While they did not have what I was looking for, the employee that asked if I needed help directed me to a local store that may have it! He was very kind and welcoming and encouraged me to tour the garden which I did! G A R D E N It's large and super varied in plants and had many sculptures that were available for purchase too. There was even a small pond with koi fish! A very peaceful quiet place to enjoy nature, go for a walk, read a book on the various benches and tables in the garden, or hang out with a friend. E V E N T S They also have an event schedule online with sunset yoga and plant trade event but most events seem to require paid tickets. N U R S E R Y I do think the nursery was quite limited but it may be the timing of my visit? There wasn't many plant species but there was also some pots and some plants on clearance for 50%. P A R K I N G There's plenty of parking straight down along the entry driveway which is a short asphalt entry followed by what looks like decomposed granite on soil so you won't end up with muddy or soiled shoes if it's raining!

I can definitely see why it's such a popular venue for weddings. Parking is very easy with a relatively spacious lot. It's handicap friendly. The GPS instructions were accurate. Be sure to check out their social media or call their number to stay up to date on weekend closures for private events before visiting. The wedding season is around March to November. Communication for event space rentals is by email only. During the wedding season they may a little slower to reply but they always did reply eventually. For weddings they tend to book out about two years in advance for weekends. If you ask about Fridays there may be some same year availability. As a non-profit they are a relatively affordable venue. Weddings require almost full day rentals. But something else like a baby shower or memorial can be rented out by the hour with a minimum time. They require a permit to be purchased for professional photos. But it's a modest price and goes to a good cause. It's $75/hour for the photo permit and for a garden use permit like a small gathering it's $300. Walnut Creek is lucky to have such a beautiful gem. I highly recommend checking them out!

When my friends and I were deep in conversations, I forgot we were in a closed room and it felt like we were sitting at a table in a forest instead! We loved all the fun and pretty details in the woodland room. We loved the other rooms too and appreciate how we were able to walk through all of them, take pics, and play around! We loved all of the food and drinks that were served. We had blueberry scones, tea, lemonade, various finger sandwiches, salad, cheesecake, and sparkling cider. We were able to take home the leftover food and we had plenty to eat between the 6 of us. Denise is friendly and easy to communicate with both via email and in person. I'm so glad I reserved her woodland room for my bridal shower. She made the day feel so special and fun! I would recommend Pretty Tea Parties for anyone interested in doing an unforgettable get together! I hope to book with Denise again for future celebrations! :)

I attended a bridal shower where she created an unnecessary scene by yelling at two guests over their children's seating arrangements. It made everyone uncomfortable and took away from what should have been a joyful celebration. Throughout the event, every reasonable request was met with resistance, as she repeatedly insisted having things her way rather than trying to accommodate the guests. As the owner of an event venue, creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing good customer service should be a priority. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this venue.
