His experience, chill vibe, and personable character make me feel that I am taken cared for and that every detail is accounted for. He doesn't just do what he is told but works with you to make sure that your vision and needs come to life. I have had compliments and even won a job interview after one of these haircuts. Have been implementing a lot of change in my life this past year and been looking for a new barber. Oddfellows had great reviews when I came across, liked the work I saw through client images and shop is located in a years long favorite area! Mike is the owner and barber that gave me my cut and I was so happy I came in. Very welcoming and calm aesthetic inside and as it's an a side street, not any walking traffic so I could relax and enjoy view out window. Mike is calm and asked questions as you can tell he's very detail oriented. He pointed issues in cut from last barber I'd had work on my hair and I appreciate the feedback and again his attention to detail. When he was done he asked if he could take a short walk around video chat f my cut so as to save under my name for next time for which I happily agreed! That move makes so much sense rather than me trying to explain my last cut to him or even expect one to remember what he did. All in all this experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be coming back. He does not support website or app booking so best to just call or text. I love this shop completely. The vibe is a wonderful 20th century old school flavor, with vintage collectables placed all around the shop. He's so wonderfully old school, in order to make an appointment, you have to call him on the telephone. Mike has owned the shop for about two years now I think and it's right around the corner from a great cigar lounge for all your cigar smoking needs. I was visiting Oddfellows because my regular barber across town was on vacation, and I need a cut. So, I felt it was okay and I wasn't cheating on him, if I were to go find someone new to cut my hair. But now, I love Mike and his shop, and I actually want to cheat on my old barber, BUT that would be wrong, and I've kept my word to my other barber, so Mike is my new "plan-B" barber and next in line to be my new permeant guy when the time comes! Oddfellows is the best barbershop in Long Beach. My regular barber at the Byrd's Nest in Newport moved up to Hollywood about six months ago. Since then I have been looking for a new one. It took a while but I finally discovered the Oddfellows Hair Society in Naples. Went in yesterday and got a perfect haircut from Mike. He's an experienced barber who really knows how to cut. He's also a really cool dude. I had no trouble booking a next-day appointment. Even when I had to reschedule for later in the afternoon, Mike was totally cool and hassle-free. The shop itself is tucked just off of 2nd Street. It's got a relaxed and comfortable vibe. The place has classic style. Mike keeps it clean and tidy. And parking is a breeze. I was able to book an appointment with Mike- simply called in and gave him a time that worked for me that day and we were set. The place looks great, the atmosphere as Mike put it has a "60s look", so there's a lot to look at while you're getting your hair cut. Mike and his son Joey are respectful and easy to talk to. I showed Mike a photo of what I desired and he was easily able to replicate it- he did even better than the photo. His price is fair for the area, and it included my favorite hot foam and hot towel treatment. Parking is the only difficulty, but it's a pleasant walk in Naples, so not a bad thing, really. They used to be in Huntington but I lost where they went after the pandemic, stumbled upon them here in Belmont and couldn't be happier!! I've been going to Mike for years! He does the best haircuts and beard trim in the galaxy. He does the perfect cut every time which is impossible to do. Never had a better haircut and have always been impressed with the service. He starts with asking how you want your haircut done and then does exactly what you want and better! His experience is unmatched and he can make any mortal man into a super hero. My wife, friends and family always comment on my hair after mike cuts it and say how handsome I look. Like they can really tell I've been transformed. After he does the full hook up on the hair- he trims the beard and you get a razor shave with warm shaving cream old school style. I think he uses a Japanese blade. He finishes up the experience with a hot towel and magic scented after shave. For guys it's a like a day at the spa. Joey is the guy who cuts my hair. He's already got it down. I would say he's the best but his father (Mike) operates another chair and he's never cut my hair.
