Located in the Holiday Inn & Suites Daytona Beach on the Ocean, the Seaside Bistro and Bar was a pleasant surprise during my 4 night stay. I loved that you can sit in the patio overlooking the pool and the ocean when the weather allows for it. I took advantage of this a couple of times. I ate here at least once a day. All the dishes were generous in size, tasty and very well put together. Very well done Western Skillet Classic Cheeseburger Monterey Chicken Ham and Cheese Omelette Shout out to Milly and Kimberly who took care of me during my visits. They kept my drinks fresh (Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic) during my meals and checked on me frequently. If you're in the area and are looking for a solid American restaurant off the beaten bath, give Seaside Bistro and Bar a try and be pleasantly surprised like myself. Cheers! read more

We ordered the pita and hummus as an appetizer and was very surprised to see all the vegetables that came with it. Everything was fresh and tasty. Then we had the BBQ chicken flatbread and fish tacos for our main course. Both were very filling and tasty as well. I was surprised to see house chips with the fish tacos since it was an appetizer. We couldn't finish everything. Service was excellent as well. Ambience could have been a littler better but it is a hotel restaurant so that was expected. read more

I decided to stop in here for old time sakes and to visit an old friend, I stayed at this Holiday Inn quite a bit while traveling here on business prior to moving to Florida, this place like everywhere else had changed over time but unfortunately not for the better. I've spent a number of hours at the outside patio bar oceanside chatting with the longtime bartender Patty, who spent more than 20 years here before retiring about six months ago according to the bartender who has taken over. The menu has always been somewhat limited so I was a little surprise to see the photos that are posted, this was never something I experienced when I frequented the restaurant and bar here. Well today's experience isn't going to reinforce any fond memories of the times I spent here, there are other reasons that will but it's not going to be the food for me. The inside portion of the bar had one old drunk sitting alone that would engage anyone that would listen, he was was loud and becoming quite an annoying soul so that kind of sealed the deal for me, along with the new bartender who drink pouring skills may suffice for a bar full of conventioneers or party goers for spring break or bike week and of course the one "pay as you go" drunk who claims the Maserati in the parking lot. Three of us came here for dinner. We were seated quickly. We ordered calamari, firecracker shrimps, chicken & waffle and sirloin steak and shared. This place knows how to fry. Fried dishes were excellent- texture, density, seasoning all meeting expectations. Service was attentive and friendly. I wish waffles are more crispy and sauce for the sirloin steak is less sweet. Meat was cooked to perfection. I just thought the sauce is too sweet to my palate. I am still giving this place a 5 star because of its price. Price was very affordable for the quality of food we had. We will return and try other dishes. read more

I attended a post-high school graduation dinner here recently. The time was around 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were the ONLY people in the dining room the entire time. Our server did his best to keep our party of 12 happy. He was friendly, knowledgeable, & humorous. The food was mediocre. The dining room was nicely appointed. A path to the pool runs between the restaurant and the bar. Overall, it was a decent, mediocre experience. Not horrible, but no wow factor. My pecan encrusted fish was EXTREMELY OVERCOOKED, which left a poor impression. read more

We chose this place because of reviews of its view of the ocean but it turned out to be too chiily to sit outside so we couldn't see much except the Holiday Inn pool area. On a warm day, the view would be fine from the patio. It was early so there weren't many other customers. The bartenders/servers were friendly and attentive. I guess people don't think about eating at the poolside restaurant in a hotel but if you are in the area or staying there, this is a good option. It has a clean, modern decor, an attractive bar and an area for relaxing and watching tv. It is still a hotel restaurant, though, so it didn't quite have the Florida vacation vibe. The food was very good. I had quesadillas thatt were crisp and filled with shrimp. My husband loved the Hunters Chicken and put the mushroom sauce on his mashed potatoes. read more

We were looking for a lunch place nearby and selected Seaside Bistro (via Yelp) largely because of its proximity. Although we realized upon arrival that was inside a Holiday Inn (we normally avoid hotel restaurants) we decided to try it. There's inside and outside seating, a full bar, and varied menu. I had the shrimp scampi and it was SO good. I believe it was the BEST I have ever had! Whoever prepared it for me (March 1, 2020), deserves kudos. Yum! read more

Excellent food and service. Go early between 5 - 7 for a great special, 15.00 includes salad, entree, dessert, glass of wine. Husband had prime rib, I had grilled haddock. Mark provided service and he was very attentive and friendly. The whole meal was well prepared, and the price is excellent. We enjoyed our meal outdoors on the patio. read more

I'm definitely a fan of this place. It was very relaxing. We sat beach side and had a great dinner.

My husband and I thought we'd give this place a try. We are sorry we did. The service was adequate nothing special. I ordered Salmon my husband ordered rib eye. The steak was tough and it and the potatoes had no flavor. My salmon tasted like canned salmon. The sides had No flavor. Nice view but that is about all that was nice. read more

Went for dinner on 11/14/15 based upon the recent reviews. Our experience was very bad. From finding the silverware wrapped in a dirty napkin to forgetting our soup and salad to a cold and barely edible $ 25 ribeye with inedible day old baked potato and undercooked sides the experience was just awful. Even said that they would substitute mashed potatoes for the baked but the server never brought it. The have experienced a turnover of the staff and it shows. Not recommended. read more
