1. This dark hispanic so called smog mechanic charges $20 to check the monitors, which only takes 2 minutes to do. " no other shop charges that, only thieves do." 2. He is ignorant and rude, not knowing the rules of a smog inspection. He said that he was going to fail my car because there was cracks on my gas cap. I said to him you fail it and ill car BAR to do an investigation of why it pass with no problem the time before. He got scared because he could loose his license and get fined. The only reason why I stayed was because this kid urgently needed to buy my car. People don't be afraid to speak up and mention to these mechanics/owners that you will file a complain with the BAR or the Better Business Bureau. I left a Google review, but I wanted to leave it here too! :) No appointment is needed, so I pulled up and waited for my turn to get my car smogged. Modesto was performing all smog tests for that day and he was very nice, professional, and timely! Even though there were about 5 people ahead of me, I was not there more than 40 minutes. Once my car was pulled in for the smog, it took no longer than 10-15 minutes for him to finish! Definitely recommend!!! read more
