We had an amazing stay at the Oceana. The room was thoughtfully designed and well-appointed, featuring convenient in-room technology that made the stay effortless, including an iPad for controlling lighting and temperature. The staff were very courteous and helpful. When our Uber was on the wrong side of the building to pick us up, one of the valets ran around the building and directed the driver to where we were standing. Anytime I'm back in LA. Great location and the staff was very polite, but lacked attentiveness that you'd expect at a listed 5-star property. Also, the room(s) had issues. We were moved from our first room because the shower wouldn't drain properly, only to be assigned a room where the bathroom sink did not drain. Aaron, the manager was very empathetic and offered various ways to accommodate us for the subpar experience (restaurant bill adjustment, late check-out) , which we appreciated, but declined. All we really wanted was a good experience. The only direct request we had after speaking with Aaron was to have our bed re-made so we could nap before leaving. In fairness, we requested this from the a front desk attendant after they could not locate Aaron directly. However despite being assured that it would happen, it never did. Very unfortunate as we really wanted to like this property given the location. Other, albiet smaller issues included our lunch order being initially incorrect as there was a menu change but the chefs didn't know about it. Our server was very nice and apologetic. My wife was asked and requested a warm room for her spa service but it didn't happen. Also, someone walked in during the middle of her treatment looking for something. We had to walk around to find a server for the pool restaurant after waiting ~10 minutes for someone to arrive. With all of this, we would consider giving it another try namely because of the location and because everyone was courteous despite not delivering, but that would be a tough decision with other proven 5 star properties in the vicinity. read more

There seem to be two Yelp listings for the same hotel, so here is my copypasta. I spent two days at Oceana Santa Monica, cashing in Hilton points and a free night from a Hilton credit card promotion, and it was peak bougie living. Instead of just a room, you get a full suite complete with a cozy library nook that makes the stay feel like a true indulgence. The location is great--just a short walk from the Santa Monica Pier--and the hotel provides free loaner bikes, perfect for cruising the beach via the bike path while dodging the ever-present hobo population. Add in turn-down service, where the room gets a thoughtful once-over while you're out, and it's clear they're going for luxury at every turn. Plus, if you pay exclusively with Hilton points, you avoid taxes and resort fees, making it an even sweeter deal. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. The hotel backs up to an alley, and while the wood blinds do a good job of hiding the view, the noise from garbage trucks and alley activity still filters through. The suite, though spacious and well-appointed, feels a bit dark since it's on one level and gets no natural light from the alley side due to the solid blinds. What an amazing boutique hotel in Santa Monica. My husband and I did an overnight stay and can't wait to come back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and well stocked to toiletries, the location is right across from palisades park making walking to the beach and pier accessible. The best part is the onsite restaurant was phenomenal. We booked through AMEX and used our resort credit towards dinner. I was concerned the food wouldn't be impressive but what a hidden gem. My husband got a steak which was delicious and I got the fig pizza. Breakfast was equally as enjoyable. The pool area is well appointed with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Finally! We live a couple blocks away and have walked by here for over 12 years but never went because it was only available to oceana hotel guests. So far it seems just the restaurant is open to residents now but the terrace lounging area is still only open to guests. The ambience of the restaurant called the sandpiper was so beachy; clean and bright. The service was impeccable and our server was so kind and helpful. We went for lunch to enjoy the sunny day and ocean view. The burrata starter was ridiculously spectacular. We ordered a side of bread to go with it but the flavors of the creamy burrata and spicy radish, tangy red cabbage and sweet in season persimmons just danced together in harmony. We were floored. The chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked and had a nice spiciness to it. The turkey sandwich was so fresh and the cranberry mayo went perfectly with the turkey and toasted sourdough along with crisp lettuce and ripe avocado. I think it was supposed to be to have bacon but I didn't miss it either way. We were told to come back for dinner to watch the sunset and after experiencing a wonderful lunch experience; we will definitely be back. read more

