Mario came over within an hour of my call to do the estimate, and gave a great price for the removal and stump grinding. They came over with the large shredder truck and stump grinder( I think the next day or within a few) and wow! is this crew is fantastic, like a well oiled machine..everyone knows their part and what the other guys are going to do. They did an absolutely great job cutting it down, hauling the large pieces to the truck or smaller pieces to the shredder, and the stump grinding was much more thorough than I thought would be included, actually nothing more needs to be done. Mario and his crew are the best! They have trimmed the trees in my yard a couple of times before, including once when I was under huge time pressure and he adjusted his schedule to work with me. Today they cut down four large trees that had planted waaay too close to the house years ago. Mario answered all of my concerns and his team was incredibly respectful of taking care of the neighbors' property. Mario even grinded some roots in my neighbors' yard and cleaned the leaves off of her roof. They ground the stumps to such an extent that I can't even tell the trees were ever there. Mario's was apparently in a contract with Southern California Edison to trim around power lines. I let them in my backyard to trim the huge California live oak, and asked if they could leave some of the bigger pieces for firewood and for grilling. The crew chief, Efren Gonzalez, agreed, and he personally instructed his crew. Efren's English was impeccable, the crew did not speak English, but I gestured and they nodded yes. Bottom line: they chipped it all, didn't leave me any, said they "forgot". No apologies. Yeah. Right. The actual work and clean up was passable, but not "top knotch". Disappointing experience, I was disrespected. Maybe they're good enough for SCE work, but I'll look elsewhere later this year when I need add'l work. read more

Anthony, Marlin& Gabino from Mario Tree Service came to our backyard in Manhattan beach and they worked together as a team so effectively, efficiently, and professionally such that within the 6 hours they safely cut a hunongous tree down, and with pure muscles they carried the pieces to their shredding vehicle that parked in front of our house, cleaned the debris in the back and the front and were quickly out of site.
