i moved here after living in Bellevue most of my life. I was disgusted by all of the fast food restaurants. After being told the Breakfast cafe was great, we went there to have breakfast and it was closed, so we went to Oddfellas. I love this place. Been here a few times and this last time was the best. Not sure if they have a new cook, but the food was alot better then last. Lov'n the tater tots. I had French Dip - Hubby had Cottage Pie - both were yummy. Was here on a Friday night and the place was pretty full. Had to wait about 10 min - which..not bad. Seating Hostess seemed irritated and maybe forgot that smiling not glaring at the customers is preferred - maybe just having a bad night - but our server was attentive and nice but not overbearing. Thinking we might give breakfast a try - Sunbreak across the street thinks a little highly of themselves for no good reason. read more

Great food, great beer. Awesome place to go after a show at the Auburn Ave, or just a place to hang out with friends. Breakfasts are super good, they substitute eggs with egg whites (big plus). I make a regular trip there at least once a week. Highly recommend! read more

OddFellas is definitely one of the best places in Auburn. It is a great pub, with a great menu, and a nice selection of beers. Service has always been good and the food has always been prepared correctly. My only complaint is that they don't turn on the sound for the Sounders' matches, but do for the Seahawks' games. This seems a bit out of touch with the "Irish" theme that OddFellas so proudly displays (soccer paraphernalia all over the walls). Overall, I would recommend OddFellas, especially if you're having trouble finding a decent restaurant in Auburn. read more

Came here for a late dinner - try finding anything good after 9pm in Auburn--good luck! This place is a good place to be. The service here can be hit and miss but fortunately for us it was a hit this time, and we enjoyed everything very much. The Irish nachos are a cheesy delight, and the great selection of beers on tap can satisfy almost any beer appetite. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the wait time was reasonable. Best place for breakfast in down town auburn. It's food has reliable quality and creativity. The prices are also fair for the meal that Is ordered. This place definitely beats IHOP as well as sunbreak cafe next door. read more

The food was very good. All of our group had sandwiches. I'm not a beer drinker, so I just drank pop. Server kept trying to get us to drink beer by bringing us samples. The other people I was with ended up buying beers on tap and liked them. They have a bar area and restaurant area. People had young kids in the restaurant area. Went for breakfast. Waitress was attentive and friendly. I was glad she talked about the portions and how large they were. The atmosphere was fun, there was a couple of different sports games going. Food could have been a little warmer but that would be the on;y negative thing I would say about our visit. read more

Well, we finally stopped at OF's this past Tuesday at about 5pm for a quick casual meal after a long day. A burger and a beer kind of thing sounded good. The place was pretty empty, only one other couple in the restaurant section and a handful of people in the bar. Our server asked if she could bring us something to drink and despite the extensive beer list we both ordered BudLight in bottles. About 10 minutes later she brought out 2 cans of beer with a couple of warm looking glasses. We reminded her we ordered bottles and she said "oh, we don't have those." Okay. We are Auburn-ites so we know first hand it's pretty slim pickins' when it comes to much but mediocre dining here. We hoped Oddfellas might break the cycle with some good pub comfort food. By the way, the pub is located in the Truitt building, nice looking establishment, we were optimistic to try it out. A nice star for that. Maybe it was from looking at the Irish themed menu but we ended up ordering the Fish and Chips instead for about 11.00 each. First visit, keep it simple. We were hungry and happy to see our server approach with the much touted dill dough. She dropped the basket of it on the table and left. I'd read some glowing reviews here about these doughy balls of heaven but I've gotta say the clever name and tasty jam can't make up for these dry, crumbly biscuit things. A person could be in real trouble if there wasn't a beverage to wash them down with, so I swilled my bites down with my can o' beer. May I say I think dill is a delicious herb but better left out of these biscuits, it just didn't work here. But with no dill, no funny play on words obviously. Oh well, no harm no foul, it was on the house more or less. The fish and chips were three crispy breaded filets and weren't bad just nothing special served with some fairly thin, dry, unseasoned fries. The tarter sauce was pretty tasty, I don't know if that was made from scratch or not. I guess the second star comes in for our meal which was well, kind of mediocre but not terrible. We left wishing they would get their menu, food prep and wait service issues together, the pub itself and location has a lot going for it and Auburn could sure use having a good place to eat. The reviews OF's posted on their website are glowing, maybe posted by friends or the pub has gone down hill since 2011. By the way, the inside of the pub is nice, the lighting is subdued and comfortable the way you would expect a pub to be and actually when we walked in I imagined having some extra drinks after dinner and relaxing with my husband before going home but we ended up leaving as soon as we finished eating. Maybe OF's doesn't care too much about these things since there isn't a whole lot of competition in town. It pretty much looks like the Rainbow is still the place to go for mediocre food. Awful food and services. before the change of ownership OddFellas was great. to now being owned by longhorn this place was amazing and had great food with nice service. 6-10-13 was excited to have dinner only to learn the change. Accompanied by not only my husband but as well as our daughter (7month old) we were placed in a corner booth. And while our greeter was nice our server ignored taking our order. As not only informed us he works for longhorn couldn't help with my allergies. See I'm also severely allergic to cow an pig products. And with a menu change with the new ownership wasn't sure what was safe. While he did try I suppose then tell me he understands because his mother has allergies. My husband and I were hungry so we order our old favorites we could find left among the menu change where safe for me to eat. As our hobo clams with garlic came out was with burnt bread. A cold bowl with lukewarm liquid of barely any garlic and mostly shells. Sure the shells where hot but it was met a great disappointment. Followed by our sandwich the fowl bird an tater tots. (Grilled chicken sandwich w/pickle, onion, tomato, mayo and lettuce) Both my husband and I where met with a cold plate and not only a burnt bun it tasted completely bland. But after growing up in the culinary world could obviously tell everything was previously frozen. And the before fresh from scratch tater tots was the mass produce variety now. adding their tots that had a chemical aftertaste. Including my husband whom changed frying oil for years out of fryer's. He could also could tell and agreed the oil was beyond obvious old. And to add to insult their tater tots was over cooked, cold, and full of bad oil. Last our drinks where served with a consistency of syrup and water. Root beer should not ever taste like water syrup. Also added my ice tea was weak and looked like tea but tasted of water. Overall I'm never coming back. And suggest any passionate foodies, people in hospitality, those with allergies, or culinary upbringing find someplace elsewhere to dine at. Sure off days I get but having everything come out bad and no manager or any one available to talk to or ask about potential allergy risks really pathetic hospitality. My apologies for the lengthy review but I feel this experience was not the expected hospitality food service. read more