There's a patio on the top floor (3rd floor) that catches wonderful breezes and a good view of the beach while one can grab a drink and light bites. There are different room layouts available and even their king suite is spacious at 400-525 square feet options. Each room is well appointed and elegantly styled. Disappointing stay, but thankfully we used Hilton points (but a lot of them!) for our one night, and didn't pay the $800 cash rate the property was charging per standard room. We experienced a number of significant shortfalls at this hotel that are not befitting of a luxury property charging an extremely high premium. To start, the staff we encountered were far from polished. The valets/bellmen barely acknowledged our arrival, the front desk professional but curt and unsmiling. Diamond status was not acknowledged except to state that the $50 credit would only be applied to one of our two rooms. No upgrade or amenity was provided. The furniture and carpets in the rooms were significantly stained, so much so that the new front of house Director graciously offered to move us, which was greatly appreciated under the circumstances. The current outdoor restaurant space by the pool is very quaint, but the indoor space looks like a conference room. Prices for incidentals like food and drinks are insanely high. Also important to note that their basic rooms face a wall or the windows of the apartments next door. In summary, lots of short falls leave much to be desired at the Oceana Santa Monica. read more

While this location was directly across the street that was the only beauty and elegance I received. My expectations were that service was going to be impeccable and above everything. I assumed it would have started with my room upgrade or offer. I received neither. Despite them having rooms they could have upgraded too. From there it seemed that they just wanted me out the way. From housekeeping rushing to turn down my room, five minutes into me checking into it. Bursting into my room, not once but twice without ringing the doorbell or knocking at 8AM. Why are people waking up that early on vacation? The service at their premier restaurant - they overcooked my $70 strip steak, confirmed that it was over cooked and apologized by offering me a lemonade. Finally, they overcharged me for breakfast that was supposed to be free. When I mentioned my concerns to management. We set an appointment to go over the concerns. They didn't show. Ultimately, I was instructed to contact corporate and corporate sent an apology letter stating this was not how they operate and to reach out to Oceana to correct the billing mistake and to have a nice day. I realize that I am probably not the clientele for this establishment and will not go back. I expected much more out of Hilton though they use to be much better at correcting an issue. The gentleman that checked us in last night was very nice, courteous and helpful!! The lady next to him wasn't. She wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly either. I guess she just wanted to do her job, that's all. Anyway, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, albeit short. The location is great, just across the beach. I'm glad we didn't bring a car otherwise it'll probably be a nightmare coz parking nearby is quite limited. They charge $50+ for valet. Although expensive, I guess it'll be worth it. The toiletries, towels and linens are luxurious. The scent of the toiletries is that of a wealthy old lady kind of smell. It's fine by me. The linens are so smooth like butter and pillows are so soft. And the bed; very comfortable. The entire room smells fresh and looks so well kept. When you're inside the room, you don't hear much noise from the outside so you can relax completely. The bathroom could use some cups for when you brush your teeth. I'm sure they will provide it if you ask, but I expect things to be available without having to ask for them considering it's an expensive hotel. The room needs a bigger table between the two chairs for in-house dining purpose. We ended up placing the food tray on the bench, not so big a deal but it made us feel uncomfortable. Went to Santa Monica for a mini Weekend getaway to celebrate our 2year Wedding Anniversary. Oceana is located on the main street facing the park/ocean. Location is ideal, it's away from the nosy crowded areas, but only a 15min walk from 3rd Street. There's also Valet parking in the front, and they do provide their own free car service for guest : Alto - Higher end Vehicles, with employees instead of contractors. They will drive you a certain mileage before it charges. If you want a ride from Hotel-3rd st. it's Free. Grand Lush greenery drapes the exterior entrance, the aesthetic is very plush and pleasing to the eyes. Our room was located 3rd floor, there's only 3 floors. Room was very cute, I adore the book shelf design. There's a mini swing area for you to hang out infront of your room, thought that was Charming. Pool is located right in the Center on the 1st floor. We received Complimentary Desserts, to congratulate our anniversary.. funny thing is there's another senior couple who checked in same time as us, and they told us it was their 25 Anni, on our dessert platter has our our last name on it, but it said congrats on 25LOL !!! I wonder if they got the congrats on 2year one hehe. From Valet service, front desk, house keepers and all their employees, including Resturant staff, everyone provided exceptional Service! Stayed here on my birthday. Did not inform hotel in advance because I was not expecting much during pandemic when staff levels were down. