This location allows you to book it out for a private party! You're allowed to bring your own food and drinks, and their ice cream is unlimited. However, it only applies to the scoops, soft serve, and ice cream bars. Floats and fancier menu items are not included. I wish they had more than one soft serve flavor prepared, but I was happy that there was a good amount of ice cream scoop flavors available. They actually ran out of metal spoons because I was trying almost all of the ice cream flavors. The strawberry flavor was very safe but yummy (it's hard to get it wrong). Sea salt pistachio was a nice twist on pistachio. The Italian cookie crumble reminded me of 7 layer cookies. The vegan ice cream flavors weren't bad! All in all, a fun private party experience. read more

When I heard about the Breast Milk Ice cream collab that they were having with Frida, I had to come by. I'm an open-minded guy so I'm totally into trying anything and most of us HAVE had breast milk before, we just don't remember it lol (infancy). So, I figure why not try it now haha, even if there's no actual breast milk in it (the flavor is made to TASTE like breast milk but does not contain any of it). There was a bit of a wait, but when I got in, they basically made my cone immediately because most of the people were on line to try it haha. That being said, I did notice that the person in front of me got basically two heaping scoops ( one to put into the cone, one to top it) while I got one semi-mediocre one. Tasting the ice cream itself, honestly, it's really not weird at all! It's like vanilla mixed with buttered popcorn. Just a tiny bit salty, nutty, and buttery, really not that unusual. Overall, pretty good ice cream, though hopefully I can get a better.... scoop next time? xD read more

I've always wanted to try Odd Fellows because of their variety of unique flavors! When I came with a friend, they were promoting their collab with Frida, selling "Breast Milk" ice cream. With a huge truck labeled "breast milk" stationed outside the store, the little corner ice cream shop was also decked out with merch for their collab. We got a float with 6 flavors: Breast Milk, Coconut Mango Sticky Rice (vegan), Grasshopper (vegan), Strawberry Jam, Ube Marshmallow, and Banana S'mores. The Breast Milk ice cream was not made with real human breast milk--just made to taste like the liquid gold. It was eggy, creamy, smooth, buttery, rich, with a tiny bit of salt. It tasted like egg tarts to me. My friend really liked it, but I thought it was okay. The Coconut Mango Sticky Rice was my favorite. It was very refreshing, creamy with a strong mango flavored swirl, but it did become a bit too sweet over time and I wasn't a fan of the mochi globs. The Grasshopper was a chocolate-based ice cream with Oreos--not bad, not great, just solid. The Strawberry Jam was strongly artificial, and the Ube Marshmallow didn't taste like Ube to me. Banana S'mores was okay; it had good textural components, but too much artificial banana. Overall, you can taste the high quality ingredients they used to make the ice cream, and I love how unique the flavors are. Also, I could not tell that the vegan ice cream flavors were vegan as they were incredibly creamy. While many of the flavors were a bit too sweet for me or just not my cup of tea, I would definitely recommend Odd Fellows for anyone to give it a try :-) read more

This might be the best ice cream shop I have ever been to. Usually, I like only one or two flavors at an ice cream parlor but this shop didn't stop at just one or two. We ended up getting two small cups of ice cream because we picked the first flavor we tried without seeing the other options out there. The first flavor we tried was the vegan coconut mango sticky rice. I didn't expect to like vegan ice cream so much! The chewy rice mochi in this ice cream really, really brought an authentic and textured feel to the ice cream. The second flavor was hard to choose from. The guy up front was friendly enough to let me try every flavor I wanted. Even the vanilla sprinkles ice cream tasted unbelievable. I ended up getting the coffee crunch. I really liked how the coffee wasn't overpowering and that it had chocolate piece all over the scoop. read more

First time at this local chain. Smelt the waffle cone while walking the east river pier. Saw they have strawberry matcha and decided to take a cone to go. Decent prices with a variety of flavors. They have a water closet for costumers only. Dine in and patio seating with retro art decor. Great for those warm days and afternoons. The staff are nice and will help with samples but the flavors are solid. Beware the waffle cones don't have a closing sometimes. You might have to ask the staff to make a fresh one with a closed bottom or a cup for dripping ice cream. read more

