Not sure how this place gets all of the great reviews it does. Food was average at best to me. Service was super helpful and friendly however. Nothing much on the inside. Probably won't be returning with better options nearby.

Steak and sweet and spicy shrimp tacos. Not pictured: the fried cod taco I devoured before having the presence of mind to snap this photo.

I've had Jefes on my list to try for year or so now. I finally got the chance to stop by this afternoon. Mike, the owner, has been at it for a few years here after a stint learning from some of the local Vegas greats. His dedication shows--he provided great recommendations. Even a few years in? I heard him providing feedback to his cooks on how to make sure that they made the perfect entree and accompaniments to ensure a consistent experience for his customers. I started with a fried cod taco before moving on to the sweet and spicy shrimp taco and the steak taco. All were excellent! To accompany my meal I had an Abandoned Building Brewery West Coast IPA followed by the iconic Maine Lunch IPA. I'll be back!

This was a half order of chicken nachos that we had already been well into. Generous portion of guacamole on top! Delicious!

Such a great spot! I had a surprise wedding shower at Jefes. It was so cute. They food was phenomenal a tortillas were hand pressed and fresh. The guacamole was also fresh. The nachos were a hit! They had a mock tail menu, which was so nice for non-drinkers. Our server was the best. She took great care of my 14 people party and I really appreciate everything. Bathrooms were clean and private.

Shellee!! Our bartender, she was lovely

I have been about 6 times now and i feel i can give an honest great review. The food is QUALITY & Flavor, with that being said anyone who wants that realizes that typically brings smaller portions. The drinks feel fresh (and strong). Many sides come Ala carte so we have found its best to go with 2-4 folks so everyone can share a bit of each thing. I literally drive by 2 other "mexican" spots leaving my house to make my way to Jefes passing them both with no regrets to get to the good spot. The Birria on handmade corn taco is my favorite with the side consume, do it! The consume pairs awesome to dunk the yuca fries in as well. The only reasons why i gave -1 star: PARKING is horrific, there is a few spots on the street but mostly you need to park in the church lot a few doors down. At least thats what the serves say to do, no idea if its actually OK or not. The bathroom location is a bit poor, its smack dab in the middle of the restaurant..

Food: I ordered Brisket Quesadilla for lunch. It was delicious. Portions were small to my surprise but delicious nonetheless. Yuca fries were cooked to perfection, very impressive. My colleague ordered nachos which were delicious too! Time: Order was made fresh and we had our food within 10 minutes. Vibe: This place is pretty chill. I went for lunch so it wasn't packed. The bar selection looks great. Parking: I didn't see much parking. I Parker on the narrow street right next to it. Make sure to give yourself time for parking on the weekends. Overall great experience. Good quality ingredients. Will highly recommend if you're in mood for Mexican place in Plymouth.

We sat at a high top across from their small but pretty bar.

Anyone know if this place is wheelchair accessible?really looking forward to trying this place!

There are two or three standard height stone steps at the entry. Not sure if there is another ADA compliant entrance.

We often go, love to sit at the bar or outside when it's open, and we also love the bartenders and the servers. The food has been good, and we especially liked going for Happy Hour to get our favorite craft cocktails, Bar Snacks, and oysters. However, a week or so ago, the menu suddenly changed, and not for the better. The bar snacks were gone, and the menu was -- sorry to say -- dumbed down. The fantastic veggie burger (honestly, the best I've ever had) with green (bean) fries was gone, as were the trash can nachos, some of the tacos, and other specialties we were used to ordering from what was a great menu. The menu is now limited, pretty ho-hum, and unimaginative. I didn't even know what to get the last time we were there for drinks and some food. We settled on the bread and butter plate with meats and cheeses, which was okay, but not great. Some of the salads that were also go-tos of ours are now gone. We are SO disappointed. We will keep going because, honestly, we love the bartenders, servers, and the cocktails remain great. But we really won't be ordering food anymore, except for the oysters. PLEASE, bring back your better menu AND the bar snacks. I don't know why you did this, but it's not good! Please bring back the reason so many people have loved going to your restaurant, the imaginative food and menus.

Elder and Hansen were both avid homebrewers and met after they were both simultaneously hired to work for Georgetown Brewing in Seattle. Elder, originally from the East Coast, planned to return there to start his own brewery. Hansen decided to join him on the move and the business venture. Greene, a longtime craft beer lover who had worked for Google, also decided to come on board as a partner. They built a 5,000-sq-ft production facility in Scituate to house their brewing system. It was built next to a historic 19th century schoolhouse, which they repurposed as their taproom. The name "Untold" was inspired by the Maya Angelou quote, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." The brewery soon became notable for their West Coast-style IPAs, Hazy IPAs, and clean lagers. Hansen and Greene later stepped down from the brewery to pursue new projects. A secondary location opened at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham in November 2022, but closed in March 2024. An even larger secondary location opened at the Harborwalk Development at Cordage Park in Plymouth in February 2024. I recently visited Untold Brewing's Plymouth location while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers; it was actually my first visit to Plymouth. I soon realized that Plymouth has an excellent craft beer scene. Untold's taproom is spacious and inviting. They had a dozen beers on tap that day. Throughout my visit, I enjoyed pours of "Sunny Sea", "Island Kingdom", and "New England Golf Trip": all Hazy IPAs. I really enjoyed all three, which were refreshing and juicy with nice fruity notes. I paired them with a wood-fired pizza I ordered from a mobile pizza oven that was there that day. Overall, I had a great experience at Untold Brewing and I would love to visit their original Scituate location in the future!

I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

It has that cozy hometown pub feel: sports on, music playing, and a great local vibe. The staff treats you like you've been coming in for years, making you feel like a regular right away -- and that's definitely a good thing. Homemade comfort food that hits on every level, a delicious menu from top to bottom, and a drink menu that complements it perfectly. And by the way... the Guinness pours well!