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was smooth. Our agent Lily was new at the time but eager to help and professional. Upgraded to one of their nicest room on the corner location which I enjoyed the oceanfront view right of the bedroom window, comfortable bedding but wish the blankets were lighter as it is no longer winter months. High quality sheets and towels as well as bath robes. Bottega Veneta toiletries was a very classic choice to match hotel's understated luxury theme. I enjoy the time relaxing on top floor's patio too. Hotel also have a very nice gym as well as a pool too. I did not able to use it at the time because I decided to rent a bike from hotel and scroll around the Santa Monica neighborhood. A tip will be to ask for a bike with basket in case you will buy things along the way. Very friendly valet staffs too. On Saturday morning, you can easily walk (or bike) to the Farmers Market nearby to get some fresh produces too, a shopping mall nearby to make this location very superb. My husband and I decided to stay here for a two day staycation. From the moment you pull up to the valet, the staff makes you feel like you are a VIP. Customer service is clearly important and a priority. Genuine smiles and conversation surrounds the guests. The room was spotless with luxe furnishings, a Nespresso maker (decaf and caffeinated), and fantastic views. The courtyard is lovely to sit and relax with a beverage and enjoy the sunshine. The pool is small but relaxing - and heated to 82 degrees. The restaurant here is worth staying in or getting room service. Don't forget to stop by the front desk for freshly baked sugar cookies - sprinkled with a touch of sea salt (I want another one now that I am writing about them) and the refreshing lavender lemonade. One of my new fave hotels. Love the decor and the 3rd floor terrace lounge. Pool is a little small, but the chairs are very nice and fun to sit at after sunset too. The menu is also pretty good. I showed up at 3pm as the site said that is when check in is, arrived and was told it was between 3pm-4pm. I ended up getting to my room at 430pm. Had I known, I would have been happy to just show up at 4pm. Service was good. I was in Room 106, which had a partial ocean view. Loved the room. :) Will def stay here again. After a very recent stay here with my spouse, the following is my takeaway. First the Pros: Staff extremely friendly and professional. It really makes a difference when traveling - and especially when you're spending boat loads of money which you will if you stay here - and I can't say enough nice things about the majority of staff at the Oceana during our stay. The lobby personnel, the valets, the housekeeping staff and the restaurant personnel mostly seemed to do their very best to make us feel welcomed and comfortable while doing their jobs in a professional manner. The cons: The room itself. It was beautiful and with a view of the beach, bed was big and comfortable, nice sheets, towels in the bathroom were stocked daily. But the room looked as though it really could use a freshening up. Considering the amount of money this hotel charges (expensive), you'd expect everything to be in tip-top shape. But the carpet looked kind of dingy and marked up. Same for the walls. Not badly, but just enough to be noticeable. For me, the worst was the bathroom floor: The tile looked stained and dirty in portions and I wasn't entirely comfortable walking around in bare feet on the cold, slightly discolored tile. The real kicker - the thing that was too much for us to overcome - was the promise of free transportation within one mile. When we attempted to use this service to meet up with family members one night, they completely failed leaving us having to walk about 15 blocks in a heatwave to make it on time to meet family we hadn't seen in a long time and don't get to see often. This really sucked, to put it in the vernacular. Big time. We had booked the transportation well in advance and the hotel uses a third party. Somewhere along the way, both sides failed leaving us standing - all dressed up for dinner - on the sidewalk in 90 degree heat and on our own with no assistance. If the Oceana were an average hotel, most of the above wouldn't really be an issue. But the Oceana Hotel touts itself as a world class hotel - with prices to match. And - for us anyhow - it just didn't live up to its expectations. When we complained about the transportation mess upon check-out, the very nice woman at the front desk offered to comp our final breakfast before checkout. I was happy with that because it showed me they really care enough to try to make it right. But when we got the final bill on American Express a day or so later, there was the breakfast charge. Rooms are very well decorated and clean. The hotel staff is very friendly. We stayed in an Ocean King room, which does not mean ocean views. The room was nice but we couldn't really open our window/sliding door as we were literally 8 off the window of the condo next door. The rooms are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. If I wasn't staying on points, I wouldn't be staying with the cash price $800+/night for basic room after the mandatory "resort fee". Especially after this experience. If you are on a lower floor you can clearly hear the noise from the room above you. We were woken up at 6am from the noise on Saturday morning. It wasn't made clear the food/beverage credit had to be used EACH day and couldn't be used as a total credit on a single day. The Sunset Terrace area on the third floor had nice views. However, when there is a published menu for the Sunset Terrace you would expect some sort of service. Finding out after contacting the front desk that you have to order from the bar on the first floor and take it up to the 3rd floor terrace yourself is a bit strange. Then having 25% gratuity and service charge automatically added to your bill for a bartender to make you a $22 drink, at the bar, that you take away from the bar to go to the terrace is pretty greedy. $61 for valet after tax is extremely rich as there is free street parking from 5pm to 9am directly across the street. read more

