We were there for our 25th anniversary and got a couples massage. The massage therapists were fantastic. The facility itself is just okay. We weren't really given a lot of direction - just sort of pointed to the changing room and weren't told what to do once in there. I had to come back out and ask what I was supposed to do - like how to lock up my belongings. I came back the next day for what they call an express gel mani and pedi. At first, in their lighting it looked decent. Welp, I got out in the sunlight and my nails were a hot mess. As it turns out, the Nail Tech I had was very new. So new that I was her second customer EVER. That explained a lot. So, I called and asked if I could have them redone - they wanted me to come back and see the same tech. I thought about it and declined and they refunded me half.... Well, that night my nails started to chip - and - I had paid nearly (with tip) $200 for this...not even close to what I usually pay but I wanted to treat myself to an experience...well, I got one, but not the one I wanted. So, the next day - more chipping, I called back and requested a full refund. They reluctantly gave it to me with a bit of push-back. Sigh. Not the type of service I would expect from a Spa. Next time, I know better - go to my own salon at home prior to a vacation. read more

The positive and the negative of the pier house spa The negative Me and my wife booked a room to stay at the spa side of the resort. The first room we checked in to had a vent problem with the AC and the bathroom looked nothing like the pictures when we booked. So we let management know we were unhappy especially for the price we payed. Management was helpful and happy to change out our room. The second room was what we paid room 210 on the spa side. BUT was not clean to our standards TV in the bathroom did not work. Tv remote controls were dirty The ceiling fans had so much dust you could see they have not been cleaned in months. When we pulled our blankets back on the bed are sheets had little yellow stains on them wonder what that was. The positive Great location you're right off the main Street and right around the corner from one of the best sunsets in the world. Great little private beach in the back of the resort Food was great at the bar by the beach staff was all very friendly. read more

This spa has come a long way since the last time I visited a few years ago. I remember the service being okay but being real turned off by the lack of a waiting area, i.e. I sat in a chair outside the door of my treatment room as I waited for my massage therapist. Now they have a comfy relaxation room, offer a variety of treatments, serve you champagne after your massage, and really make sure you feel relaxed during your entire visit. Jordan was extremely pleasant and accommodating at the front desk, Ingrid gave a good signature massage, and Elvira made my hands and toes look spectacular with an impeccable mani/pedi. We stayed in a spa suite so it was super convenient to walk down a few minutes before my appointment. We also loved walking into the spa-smelling-and-feeling entry way whenever we came back to the hotel after one of our adventures! read more

Wonderful hair color and trim. I am here for several weeks and needed a root touch up. The products they use are ammonia free. In my experience, those products, although better for your skin and body, don't always do a great job coloring gray or holding their color after a few days. Julie first put a mask over my grays for about 20 minutes, then proceeded to color my hair. After one week it still looks fabulous! A bonus- the color did not stick to my skin so I didn't have that awful dark ring around my hairline which typically takes several days to completely wash away. My hair is as dark brown as it gets, and a week later is still shiny and healthy looking. Julie is so sweet, personable and knew her stuff about hair and products. I'd recommend Her 100%! read more

Really, the only highlight on my spa experience was my massage therapist. Other than that, it's overpriced and the aesthetics and service wasn't all that great. I booked a 50-min Swedish massage. No extra hot towels, room is messy, and left me dripping in oil. When I asked for a towel to wipe my body, there wasn't even extra hot towels prepared or ready for use. Very disappointed. Won't recommend this place unless you want to pay $160+ for a below average service. Desk and therapist was very welcoming and friend tho! read more

Fantastic massage! Kelly was wonderful. Very experienced and knew exactly what to do even though I had trouble explaining specifically what my shoulder issues were. I left feeling like a million bucks and may have even fallen asleep once or twice. Excellent facilities, free glass of champagne to unwind, what's not to love! Let me start out by saying that I have extremely curly hair. Getting my haircut is never a good experience. Hairdressers are afraid to cut curly hair. They either cut too much or too little. Yesterday I had my first haircut with Julie at the spa. It was the BEST cut I've had. She's KNOWS how to cut curly hair. Usually after a cut I go home wash it again and have to style it myself because it looks horrible. Not this time........! Julie is AMAZING! I don't write reviews! Especially as a man at a spa! I am compelled to write this as the service I received was in all ways exceptional! This was not only a treat but a therapy for me. 1st...Julie styled my hair and gave me not only one of the best haircut's I have had...I was nervous to go to someone I was not familiar with...but was the nicest most fun person to spend time with, that I was sorry when I had to move on...and I got compliments on my hair a number of times! Yumi...you want a Mani-pedi...well you have come to the right place. She knows her stuff! She too is very nice and her aim is clearly to relax you while you get the best of the best! Really...I have had many mani-pedis. I love the way she left my nails...in particular my toe nails...perfect is the word that comes to mind. I could not ask for a better end to my visit than Bob...over an hour of pure bliss! I have had so many massages, and usually when I ask for a deep tissue one...what I get does not stay with you. No so with Bob! I felt looser and less pain for days after my massage with Bob who is such a gentleman! My visit to Key West was not long, but I did make the ending wonderful for me... This is a luxurious spa with professional staff that know how to relax you and have the expertise to deliver the services you expect. You will be beach-ready (everywhere!!) and totally relaxed. The most horrible massage I just walked out on. Don't know which is worse, the guide dog in the room for my therapist who was NOT blind, the absolutely no pressure massage, the dropping of the stones on the floor making really loud noises or the lady at the front desk arguing with me how great of a therapist he is.