Met my husband there last night. He bicycled in from Sumner in the rain and was grateful that they allowed him to store his bike in the back (empty) bar. He really enjoyed his two happy hour microbrews and his Gato Plato. My fish and chips were just frozen store-bought food, dropped in the hot oil. They were okay, but definitely not worth $13.95. Been here a few times. The Carlos Cuban is amazing. My husband had the cottage pie and said it was excellent. I recently tried the pub burger it was good but the fries were cold so that was disappointing. Service needs help. The good news is the flavors were good. The bad news service was bad. Hostess could careless when seating is. Only one visit to table after order. That visit delivered the meal. Warm eggs Warm bacon Cold hash browns and no toast. The toast came late like after the meal. No butter, jam no apology just here is your toast. Walked in during the day and sat down at the bar area. All the employees there noticed us walk in and sit down yet no one came over for 15 minutes. Finally! A real pub-style place in Auburn! The beer list is the best for miles around. There's almost always a couple of "Coming Soon" offerings. That tells me that the management is interested in showcasing the really fine, regionally-produced beers. The staff is extraordinarily attentive, anxious-to-please and cordial. The food isn't its strong suit, I don't think. I've had their Bangers and Mash (flooded with gravy), their pizza (not bad), their Reuben (pretty good) and their steamed clams (very, very good). But I don't go to a place like this for a gourmet experience. On the multiple after-work occasions I've been there, I've found the clientele to be respectable sorts, conversing and laughing enough to make the place feel welcoming and fun. Came here on Monday December 26th for breakfast, a few good choices. Sat in a booth w/husband. It was Very busy and understaffed. Our food seemed to take about 1/2 hr. to 45 mins. It was cold and dark. They have a gas fireplace (mid-dining) but it was not on, it should have been on just for atmosphere and to make it seem warm. Our food was luke-warm probably would have been better if they were not understaffed. The tv had the Wendy Williams show on, how depressing!! read more

Thank you Yelpers- this was a great find....hubby was starving & ordered the onion rings as a starter...crispy & yummy...way more than 2 people need as a starter. I had the Cuban sandwich & mashed potatoes....the mashed potatoes were yummy...make that fantastic...not a choice for any one on a diet...but oh so good. My sandwich was huge, the pork was tender & it was oh so yummy- I couldn't eat even half of it...but I did finish the potatoes :) Hubby had the club...WOW...it was huge. Hubby gave it two thumbs up & we both had enough leftover to make a meal for dinner - this is a good choice when in Auburn...dispite all the construction we had to deal with to get here...we will be back! read more

I have eaten at Sun Break Cafe across the street yet this morning I was craving a Bloody Mary so I opted for OddFellas. Excellent choice. The service was friendly, prompt and welcoming. The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken fried pork which was tender and the gravy over the top. The cottage fries, cut from real potatoes, not the frozen ones. All in all I enjoyed the atmosphere, food and above all the service. Much more personable and down home than Sun Break Cafe where I felt nothing but another paying customer to be hurried out to make room for another. I highly recommend OddFellas. read more

The food here is just not good. It's edible. But lacks in care and taste. This is not a place that I would want to come back to. I had the cottage pie expecting to have meat and vegetables with gravy topped with mashed potatoes. The meat and veggies were dry and had no taste and there were hardly any mashed potatoes and the gravy came in a plastic 2oz cup on the side. There was not enough gravy to fix the dryness of the dish. My husband had their Odd Dog, and it was hardly even edible because it had so much spinach in the cream cheese and no caramelized onions as it says. The Irish nachos were not bad, your basic tater tots with canned cheese and chili, not great but edible. We never had our water refilled even once the entire time we were here. Overall a disappointment because there are not a lot of quality places to eat in Auburn. Not a place I will recommend. read more