Arrived at 10:30pm and was told we were given an upgrade from our king room to the Oceanfront Boardroom (room 103). This is a large room, but more of a meeting space. The bed is a Murphy bed, you can feel the wooden supports under the mattress and the wooden frame around the bed. They were fully booked, so no other option but to leave or sleep on couch. The bartender Nery was friendly and attentive, making sure that all of our needs were met. Our appetizer Tuna Tartar were presented beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious! We followed Nery's recommendation for our main course and I ordered Ora King Salmon Bowl while my fiance ordered Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich which were all cooked to perfection. The meal ended on a sweet note with a surprise sweet treat for my birthday. When Nery brought out a delicious brownie topped with strawberry and sprinkled with some powdered sugar, I knew it was meant just for me! We did not tell Nery that it was my birthday so the hotel staffs must have been paying attention from the day we booked in the hotel. The chef even greeted me a "Happy Birthday!" - not only did this make me feel important, but it also made me realize how much attention goes into making sure everyone is having a good experience at this restaurant. Overall, it was clear that this restaurant goes above and beyond to make sure their guests feel special and appreciated. Later in the day, as the day winds down, Oceana's signature hot cocoa bar station is the perfect pick-me-up for anyone looking to get into a cozy winter state of mind. With its ample selection of toppings, we were able to create our own unique cup of cocoa that truly suits our tastes. We chose from toppings like chocolate syrups, marshmallows, crushed candy cane, chocolate chip, chocolate wafer sticks etc. Whether you're looking for a traditional hot cocoa experience or something more creative, the possibilities are endless at the Oceana hot cocoa bar station. With their convenient pick-up and drop-off service, we were able to get from point A to B in no time without having to worry about transportation costs. This allows my fiance and I to have an easy access throughout the city for sightseeing, shopping, dining and other activities we have planned out during our trip. A stay at Oceana Hotel is sure to provided us an unforgettable experience. We were treated with great customer service and pampered like royalty. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that all of our needs were taken care of quickly and efficiently. Beautiful hotel with modern beachy-posh decor, great service, and a super location. I wouldn't call it five stars, because it's not quite worth the high price to stay here. We had used some Hilton points for our two-night stay. We were upgraded to a room with a small balcony and partial ocean view; it faced Idaho Ave. The room was comfy and nicely made up. Bathroom is nicely decorated with Bottega Veneta toiletries, but the shower is partially open so it can be a little chilly and water gets on the floor during use. Also, very poor water pressure. The pool is lovely, but it was a little chilly so we didn't use it. I would have loved if the hotel had a hot tub for the chilly LA evenings, but no dice. Side note: given the price, I was surprised to see so many kids staying here, but most of them were respectful. Breakfast is where it's at. We received a credit being Hilton Honors members, otherwise it can be quite pricey, but we enjoyed two breakfasts here with excellent food and service. Our favorite dish was the chilaquiles. We used valet parking, and they were always very prompt and polite, but it is expensive. We felt it was worth it, because otherwise you're left contending with street parking, which is metered. You're in a pretty prime location with access to the beach and it's a short one-mile walk to the Pier. read more

The Oceana is part of Hilton's LXR Hotels and Resorts. As I had a free night certificate expiring, my wife and I decided to stay here to spend some time in the area around NYE. The hotel is located on Ocean Ave, no direct beach access but it's a short walk. I personally fancy this end of Ocean Ave as it's not as noisy and hectic as it is around the pier. You can find free overnight parking on Montana Ave or generally north of Idaho Ave. 10 minute walk to the Promenade and free beach cruisers PROS - Staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Josh was able to get us an upgrade on our room. Caesar and Lenny were so friendly too. Their attitude and service reminds me of the effort I might put into providing 5-star service - Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the lobby. The welcome Lavender Lemonade drink was possibly the best "beverage while you wait to get checked-in" I've ever had - Rooms are very spacious - You can connect to Netflix which something I'm always looking for at hotels but so rare to find - Their restaurant Sandpiper has the best huevos rancheros I've ever had. It is expensive at about $25, but one of things I would definitely return for CONS - It's expensive for what you get - While the room we had had two large TVs, the placement really bugged me as you could not lie in bed to watch TV. I guess that's what you sacrifice for a view of the ocean - Pool closed early at 5pm. No jacuzzi but the pool is heated at 82 degrees - Amenities generally seem limited read more

