During my pedicure, the owner inserted a metal tool that appeared to be a scalpel between my toenail and the skin on my right toe, telling me the nail "shouldn't stick." It was extremely painful. She then did the same thing on my left toe and told me that because it hurt when she inserted the tool, I had an ingrown toenail. I had never experienced an ingrown toenail and had no pain or discomfort in either toe before the pedicure. She then proceeded to remove what she said was the "ingrown" portion of my toenail without asking for my permission. The pain that first night was unbearable. I had to take ibuprofen and apply Neosporin, and within two days my toes showed signs of infection. I went to urgent care and was prescribed antibiotics. I have now spent several hundred dollars on medical care following this experience. Unfortunately, I was also extremely unhappy with my manicure. The hard gel is uneven and bulky, with visible globs of product, and the shape makes my nails and fingers look round and stubby. Even when I have worn my nails this short in the past, they have never looked like this. I came in for routine nail services and left in significant pain, ultimately needing medical treatment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would strongly caution others before receiving services here.
