I'm giving a five star because I sincerely appreciate and care for the good folks at Odonnell Honda as they have earned my trust and have taken great care of my baby. I've been reluctant to add this review, but every time I drive my car I get flashbacks about the undesirable interaction I had with the "Assistant Manager" Steve who was very dismissive and borderline hostile for reasons I can't explain. One of my regular/preferred service advisors (Zoe) Manny wasn't available to sell me four tires that I needed for state inspection, so he referred me to his manager Steve who called me after I dropped the car off about a safety related part I needed in addition to the four tires. I agreed to what he suggested then picked up the car then realized that my baby had a terrible chopping sound and vibrates vigorously when going over 40mph. When I finally had the chance to take the car back to tell Steve of my concerns; Steve showed no concerns as he dismissed everything I said and added that the sound and vibration I felt was in my head. He got a mechanic to test drive with me and he suggested that I get new wheel bearing which I agreed to. Unfortunately all the problems and concerns persisted which prompted me to take my car back there a third time; then Steve got the shop steward to test drive with me and realized one of the four new tires Steve sold me was defected. He replaced it and the car went back to its somewhat normal condition. After all said and done, I realized that I was down $2,328.84 and wondered if I got bamboozled by Steve or he and his mechanic simply didn't know any better. More concerning, what else Steve and his mechanic may have ruined in my car that will eventually be a problem later. Ultimately, I will not let this terrible experience ruin the trust and relationship I've built with this shop. Steve needs to understand finding a place that's trustworthy and care for their customers/guests best interests is more valuable than gold and extremely hard to find. I've referred friends and family to Odonnell Honda, and I've traveled from PA sometimes to take my baby to Odonnell Honda for service because I need that peace of mind when my service advisor tells me something about my car. As a resolution, I kindly request for me and my car to go no where near Steve and his mechanic moving forward. I have no choice but to eat the financial loss despite every penny I have; I've earned with my own blood. Please keep me away from Steve & his mechanic!!! read more

Update - I received a refund for my car's incorrect diagnosis received 10/07/25 after I complained to management that I was able to fix it myself. The check arrived on 11/01/25. O'Donnell's Honda in Ellicott City did try to correct their error. read more

I'm writing as a longtime customer who has always appreciated the quality of service of this dealership provided--until a recent unfortunate experience. During my last visit, I was assisted by a service advisor first name start with "I" Unfortunately, I found his attitude dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was refused- with an attitude something I've never experienced before at your location. I left feeling disrespected and almost as if my name or accent played a role in how I was treated. This is not the kind of service I expect after driving 45 minutes to a dealership I've trusted for years. You have other excellent service advisors I'd be happy to continue working with, but I will not return if first name initial starts with "I" is involved in my service experience. Diehard Honda fan and gearhead through and through. Manny at Odonell Honda in the service department did me and my manual transmission Honda right! My parking break sensor went off late on Friday evening and he listened to my diagnosis and promised to assist me first thing Saturday morning. Odonell Honda immediately found and fixed the issue at a very reasonable cost and salvaged my weekend with my kids! The service department gave them Pokemon cards and they had hot chocolate and used the wifi while we waited. I love my Honda, and I'm a fan of Odonnell. I'll be back to buy my next Honda! Also, I called another Honda dealership in Clarksville and they gave me the script without listening to my problem. Don't give me the "run diagnostics and 99 point inspection" spiel. read more

12/15/21 Review for Service: I received a coupon via email for a free synthetic oil change for my first service. Tire rotation is also recommended every 7,500 miles so I had that done for $19.95. It was my first visit to the Service Center. When you arrive, you pull forward into one of the two service lanes, then take your keys inside to sign in. I was informed it would take about an hour. It is only walk-in for oil changes. It would be more convenient if an appointment could be scheduled for logistical purposes. My husband and I went to lunch and came back. I didn't keep track of the time so not sure if we came back too early or they were done a tad later than we were told. Either way it was about an hour to service. When I went in to check on the status, I was informed that they were in the process of rotating the tires. When they were done, I received a phone call while sitting in the waiting room saying that my car was ready. Service was completed according to the work order and receipt. They provide a complimentary car wash for every service, which is nice. They also provide complimentary wifi, snacks, coffee, and a shuttle within 10 miles. My only critique about my visit is that a water bottle was left on my passenger seat that didn't belong to me. I know oversights happen so no big deal. Overall, I had a good experience. --------------------------------------------- On a side note, I was shocked to see how low the inventory was on the car lot. When I was car shopping back in April, it was completely full. I definitely purchased my car at the right time. I love my CR-V and am so happy with my purchase. read more