Really delicious spot for classic and novel flavors! The service is friendly and fast, and I appreciate they have small metal spoons for people to try ice-cream instead of single-use plastic spoons. This location is nice as it's right by the waterfront and Manhattan / Brooklyn bridge, so you can enjoy your ice cream outside! I came in the summer and was immediately drawn to their seasonal flavor: mango coconut sticky rice. It was super creamy and the coconut flavors really popped, though I wish the mango featured more prominently. A single scoop was a bit pricey, so this is definitely a spot to treat yourself (and for me, likely a spot to try any novel seasonal flavors). I would definitely come again! read more

Beware of their mobile food trucks operating near the DUMBO waterfront! They practice extreme predatory pricing and outright scam customers. They charged me an outrageous $26 for 5 small bottles of Poland Spring water and deliberately concealed the prices until after scanning my card. When I immediately noticed the charge and requested a refund right there, the employee flatly refused, became aggressively hostile, and started screaming vulgar language at us. To make it worse, he then tried to offer me unofficial cash ($5, then $10) just to make me leave. Completely shady, illegal business practices and abusive behavior. Avoid their trucks! read more

This ice cream shop is solid. I enjoyed a scoop of the chocolate Brooklyn black out. The staff is really nice especially when they're dealing with a diverse commanding crowd. I like the benches in front it feels really good when the breeze hits. read more

As a lover of unique ice cream flavors, I'd been wanting to try OddFellows Ice Cream Co. for a while. This location wasn't busy on a Sunday (late) afternoon. The interior had red and white striped walls, a large lit up sign, and some seating. Most of the flavors were tamer than I had expected, and some of them had run out by that point in the day. My sister and I chose the Miso Cherry, and got a small cup to share. I really liked it, especially with the real pieces of cherry mixed in. My boyfriend said it tasted like someone had spilled soy sauce into ice cream, but inventive flavors aren't for everyone. Would definitely return to try more! read more

Keepin it real out here in Dumbo My first time trying this expensive ice cream, actually we got it for our photoshoot, unfortunately dropped it before i had a chance to even try it. The workers were super cool and hooked us up with another scoop, that def made the ice cream taste better. The ice cream actually tasted great. I can appreciate all the classic & unique flavors. I really enjoyed this small ice cream parlor. I stopped in after a long day of taking portraits in the area. It had been awhile since I stepped foot in Dumbo. But glad I did. A cute little story near the brooklyn bridge with a lot of unique flavors. I tested the banofee pie (my second favorite I enjoyed the banana and graham cracker flavors), the miso peanut butter ( really good and rich but I didn't want more than one taste of it since it was so rich) and the vegan coconut mochi mango (really good and the one I chose for a scoop! Got a little too sweet at the end) Prices are definitely a little steep and it was wild to me that the soft serve cost more than a scoop. read more

After sampling quite a few flavors, we went with the banoffee pie and coconut mango sticky rice. Banoffee pie was sweet and creamy and tasted like bananas, and the coconut mango sticky rice had chewy bits of mochi (?) that added to the texture. read more

The staff was really friendly allowing us to try a few flavors before deciding on our order. We got the brown sugar frappe flavor which was a flavor of the day and it did not disappoint. There are so many unique flavors to choose from that there's no way to go wrong. This location is also great right next to the park so you can get ice cream and sit by the water with a great view of Manhattan. read more

Not my favorite specialty ice cream place. It was not busy when we got there so we chatted with the employee (Luna?) about their ice cream offerings and ice cream in general. We had the tales marshmallow skies and the green hills of Pandan, two of the flavors part of the Sonic collaboration. About $14 for two smalls. The small was a lot for me but I think it's because they were too sweet. read more

Just got 3 ice creams after ordering four, for four people. No phone call, no effort on their end by any means - cancelled part of the order and sent the 3 they had, without the cones we ordered and when I called they just explained that they took care of it online or whatever. So pathetic, living in dumbo is a sham these days - oddfellows is representative of that. Lame. Never again. read more

