Oh God. This is Olympic ice cream licking. Try ordering two scoops in a cone...in June...in 98% humidity. That my friends is a recipe for a washing machine and a nap. I tried two flavors in my trip here: chocolate peanut butter and moose tracks with peanut butter cups. Both were excellent. The staff really wasn't on board with the laid back feel of Ocracoke. They seemed rushed with the big crowd, but they didn't really communicate with one another, which left me standing there eyeing my treat and wanting to give it a good home. read more

We ordered root beer slushes, a couple mermaid Slushies, a lime and a smoothie. They made them very fast and they were delicious! The owner (I'm assuming) was a little rude at first but we weren't in there long so it's whatever (I've noticed a lot of people on this island are rude to be completely honest). I think we spent around 20.00 for all of those so the price is pretty good ! Parking was hard to find however. read more

Amazing. We were here for a good part of the day. We rented bikes - they are cheap and only go up a dollar for each hour more (I rented my bike for $11 for 3 hours Some of my friends rented go carts and had a blast as well! Afterward, we came back for amazing ice cream. The man running the place that night was very patient (as there were 5 of us) and let us try various flavors. He also gave us a little discount. Made it an enjoyable experience for us. I got the lemon (which was incredible) and the cookies and cream. Several people got the coconut ice cream and absolutely loved it. Next time I come to Ocracoke I will definitely be visiting this place again! read more

Best price for bike rentals and they have a coupon you can use for each bike. Our wait to get bikes was long. We only rented one bike and the tire kept going flat and the chain kept coming off. When we complained the person didn't seem to understand English and just said "thank you". Arggh read more

WOW. Worst service on the island. 6 yr old dropped the ball of ice cream TEETERING on her cone due to the lack of effort (and ice cream) put into her cone and the owner proceeded to explain to her that their policy is only to replace the ice cream if you are inside the building. Mind you the building cannot even fit the short line of people waiting and 100% of the seating area is outside. The situation could've completely been resolved with a smile and well wishing but we were instead faced with utter frustration and zero patience. If you enjoy low quality management and average ice cream this is the place for you! read more

The place had plenty of businesses, but handled the crowd well. You MUST try the homemade hot fudge. Absolutely mandatory. i will definitely be back... assuming I get to go to Ocracoke again. Location was perfect for walking AND driving. read more

Ice cream was good, but pretty sure they don't make it there. Standard flavors with some "special" flavors like cookies and cream and chocolate peanut butter. They also serve soft seven ice cream which my husband said was better than most. Good location in center of island. read more

Milkshakes were expertly made and the ice cream scoops were very generous. Not sure who had assisted customers in the past because the woman who waited on our group of 7 were great. Would definitely return again. read more

Slushies were syrup in a cup with little ice. Too sweet even for my kids. Threw most of it away. Ice cream better but unremarkable.

By the rude and unprofessional way they operate you'd think they're the only place to rent bikes in town. Nope. Ocracoke Island Realty and the Taco stand across from the Community Square has them too. We went in on a day it was pouring rain and was expected to the rest of the day. We wanted to pay for a 5 day rental starting the next day. He said, "We don't take reservations". We stated we didn't want a reservation, we wanted to pay him in total, and we'd pick up the bikes the next day. He said come back tonight someone might rent them today. (On this particular day the town was one giant puddle) So to potentially make another $8 total on 2 bike rentals you turn away paying customers? So when I called back to rent them the following day she (a different person) told me someone came in a few hours after us and rented the two bikes we needed. I could handle that fact, but what infuriated me and what has prompted me to review was the snotty, condescending tone she took with me when was educating me on "how things work" and "good luck". These people act like they despise the very people who keep their business afloat. Good luck, yourselves...a-hole! read more
