Scope of Work I hired Joe to install 4 TVs and 4 soundbars in my brand-new home. The project began on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, and even after a week of work, he left the job incomplete. Months later, the situation remains unresolved, with Joe owing me money for unfinished work. He initially promised to pay me back but has been avoiding my calls for the last 4 months, showing no intention of honoring his commitment. Professionalism and Work Ethic Joe's behavior throughout the project was completely unprofessional. He averaged only 1 TV mounted per day, citing excuses such as "other clients" or "dinner time" and leaving as early as 3 p.m. daily. His repeated delays and inability to focus on completing the task were completely unacceptable. When I didn't have the correct TV mount on hand (an oversight I promptly resolved by running to Best Buy within 30 minutes), he chose not to proceed with any other work. Instead, he idled, wasting valuable time and showing a complete lack of initiative or respect for the project schedule. Additionally, his frequent cigarette breaks caused my brand-new home to reek of smoke. This was not only unprofessional but incredibly disrespectful, particularly given the condition and value of my newly constructed home. Damage and Financial Impact Joe caused significant damage to the drywall in multiple areas of my home while attempting to install the TVs and soundbars. For a brand-new home, this kind of carelessness is unacceptable and has left me with additional costs to repair the damage. Furthermore, he demanded full payment upfront before completing the work, which is highly unusual and puts clients in a vulnerable position. Despite paying him in good faith, he left the project incomplete and continues to ignore all my attempts to resolve the situation. He owes me money for the work he failed to finish, and after 4 months of empty promises, it's clear he has no intention of reimbursing me. Recommendation In summary, my experience with TV Mount Now and Joe has been a nightmare. From unprofessional behavior, unnecessary delays, and careless damage to my home to his refusal to honor his financial commitments, this service has been a complete failure. I strongly urge anyone considering his services to look elsewhere. After an awful experience with Geek Squad where I ended up cancelling their appointment due to them not having their act together, I did a search and found these guys via Google. I called them mid morning - They took all of my information, asked really direct questions to get the information they needed, and quoted me a fair price (about $80 less than what Geek Squad wanted to charge me), which is exactly what I ended up paying, so no hidden fees were involved. Within a half hour of hanging up, I got an email from one of their techs asking if I was still free at 3:00 that day. I said yes, and asked if he could get there about 10 after, and he seemed happy to oblige. Patrick was awesome. He was really thorough in looking over the sound system, and was able to fix it, as well as configure it so that we could use it with our Smart TV apps. He even ran out to get a wire he needed, and fixed our outside deck speakers. He programmed our remote so that everything was accessible there, and so that if something were to get messed up again, it was easy to reset to the correct settings. He spent at least 3 hours working on things. On top of that, he was super friendly, and didn't seem to mind my dog sneaking over to try to cuddle with him and give him kisses (despite my efforts to keep her outside of his personal space). He spent some time with me doing a 'How to' and answering my questions before he left as well. On time, thorough, helpful, and friendly = great service. I really appreciated that they stayed true to the cost they quoted me, and that they were able to come out same day to resolve my issue. Would definitely recommend them and will plan to use them if I have any other issues!