Lovely little ice cream shop that served quality ice cream with a good variety of flavors! They're known for their quirky, unique flavors that rotate. I suggest checking in advance if they have flavors you might like since sometimes the flavors are sooo unusual that not a single one tickles my fancy and wasn't worth the trip over. There's some seating inside and the service is always pleasant and quick. The queue can get long, especially if people are trying lots of flavors before ordering. read more

After dinner, I wanted some ice cream & oddfellows was right across the street! There wasn't too big of a line so I decided to step in! The inside is pretty spacious, there are tables if you want to sit down & enjoy your ice cream right away! There were 2 workers - one scooping ice cream & the other was at the cashier but it was going pretty quick! One thing I noticed that I really liked was that the worker scooping ice cream changed his gloves every time!!! So now let's get to the GOOD STUFF, I got the flavor lamington which is chocolate ice cream, coconut flake & yellow cake pieces - I LOVED IT. We also tried matcha green tea ice cream & the exotic fruit sorbet (made with mango, passion fruit, guava & banana). I believe a single scoop was around $6 which wasn't too bad! The flavors here are so unique. The fluffy peanut butter flavor was delicious and they had the perfect ratio of peanut butter to ice cream. TLDR: Frosé? Say no more. Pretty fire ice cream I will def be coming back. OddFellows more liek GoodFellows, I had such a good time here I didn't even take photos of what I got, just straight vibes. s/o to all the staff there esp my boy, (I forgot his name I want to say Kundzi? I did a quick Yelp search before entering so I knew they had some pretty interesting flavors but I was still surprised by the selection! Immediately, my homeboy knew I didn't know what to get and suggested the Frosé. Let me just tell you now that the Strawberry Peach Frose was the MVP of the hour. I came in wanting ice cream but he was really selling me on this Frose as he always does apparently (which good call). So I ended up getting what I felt like was a slightly overpriced alcoholic slushie that was about 6 oz. My guy, it was so good. It was worth it and it "hit" the spot. Like it really hit. The flavors were fantastic and was so scrumptious for a hot day. I did in fact have two. Olive Oil Ice Cream: 5/5 An unsung hero! I would've gotten this if I really didn't want the slushie but I also did not bring lactaid so I only had a few bites of my friend but it was delicious. Don't get me wrong it definitely tastes like Olive oil no doubt but the vanilla with it too made it subtle yet present yet not overpowering. One of the other employees said that she even drizzles more on there so if you have some spare olive oil in your bag you can also try that. My friend and I also dipped a scoop of it into our Frose and I swear it tasted like the best creamsicle you could have. COVID: Must have vaccine card to dine in! Vibes: 5/5 The staff were so nice and were bopping with us. It was such a vibe. I'll stop rambling but I will say I had way too good of a time at an Ice Cream shop. OddFellows was born from odd pregnancy cravings. The wife of one of the creators wanted savory ice cream she couldn't find anywhere in stores. So her husband contacted a chef friend, and OddFellows emerged. The original shop is in Williamsburg, but they are now so successful that they are in other parts of NYC and several other states, and ship through GoldBelly. I've had tons of flavors and I'm always excited to see what they do next. The buttery, velvety olive oil (it's good, I swear!). The crunchy, candy-filled or chocolate-filled bodega collection. Pistachio cardamom is another favorite of ours. They have a cake & pie collection (key lime, ricotta lemon sponge cake, and more). They have some that are more like fruity sherbet (exotic fruits). They also have a classics collection for those less adventurous (vanilla, chocolate, cookies & milk). They do a lot of fun celeb collaborations. ODB is their newest one and I'm excited to try it! The ice cream/ingredients are high quality. Creamy. Rich. Luxurious. You can't find them anywhere else. And if you can't get to a brick and mortar store, they arrive to your door fast, fresh, and frozen from GoldBelly. read more

