It was getting late, we had a cold spell move in... so, we decided to give Oceanview a chance. The service came from Paige, behind the bar (with a semi house full of patrons), she held it together fabulously! Paige is an asset to this place, the food and drinks, accompanied alongside the service was a FULL five out of FIVE stars. Also, shoutout to Wilson, one of the fellas that works here in the evenings. Everyone from the front desk to the fella that cleans the pools, nightly. We will stay here again, and honestly, we stayed an extra night tonight due to the property and its people! FYI, the exercise room and outdoor patio are open 24/7, pool and hot tub close at 10:PM and open at 7:AM. Most places close EVERYTHING at night, this establishment is worth your stay! read more

We came for our combination Anniversary, (9/11), and my wife's Birthday. Food was excellently prepared. We had the Tempura shrimp appetizer. I had the ribeye, thinly sliced and cooked medium. It was tender, juicy and flavorful. My wife had chicken Alfredo. She said it was very tasty and tender. She had Prosecco and I had Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon. (First time. It was rather lite and Pinot Noir (ISH). Not smooth, dry, and full bodied as most Cabs. Service was good, friendly, and attentive. We sat on the patio where there was a nice ocean breeze and we could hear the waves breaking. All in All, a very nice dinner experience. It is a Marriott Hotels Restaurant so it is pricey. read more

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Must go into the Marriott first and walk to the back. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I highly recommend outdoors, even with June bugs/love bugs out in force in early May we enjoyed the privacy, plants and comfortable seats. Our waiter from Hungary was delightful. Food is worth the price, which is reasonable. Crab cake app was awesome!!! Grilled shrimp with rice was my entree. Very yummy. My girlfriends had two different pasta dishes and enjoyed them. I had really high expectations for this place. Unfortunately it didn't pan out. But it wasn't all bad. The locale and atmosphere itself are nice, the service was great and the mojitos were very, very good, but that's about where it ends. The food was just sort of meh. We only had the hummus and the chicken wings so maybe they have really spectacular things we missed out on, but if the things we had are any indication then I wouldn't get your hopes up (especially for the price). The food service continues to be poor. If you want to sit at the bar for a drink you will be fine. We ate breakfast each day we stayed at the hotel (4 days) and each time service was poor. The last morning, we ordered a muffin and coffee and it took 20 minutes to get it. The cream was curdled and I ended up getting my own coffee which was set up complementary at the hotel. I wouldn't eat there again and will choose a different hotel to stay at because of this. Although not sure if Marriott cares about this restaurant within their hotel. read more

The restaurant is inside of the Delta Hotels by Marriott. When you walk into the lobby of the hotel, just walk through to the back. The vibe is nice, it's definitely a vacation atmosphere. My friends and I are here for a fitness competition so we came back to the restaurant really hungry after a day of competing. I got the ciabatta appetizer and French fries because they were some good vegetarian options. The appetizer was pretty good. The French fries were alright but also the side of French fries is so small for the price. It's definitely the typical over-priced hotel food. There was live music which was really nice. The view is also great, you can sit with a view of the beach. The server was nice and accommodating, and our food didn't take too long after ordering but the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Newly opened in early 2018, the Oceanview Terrace Bar, located in the Delta Hotel by Marriott, boasts a tropical outdoor deck with comfortable seating, lots of palm trees, two fire tables (each with seating for four), festive path lighting that surrounds the stone paver deck, and a view across the pool area of the amazing Atlantic Ocean. Listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore as you sip your cocktail and listen to live music. Tonight's performer sounded just like John Meyer! What a treat! My fiancé and I were staying at the hotel tonight and checked Yelp for a good restaurant in the area. After deciding we were too tired to leave the hotel we decided to give this place a try. Wow, we were both glad we did. Daytona needs more places like this. Great atmosphere ON the beach and the food was really good. We decided to divide and conquer to sample both seafood and steak. She got the ginger glazed salmon with wild rice and I got a petit filet with baked potato and grilled veggies. I also added the three grilled shrimp. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the shrimp were tender and flavorful. The potato could have been a little hotter but I was hungry and didn't send it back. The veggies consisted of grilled squash and onions and had a wonderful flavor. Her salmon was delicious! The rice was a little undercooked and slightly tough but she pointed this out to the waiter and he offered her other options. She chose a garden salad that was amazing....fresh baby greens, red onion, cucumber, and tomato. I forgot to mention that we started out with a crab cake with remoulade sauce and it was one of the best I've had. Yum! For desert we ordered coffee and the death by chocolate a la mode. This is a dense chocolate cake and it came with two small scoops of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to end our meal. Gabor, our waiter, was friendly and attentive. He was knowledgeable about the menu and gave good suggestions. He also gave us a brief history of the hotel/restaurant telling us it was formerly the Acapulco but it was damaged after a hurricane and sat vacant before being purchased and renovated by Marriott and reopened as The Delta by Marriott. So, our experience here was amazing and we will certainly be back! UPDATE: We went back for breakfast Saturday morning and started with two mimosas! What a way to start the day while watching the surf as it caressed the beach. I had the eggs Benedict with was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My fiancé had an omelet which was also delish! Belgian Waffles!!! This restaurant is part of the Delta Hotels by Marriott. Stayed here for 3 days for a business trip, I ordered 2 waffles for 2 of the 3 breakfasts and I can't say I've ever tried a better Belgian waffle so far.. Not to mention, for such a small hotel the view at this restaurant is amazing. If I ever comeback here, I'd stay at this same hotel and order that wonderful waffle again, yes it's that good. read more

