We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! As an aside, we drive 1.5 hours each way, just to be a part of their practice. They are THAT good.

The staff is either a team of angels or were trained by Chick Fil A. They are kind to every single person...even the ones who are surely a pain. My personal treatments were not bad, so to me it is like visiting a spa. They will bring you a warm blanket that feels like heaven and will bring snacks and treats per your request. I feel very spoiled here. The staff is meticulous about the medical details and genuinely seem to care about every single person. Some people can be jerks but they handle them with caring words and kindness. My nurses were Jean and Jenn and I would highly recommend them though everyone here is excellent at this. They are very special people and they will forever be remembered. Dr. Vanlandingham is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful with her advice. While I hope you never need to go to VCI, I hope you will remember it for you or someone you know ever is faced with a C diagnosis.

It is November as I write this and I was told the earliest appointment would be the end of March/early April. Good lord....I was asked if I could wait that long. I said no, and that was that. I was seen at the Gaskins Road office twice and had a good experience with the doctor and staff. I…read morepaid my $40 co-insuance fee prior to my leaving the office both times. My last appointment was in March, but I received a bill stating I had not paid my $40 co-pay in March. I called billing disputing the billing. As they requested, I sent a screenshot of my bank account showing the co-pay for both appointments. They never responded. I received a letter advising I have a debtors warrant filled against me. I have called billing repeatedly, requested the supervisor to call me and now they will not take my calls. If I need to go to court over this, I will expect compensation as i have proof of payments. If I were the doctors, I would have a complete audit performed on your billing department because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been double billed. It's too bad. I liked the doctor and staff but will now need to find another office.
