I used Octavios tree service in November of '21. They did great work, with reasonable prices. So I reached back out to them recently because I needed by hedges trimmed again (they grow fast). I didn't need as much work as last time, but still a decent amount. This time Octavio came out to give a bid, he took a look around and said he'd text me with a bid. He never did. I guess he wasn't interested this time? Dunno.... Fortunately there was a different tree service company in the neighborhood doing work for others and I was able to get a reasonable bid from them as well as on their schedule the very next day. Very professional! Came out for a quote the day I called. The next day, they were here on time, which is a big plus, and they were in and out within 2 hours or so!!! A couple weeks back we decided to finally pull the trigger on cutting down and removing our large, overgrown ficus tree in our front yard. When we bought the house the real estate agent said the tree would not get much bigger than it was (at that time it was barely 6 ft tall). Fast forward many years later and the trunk grew to be 10 times the original width and the branches were high above our roof. We were paying a lot each year to get it trimmed and were worried the roots would cause issues with the pipes. Called a few tree trimming/removal services on Yelp with good reviews. The first quote we got came in with a quote that was around $1K. When Eric came by (he was wearing a face mask due to the pandemic...much appreciated) to assess the job, his quote was half that price. We checked to make sure this company had a valid license/was bonded and read through many reviews. We were impressed by all the positive reviews and his responsiveness. Eric was able to get his crew in the next day. A crew of three came and got to work immediately. We watched them a bit to make sure precautions were taken since the tree was close to our garage and a window. The man cutting the branches had obvi been doing this a long time - he would get on a ladder and use a chainsaw to cut most of the way through a thick branch and when it would slowly fall, he'd support it with his hand before guiding it safely to the ground below. This was a large tree with a big trunk and these guys cut it all down, cleaned up all the branches/leaves, chipped the large pieces, and then ground the stump completely WITHIN AN HOUR. They hauled away all the debris in their truck so our front yard was left nice and tidy. Eric came by as his crew was wrapping up to check on things, speak to us, and collect a check. Overall we were super impressed with his operation. These fellas know what they're doing, get the job done professionally and efficiently, and have super reasonable pricing. We contacted Octavio's Tree Service though Yelp because our 30' carrot-wood tree had grown beyond the property line and was overhanging a neighboring yard. Eric came out to view the tree before giving a quote and maintained excellent communication throughout the job. He and his crew arrived as scheduled. After the crew of three trimmed the limbs back from the property line, Eric guided them to form the remaining canopy into a pleasing shape. The cleanup was thorough and impressive.
