The guy behind the counter said it most likely could be repaired and it would run around $95. The next day they called and said it didn't need any parts and the total cost was $59. Amazing!!! They are located in Fort Lauderdale on Powerline Road off of I 95 and Coconut Creek Blvd. They've been in business for over 25 years. He had not answered my calls or text. He Always says he's busy. We called and were quoted approximately $1,600 for the replacement. We then visited the store in person to confirm the price and schedule the installation. A few days later, we received a call offering an upgraded model for an additional $400. We clearly declined and stated that we wanted to stay within the price range we had originally been quoted. We communicated this multiple times throughout the process. After the installation was completed, we were surprised to receive a bill for $2,000 before tax. When we questioned the charge, we were told that a better model had been installed. However, we never agreed to upgrading the system. After expressing our concerns, they reduced the price by $100, but we still ended up paying over $2,000 with tax--significantly more than the original quote. Our main issue is the lack of transparency. We were not informed that a more expensive unit was being installed until after the work was completed. Had we known beforehand, we could have made an informed decision.. We had been considering using Chappy's for a future Diamond Brite resurfacing project, but after this experience, we will be looking elsewhere.

The store is very crowded...when I arrived, there was a rope in the front of the booth, so I asked my question from this side of the rope, and the gentleman looked for the item on the other side....I was there when they opened, so I don't know if that's the way he runs the business or if he would take the rope down..... Besides kitchen gadgets, they have souvenirs, live "money plants", collapsable shopping carts, stove coil elements, cleaning products, etc..... A one stop shop for many.....