I came across the shop while exploring Dumbo with my friend. Upon looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the unique selection of flavors. I love ice cream and trying new flavor combinations to see how well they work, so when I walked past the shop, I knew I had to stop inside. I ordered a small cup of the Matcha Rocky Road because it combines two flavors that I absolutely love into one. It was good but not amazing. The ice cream was thick and creamy, there was a good amount of matcha flavor, and the almonds are thinly sliced inside the ice cream-- not too big but noticeable enough to still added a nice texture contrast. Although I appreciate the unique flavors they offer, and I definitely want to try more, I would have liked for their ice cream to be fresher and homemade in the shop because there were a few ice chips from freezer burn in my ice cream. Overall, OddFellows offers unique ice cream flavors that definitely make it worth visiting; however, I would have liked to see fresh-made ice cream from them, especially for the relatively high price. read more

The flight is definitely worth it since it's less than double the price of a single scoop. The flavors are adventurous but can come a little too sweet and you can get tired of the flavor quickly. The place is really clean and a great place to hang out. However, it was a particularly cold day and we were waiting 30+ mins outside because there was a vague break time sign that didn't indicate how long the break would be. The employee also saw us waiting outside on his way in but instead of asking us to sit inside and wait a little longer, they let us stand outside for another 20 mins. Worst part is there was more than one employee working and they were both just in the back room while we froze outside. read more

Decent sized ice cream shop near the water, so a really convenient location to stop by at on a hotter day. Unfortunately, many other people had the same idea, and the store was absolutely packed. It took ~20 minutes to get a scoop! I got a coffee and pecan crunch ice cream, and it was good. Strong coffee flavor which was great, and the pecans added a nice crunch. I do wish there were a lot more pecans though. Overall, not super special ice cream, and since it's such a good location, I expect the wait to always be pretty long! read more

This store can get very crowded sometimes, especially during the summer (not surprising given their prime location), but it's worth the wait for their incredible ice cream and interesting flavor selection. My current favorite is the exotic fruits sorbet (mango, guava, banana, and passion fruit), but they always have plenty of different flavors to choose from, both dairy/egg ice creams and vegan options. There are a lot of ice cream spots in this part of Brooklyn, but I usually end up here. read more

Ice cream cup, one scoop green tea $7.50 It has a very alluring aesthetic food appeal to my eye for the swirls heap in a large, towering mound above the cup ream line. It does have the standard hollow center, but not a large circumference unlike most soft serve ice cream competitor businesses. I find the gargantuan hollow center to be flagrantly egregious cheating and scamming customers for quantity and quality. Aesthetic food appeal for the facade attract customer attention, but can businesses focus on taste, quantity and quality for filling the interior especially at a extortionate price of $7.50? My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

I recently visited OddFellows on a weekend, which is conveniently located near the ferry. It's not easy to find kid-friendly ice cream flavor spots in the area, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was only one person scooping ice cream, resulting in a long line of customers. Despite the friendly staff, I couldn't help but be concerned about hygiene practices. I noticed that the ice cream cones were not wrapped in paper or provided with a napkin. Although the person serving wore gloves, there was still a possibility of cross-contamination if they touched other items before handling the cones. Additionally, customers didn't have the opportunity to wash their hands before touching the cones either. Taking these observations into account, I decided to order cups of ice cream for myself and my kids instead. Despite my concerns, the 3 ice cream flavors tasted delicious. I opted for the vegan option called the grasshopper, and it tasted remarkably similar to a Girl Scout mint chocolate cookie. I took a small bite of the dairy ice creams called strawberry and cookie and cream. The ambiance at OddFellows was quiet, and there were seating options for those who wanted to enjoy their ice cream on-site or take it to go. OddFellows only has one restroom available, which requires a code to access. Additionally, they offer the option to purchase alcoholic drinks. I really hope that OddFellows can make some improvements because it was quite disappointing to not have the option of getting ice cream in cones. Personally, I love cones, and it was particularly disheartening for my kids who were sad about not being able to enjoy their ice cream in a cone. It would have been great if they had offered samples of their ice cream, but I understand that it might not have been feasible due to the busy nature of the establishment. Providing samples could have potentially prolonged the wait time for customers, so it's understandable why they didn't offer them in that situation.
