Amazing, amazing, amazing! I loved the entire process of choosing our shades and drapery around our home. We had a large number of windows and I wanted specifically a clean and minimal aesthetic to complement our home. I was very specific on the type of drape hardware that I wanted, and she was able to find an even better one for me (most importantly: strong enough to withstand toddler tugs). Gina was prompt, super communicative, and came with tons of samples and options and she DELIVERED! We went with a combination of light-filtering drapes and shades in areas that we wanted light to shine through, but wanted the privacy. In bedrooms, we went for ultimate darkness with room-darkening shades & drapes. In our kitchen, we went with faux roman shades with light filtering shades to hide our slightly uneven windows. When it came time to install, we got prompt messages confirming install times, and it was a super smooth process. Bobby the installer was amazing as well. He took exact measurements, and took time to install every single drape and shade (super impressive, as we had over 30 to install) with so much attention to detail. I don't write reviews nearly as often as I should but really felt compelled to do so after having an extraordinary, best-in-class experience with Ocean Shades & Drapery. I am a first time home owner and had never ordered custom drapery before. Gina could not have been more helpful, personable, and down to earth! She helped me pick fabrics from what felt like at least 75 options (probably more) and and also helped me think about design, layout, and placement choices that I had not and would not have considered. Quite honestly she really held my hand through the process and that is exactly what I needed! The drapes were installed on Saturday and I cannot stop looking at them! They are so beautiful and have really given our home a face lift! My only wish is that I had more windows so that I could work with Gina and her team more! Just beautiful and worth every penny. I worked with Chinyere (Chin) friom Ocean Shades & Drapery. Chin is not only a drapery expert but she is also a Certified Interior Designer. She has a great eye for detail and color and brought a nice selection of drapery fabric options. We down selected from choices we both made. I ignored one fabric she chose and she asked me to look at it as she held it up. I humored her and barely looked up but when I did, it was a Wow moment. The fabric was a perfect fit for the style of the room and color scheme. In the end I chose the fabric she recommended; a fabric I would have never thought to try in a million years. Sometimes you need to be open to the recommendations of the experts. I'm sure glad I did and I absolutely love it. Chin listened carefully to my requirements and asked all the right questions. She presented a nice selection of rods, finishes, finials, rings and options to consider such as open from the left or right or both sides, traverse rod or not, and black out lining for a very hot sunny room. I originally had them come and give me a quote for replacing my Living room shutters and they both made the experience so easy with so many great designs. The shutters that I originally had for 12 years were such an eye sore, very bulky in a boxy frame. She designed the window with a very classy frame that complimented everything in the room. With this being installed, I decided to also do my office and kitchen windows and both back doors. The kitchen window has an awesome feature that allows me to remove the shutters from the frame for easy cleaning, due to the fact the faucet is in the way.