Decided to do a mini getaway this week and stayed at this hotel. This hotel has been newly remodeled. The room is bright, spacious and nicely designed every corners are Instagram worthy! Staff here are super polite and professional! And the pool is small but sufficient and clean. During this time, the masks and social distancing are all required at the hotel to make sure all the guests enjoy their stay and staff's safety. Their bathroom is spacious, but seems is the piece that I think it does need more works. However, I was impressed by their fancy toiletries by bottega venetta! We enjoyed our stay so much and didn't want it to end so quick! Hopefully will be back soon! We stayed at Oceana for a valentine's day staycation, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived Becca and the staff were incredibly warm and accommodating. They gave us a room upgrade, and even brought a bed and bowls for our dog. The room was the perfect balance of beach vibes and retro luxury. For a night in, we ordered room service in our robes and slippers. The food arrived quickly and was delicious! Once we went to bed, we got to login in to our Netflix on the large tv in the bedroom from our comfy bed. The linens were soft and the pillows were perfect. There is not enough I can say to express how impressed we were with the service and accommodations!! Bravo for delivering a clean, modern quality lodging experience. Avontay was so helpful from the reservation to check in. Hana, Renee in the cafe the chef and every single encounter we had with anyone on the property was enjoyable. I'm a germaphobic and the cleanliness-exceeded my expectations, carpets spotless. Linens were quality and we felt the hotel design and furniture were high end. We can't eat to stay again and when in the area this boutique hotel will always be our 1st choice. The views, from Ocean Ave were great and we could hear the ocean. Thank You! At $800++++ a night....If you're thinking of staying here, think again. First, let me state that I have Platinum Hilton Status. So if this is how valued Hilton members with top status are treated...can you imagine if you don't have status. Here is our experience: 1) We checked in on April 30th at 2:50pm. We were told by the front desk our room was ready but it needed to be checked and that it should be 30 minutes or less. 90 minutes later we still were not in our room. I went to the front desk asking the status...and was told by the person that they would check on the status. After 15 minutes of not getting a status, I went back to the front desk and explained that my husband, who has Leukemia, needed to get into the room...as he was not well. They finally gave us a room. It should be noted that there were many people like us in the hotel lobby and around the pool area waiting for their rooms. It seems that they don't have enough housekeeping staff. 2) The rooms are very lovely...our room was actually quite charming. 3) Upon checking in, we were told that we had a $50 food and beverage credit. 4) We ordered room service. You can see from the attached bill that shows a 1) $5 delivery charge 2) A 20% gratuity charge 3) And another extra charge so that the hotel can provide health care benefits to their staff!!!! The food was good...but the charge for health care and delivery charge seemed excessive. 5) The Mini bar refrigerator was unplugged...therefore everything in it was warm. I guess the room check prior to our taking the room didn't include this. 6) We have a Tesla S. I realized that I forgot to ask the valet to charge it, so I called down and asked that it be charge. During the night, I checked the app and the car was not being charged. First thing in the morning, I called the valet and asked them please to charge the car. 7) When we were ready to leave, I called the front desk and asked them to have our car brought around. 8) Upon entering the lobby, I was approached by the valet. I told him that I called and my car was being brought around. He said he had not been informed....by the front desk and that he would bring the car around. 9) As we got into the car, I asked the valet about the charging. He said, "We doubled your mileage. You came in at 45 and we brought it up to 90." I was shocked. We had medical appointments around LA...and this was going to make our schedule very challenging. What upset me the most about this was that they didn't even ask or give me the option to pay for the charging. They assumed that this would be ok. We had to go to a Tesla charging station to get adequate miles for all our appointments. 