Sooo fire. I came here with 2 friends and it was such a vibe. We had a 20 min wait until a table was ready but that was no biggie since we all sat at the bar and grabbed margaritas in the meantime. The margaritas were HUGE. The pic isn't doing it justice. Also, they were all made pretty strong haha. The menu was also great for splitting purposes. We ordered the nachos for the table with guac on the side. It felt like the nachos only came with a handful of chips (keep in mind 3 of us were splitting it) but we ended up using the chips we got from the boat of chips & salsa so that was no problem for us. For a meal we got the pork tacos which comes with 3 tacos so we split that as well and each had one. Sooo good. I'd definitely reorder those next time. We couldn't leave without dessert so we got the espresso churros and they were SO good. Another menu item that came as 3 which was perfect for us to split evenly. This place is so cute!! Añejo is such a fun spot! Prior to coming to the Plymouth location, I'd actually been to Añejo on the Cape. It's one of those places that you go to half for the food and half for the vibes. Is it the most authentic Mexican food around? Nope... but it's still a fun spot with nice decor. The service is solid, but be mindful that they might not be as fast if you sit on the patio. A beautifully designed building that definitely draws attention and appeals to foot traffic. However, the service we received at 2pm on a Sunday was terrible. Our server didn't know what tequila I was trying to order, which is a little concerning considering a tequila menu is dropped at the table. She took our order and never checked on us again. Thank goodness for the server assistants who brought us water, chips, and our meals. My 22% tip was intended for them, hoping they pool. Our food arrived quickly, but we still had to wait 10 minutes for a Coke and my cocktail. Other servers were running out drinks, but ours were considerably late. This also shows a disconnect in the team's overall ability to help each other out. When we finished and I flagged down our server to ask for a box, she was visibly annoyed. I admit I can be overly critical of this stuff being in the restaurant industry myself, but I was very disappointed with the lack of care here. We enjoy visiting Plymouth but will probably not be back to Anejo. read more

What a vibe this place is! So much fun for downtown Plymouth! I went on a Friday night with my niece and there was about a 20 minute wait, but we ventured up to the upstairs bar and got drinks while we waited. The chips and salsa are amazing! We also ordered the beef taquitos, which were very tasty. My salad was the all star though. My first time here, I have not had an opportunity to have Mexican food to often I was very happy I came here. They greet you with chips and salsa. There is a large tequila selection and it is nicely decorated and the seats are spaced out so you don't feel crowded. The chicken wings came served topped with mole sauce rather than on the side; they were licking excellent. I am taking away stars because the suggested tip started with 20%. Anejo is a classy upgrade from the previous Sam Diego's! We had very quick service for a Friday at lunchtime. The complimentary salsa and chips were delicious. I ordered a mango caliente margarita. It was not that caliente, but still good. We got the anejo wings, habanero. They were DELICIOUS and spicy, but not too spicy. For lunch, I got the casa salad, which was light with crisp produce. My husband had the baja tacos that he loved (he almost ordered more). I ended with a spicy pineapple margarita that was really refreshing (but not too spicy). The service was great, and we were never rushed. For 2 meals, and Appetizer, 2 margaritas, and 3 coronas, the bill was only $100 - definitely a steal for the quality! We will be back. read more

The food was ok depending on what we had but the service was down right awful. I thought maybe it was just our experience. When talking to coworkers they all also said service was lacking. I had a dirty fork, no side plates, no drink offers for refills until we asked for the check. It was busy but still don't over seat staff who can't handle it. The fried plantains were delicious but the chicken roll ups were dry and the chicken was very hard inside. Taco trio was yummy but no sides besides pickles. Probably won't be back anytime soon. A friend and I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and we had a very pleasant experience. The waitstaff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The plantains appetizer was very yummy. I ordered the Camarones Verde, which was excellent. My friend ordered quesadillas and was very pleased with her selection. We expected some speed bumps given this is a new location, but we were pleasantly surprised with the e service. The spicy margaritas were awesome! The food was great. We got the queso to start. I loved it, but my wife wasn't a fan. This is less of a traditional dipping sauce-style queso and more of a pot of melted gooey cheese. The complimentary chips and salsa is a great touch. The food came out quickly, Mahi mahi was good, wasn't really feeling the beef tacos, but the plantains were good too; wish there was more. and the pork tacos were the best tacos I've had this year.
