Went in for a couples massage and they kept coming in and out of the room during the massage to answer calls to start, the ads on YouTube during what's supposed to be a relaxing time was kind of hilarious but definitely not something I was expecting. I've had deep tissue many times but this was TORTURE! At one point, the person working on my husband asked him if we wanted one more hour and no one asked me; I was dying to get up this massage was so bad but I just had no idea how long it was. The worst massage EVER! I should have gotten up as soon as I laid down on the bed. The massage table was not padded well at all. In fact, when the massage therapist started walking on my back, without warning this was part of the massage, my chin hit a metal bar. I get monthly deep tissue massages....that is not what I got here!!! I got a horrible experience. If you enjoy being walked on, an elbow digging into your muscles, and lathered down with WAY too much oil, this is your place; otherwise stay AWAY!!! read more

I have had many, many massages in my life, but none have been as extraordinary as the ones I had with Amy at Island Massage. To call it a massage is misleading as it was truly body work. She stretched and worked muscles that I didn't know were tight and worked out kinks I didn't know were there. When I left my body was loose and comfortable in ways I had not experienced in years. It was truly incredible!!!! While she also offers the more traditional Swedish massage, what she did to me was in another league. Amy is a fantastic masseuse and takes her job seriously. You can tell she enjoys what she does. When I arrived, she asked me questions about where I was hurting and what kind of issues I had had in the past. Then she got to work, she walked on my back! It hurt, but then she stopped and did some deep tissue massage that felt great, then she walked on my back again. When she walked on my back again, I was so relaxed that it didn't hurt as bad. She spent a lot of time working on my legs and shoulders, where my pain is. She uses only the best essential oils and always made sure I approved of the various scents. I felt the most relaxed I've ever felt after she was done with me. My wife has seen her on previous visits to Key West. The other place stealing the name and saying that they are "Amy" is stealing a TRUE THERAPISTS business. My wife 1st went to see Amy a little over a year ago on a 3 day trip to Key West. She said I had to see her as well. We went back the island for 2 days this past weekend and 1st stop was our appointment with Amy. I went first then wife followed. Be warned-this is not your run of the mill massage. Amy got to work and found some big issues with my hips and shoulders. It was seriously painful at times, but when the tendons and muscles released, I was able to fully rotate a shoulder and have a range of motion that I haven' t seen in over 15 years. I feel like I could pitch a baseball game right now. My hip pain has gone away. I felt amazing and talked my sister into going the next morning. Went there for Masage with my family. To start...the massage table was broken we scheduled 1 hour massages for 4 people. Two people got 50 mins and the other two 40 mins. Jim was the masseuse for 2 people and we both agreed it was one of the worst massage we have received ever ...and we get regular massages. To top things off they charged as $590 when the agreed rate was $480 and then a 20% tip. this was a big mistake avoid this place !!!! read more

Amy gave me a massage that my body needed when I went to her yesterday. I was running late so I didn't really get a chance to go over any ailments/needs/complaints due to me running late for the appointment which was a very last minute appointment. Without me telling her anything, she found everything! In my amazing 3 hour session, she found my old knee injury, TMJ (I didn't realize I had going on), and also some beginning of Tennis Elbow that had been brewing for a while that I forgot about until she found the knots. Amy gives a massage by detailing it to what your body is telling her because she is in tune with what is going on. This is no generic "fluffy" massage you may get at other places. This was Thai, reflexology, stretching, lymphatic drainage, postural alignment and much more mixed all together. I was left speechless by what I experienced and I know that even though I have some soreness today, I will feel so much better. I would fly from Texas to Key West to go to Amy and fly back. First They tried multiple times and did change our scheduled couples massage twice, that shouldve been my sign to bail! so we worked with them and was a bit flexible with our time. We get there it was a complete train wreck! I tried my best to save face for the sake of my husband because he knows how i can be when I'm not happy with something and I just wanted to get out of there. They were talking & questioning the entire time! Scrambling all over the place! Opening and closing doors, the guy spent more time putting stones in and out and repositioning my panties then anything! They were Dropping very hot stones all over the place and our bodies! At one point my husband screamed out loud because it was too hot! I was lathered and dripping in oil that they keep in a PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE! when we left they didn't offer nor did they have any towels, my husband had to wipe me down with paper towels at a near by location, they also said via text message prior to our visit and I quote " I am going to include free CBd oil and aromatherapy for you Hot stone" I have the text message to prove it, WE WERE STILL CHARGED FOR IT!!! On top of all that, We paid for "50 minutes " they stopped at 5:35p even AFTER the guy says "we'll give you some extra minutes for working with us, we have to look out for each other" and didn't! But we went ahead and paid the $280 ONLY for them to STEAL A TIP for themselves!!! $42!! My husband DID NOT leave a tip I watched the whole transaction and made sure he didnt, So before you respond with a lie show the receipt where my husband wrote it in a tip FIRST. We are a bit of massage junkies when on vacation, and Amy is by far the best massage therapist we've ever found. She does a great job and can quickly identify issues with little direction. Amy's studio is just ok. It's clean but don't expect a resort level setting. However she more than makes up for it by her skill...which is often missing on the resorts properties.