10) An hour later, I got the bill via email. I noticed the $50 Credit for food and beverage had not been applied. I called the hotel...and was told that the $50 Credit only applied to restaurant charges not room service. I complained....and said that this was not standard operating procedure at Waldorf or the Beverly Hilton. He said, "I apologize. This is a new policy at Oceana...it is different at other Hilton properties. But I will give you $20 off." 11) Every time we walked by the front desk, someone was always there, complaining about something in the hotel. E.g., "This is not okay when you are spending $1000 per night for a room!" It is a great location and lovely rooms...but seriously that is not enough. I felt that the hotel owners were trying to nickel and dime to get every last cent out of their clients without providing the services for a property of this caliber. Oceana, what a lovely hotel. The property is situated very close to the center of everything happening in SM. Well appointed rooms with pleasing decor. The intimate dining room, with wonderful service by the staff, offers a nice selection of many delicious dishes to suit anyone's palette. Laurent Lepetit and his staff were very accommodating and gave us first class service. Love this place...my go to for a wonderful relaxing vaca and/or dining experience. Stayed here for a two day staycation and it was absolutely perfect! The remodel is super clean, fresh and new. It's a lot more peaceful than most of the hotels around because all of the rooms are apartment style with two doors looking into the main pool center. We got one of the suites and at 850 sq feet it was absolute perfection to move around and host. The furnishings were very cool and modern and every room has a cute outdoor swing. The pool was my favorite hangouts on the daybeds and pool was heated very warmly. The sunset terrace overlooked the beach side and was great for fresh air and sunsets! They even give complimentary cocktails up there from 5pm -6pm for hotel guests! Shoutout to the amazing staff who made us feel like taken care of and comfortable with their warm personalities and friendliness that was genuine. From Melody at the front desk, Ja'ime and Frankie who made sure we got ice and treats and informing us of the hotels offerings... this was a wonderful stay and you are all SO AWESOME! Overall one of the most charming stays I have. It felt like home away from home vs staying at a stuffy hotel. read more

This is a very modish boutique beach front hotel. I was impressed that they served cold lavender lemonade and fresh cookies at the main lobby while we were checking in. We stayed in the room near the bottom corner of the building. I'd wish they could have upgraded us to another floor with a beach view. But,I couldn't really make a fuss since this was a free night credit. The location is perfect with only a short walk to the Pier and tons of great restaurants. I love that they have complimentary luxury amenities includes a shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all Bottega Veneta! They also have bath slippers you can take home! read more

Such a beautiful hotel! I was so surprised to find a hotel that was in such perfect shape this close to the ocean. They must have just redone it? It's gorgeous! And the service is top notch. The rooms are a dream with fabulous decor and attention to every detail including little swings outside each door of the suites that are on the pool side. We stayed at the Oceana for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend. It is a chic boutique hotel with lots of potential. However, their operation needs some significant work to improve guest experiences First, their restaurant is very short staffed. The waitresses are super friendly and everybody is trying their best, but they definitely need more people. On Sunday, we went in at 10am and was told to order first and come back after 30 minutes because their kitchen couldn't handle all the orders. I have NEVER been to a hotel that couldn't handle guest dining (even at full occupancy). When we returned, we were seated but not given water, and only given an incomplete set of silverware (one fork but no knife). Additionally, none of the tables around us was cleaned so we just sat in this otherwise beautiful space surrounded by dirty dishes (see pictures below). Clearly, they need more staff. This experience was not unique to us either - we saw how the couple next to us had to get up and ask for their check; and another couple waited for their food for so long they asked for their food to be packed up and left. Now speaking of food, it's mediocre at best. Their avocado toast is decent but everything else we tried (frittata, farmers eggs, and hometown hero burrito) was underwhelming and unimpressive. The eggs in the burrito one day were definitely over cooked as they were bone dry and hard to swallow. Now housekeeping. We called for housekeeping when we left the hotel at 11am. When we returned at 4:30pm, we walked into the room seeing two staff sitting on the floor of our living room chatting. Lol what?! Anyways, we had to sit somewhere else in the hotel to wait for them to finish up. I understand if the hotel is busy and they couldn't get to it, but to sit around and chat in the guest room is unprofessional behavior. To summarize, we have mixed feelings about Oceana. It has the potential to be a beautiful and pleasant stay (space is bright and chic and people were generally very nice and welcoming), but we were very disappointed to say the least mostly due to operational inefficiencies that guests should not be encountering at $600 a night. read more

The rooms are nice. The service and management sucks big time. With the highest status they treat you terrible. Rooms do not have a view. It's very loud. And depending on which room you get you will hear the ac clanking all night. And no hot water! It was so annoying. read more