Food--average, nothing special, good selection/variety, especially for a hotel. Prices--on par with overpriced hotel fare. Service--as of 3 visits I've never had a bad experience. Brady at the bar has always been helpful and friendly. Whenever I stay in Daytona for work I always stay at this hotel, and have no qualms with eating in this restaurant or having a couple drinks at the bar when I'm too tired to go elsewhere. read more

We were staying at the hotel and wanted to get drinks and an appetizer before we went out to dinner. The bartender was friendly and got us our drinks and told us a server was going to be on shift soon so we could sit outside and she'd take care of us. We did so and spent 45 minutes watching her serve other tables and ignore us while we tried to flag her down. Fortunately we weren't too hungry so we ended up leaving and ate somewhere else. I imagine if I'd walked up to her and told her we'd like to order she would have obliged but if I'm not that hungry I'm not going to beg someone to serve us. I can't speak to the food since we never had any. Later that evening we were woken up at nearly midnight by the front desk because there was confusion with our bill (which was only two beers) and not our mistake. I'm appalled the hotel/restaurant would wake us up to confirm a check for two beers at midnight. read more

On a business trip, I found this hotel through Marriott, and in September, off season, it was a very pleasant peaceful dinner in a beautiful setting. I was originally disappointed by the menu, because it was so simple, and frankly, boring. I don't trust any place with "vegetable of the day" as an item on multiple menu items. It means that there just a big hot tray of the stuff out back. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and (at the suggestion of the very nice server) the 1/2 chicken. I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp were done perfectly, (not over done) the chicken was crisp and tender, and the daily veg of squash, onion and mushrooms was not over done or watery. Generally well made simple home style fare in a lovely setting. I would make the stuff differently, but it suited the relaxing vibe of the evening. read more

I had the pleasure of staying at the Delta for 7 days and used the restaurant & bar a handful of times. Each time the food was delicious, well priced and the service was great. However, the shining 5 star review is for Brady the bartender. I chose to sit at the bar and eat vs getting a table with the beautiful view because of his service. Knowledgeable on the menu, attentive and friendly. Each night he has local regulars come in just for him and it's clear why. I will stay at the Delta and come to Oceanview Terrace time and time again because of Brady. read more

We ate here a couple of years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, they have completely scaled back menu options, so much of what you see pictured on Yelp is no longer available. We had a couple of caeser salads and their nachos. Salads were fine. Nachos were disappointing - fake cheese and what appeared to be microwave chicken strips. Service was good. Bar was excellent. Worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. They were short staffed with only one chef on a busy morning, but the staff did not know how to manage their time. We ordered and it took over an hour to just receive glasses of water. Tables around us that ordered after us received their food first.
