manages our commercial building property with 14-units and let me just say... they are horrible to work with! In the past they overcharged us for water usage (by thousands!), the property looks like shit, someone damaged and broke into the mailboxes and stole mail, and the exterior fence, building and the roadway is unkept.... I could go on to list more but.....seems useless since it will not fix any issues! They recently sent us a 'statement' showing past due since 2023, the new statement shows a different amount... I tried to clarify what all the charges were for but no one returned calls or responded to emails. It's like a NON-EXISTENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY ... sad! They view their tenants as lowlife scum and don't let us in the office. They also don't answer the phone. Please DO NOT rent from them or use them as your property manager. They do not answer emails, calls, nor offer any services that are deemed "professional". Their communication is subpar to say the least, it is very frustrating! This new kid, probably a transplant from California, Brent Hasvord, sounds all cheery and attempts to "help" you. However, when you tell him your problems at your property, he says he has a "meeting" and will get back to you. He also gives you his manager's (Michael Vosh or something) contact information, an email, that goes unanswered. After attempting to contact him for DAYS, IF NOT WEEKS, the trail turns cold. Sheeeeeeesh! My 3 year old cousin could do better at answering phones. I see all the poor 1 star reviews and you do too! You should avoid them while you can. Also, their public relations on Yelp seem to be pretty good? They answer more frequently than their phone/email lines. Their "business customer service" representative answering these Yelp reviews will probably respond to this with an unoriginal message but HEAR ME BEFORE YOU READ THEIR "RESPONSES"!