0 star if possible. We called to schedule warranty service on our Honda less than 2 years old. After O'Donell Honda Service got our year/make/model info; they asked if we purchased it there. When we answered: "No," they immediately said they can't service us. We KNOW this is not right. ANY Honda dealership should be able to service regardless of where you purchased it! THIS experience was EXTREMELY off-putting and disappointing/upsetting. We shouldn't have been turned away! read more

***MILITARY BEWARE*** Leaders - DO NOT LET YOUR SERVICE MEMBERS BUY FROM HERE Tried negotiating some prices on a new Honda Pilot for my growing family. After the initial worksheet came out, I asked if they offer any military discounts or incentives. My salesman then walked back to finance and came back with a new worksheet. The finance team added a $500 military discount, which I thought was generous. I compared the monthly payment from the previous number and noticed that there was negligible change. After reviewing the previous sheet, I noticed they added almost $400 to the price of the car to make up for the military "discount" they provided. When I asked the salesman about it he tried to laugh it off and his faced looked nervous like he was caught. He knew what was happening. They offered $4000 less than Carmax and Toyota for my trade as well. The salesman told me that I didn't want an EX-L and I would need a higher trim package. The vehicle they showed me was well over MSRP and were very eager to take advantage of me. Needless to say, they do not respect their customers, much less Service Members, and this dealership should be BLACK LISTED from all local military base Commanders. I understand that this is a business and they need to make money, but this was a disgusting interaction with an aggressive attempt at taking advantage of someone and their family. I found a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited online at O'Donnell Honda. I called the dealership and Musa answered the phone. I asked him what his dealership's additional fees were beyond the online price and he told me there was an $800 dealer fee and then tax and tags/reg. I was expecting those fees as it is what was represented in the listing of the car. I told Musa I would be there shortly and he told me he'd have the car ready. I arrived with my teenage son who would be the primary driver the car. Musa handed us the keys and pointed us to the car that already had the dealer tags affixed. He took my license to copy and when he came back he brought us a copy of he CarFax. He told my son and I to take our time looking the car over and to feel free to take it on a liberal test drive, which we did. The car had been well detailed by the dealership, nice and clean inside and out. The car was great and we decided to buy it. When we got back Musa was at his desk working with another customer. He asked us to have a seat for a few and quickly got us a couple of waters. He finished up with the other customer and we moved to his desk to work out pricing for the car. He presented me with a price that had already been discounted a few hundred from the web price. I asked for a lower price. He went to talk to the sales manager and quickly came back with a price offer that was about half way between the dealer's original price and the price I requested. I found the new price offer acceptable as it was a very good price based on what I had been researching online. I was paying cash for the car and Musa moved us back over to the waiting area and said he'd get the paperwork put together. I expected it to take 30 or more minutes but it only took about 15 minutes. We quickly signed the documents and that was it. I had to leave the car since my son only has his learners and Musa said that was no problem. We returned in about an hour to get the car and it was ready to go with the temp tags on it. After we got the car home we drove it a few times over the next few days. My wife had been away when we bought it and when she got back, she asked for the keys so she could give it a drive. She went out to the garage but came back a few minutes later saying the key didn't work (car has pushbutton start and there was a message in the display saying "no key"). After some trouble shooting, I felt pretty confident the problem was actually a dead battery. I called Moussa and he apologized and quickly transferred me to Cathy in service to make an appointment to bring in the car. When I dropped the car off Cathy said they were really busy so they couldn't look at it right away (which I didn't expect anyway) and told me that they would do their best to get to it the next day. Cathy called me around noon the next day and said the problem was indeed the battery and that they had replaced it. I went in later that day to get the car and while I was given a receipt, I paid nothing. Cathy had been very pleasant and helpful and the service department did what they said. I hadn't purchased a car since 2019 and like many, I have always found the car buying experience to come along with an element of skeeziness - hard selling salespeople, pressing sales managers, upselling finance guys, etc. (you know, the $4K warranty they tell you about after you're ready to buy). But I have to honestly say that I don't think I've had a better car buying experience. I know I paid cash and therefore didn't have the dreaded "finance guy" interaction, but everyone at O'Donnell was good to deal with. Moussa didn't ever pressure me, he and the sales staff simply provided professional service and handled the paperwork in record time. Cathy in service was great too. I was impressed that they just fixed the battery and didn't try to get me to pay anything. So kudos to O'Donnell Honda for be a professional business to deal with. I'm sure the used car business is not the easiest business to be in, but I felt like I was dealing with people that had scruples and skill and it made a real difference. read more

My initial encounter was with Rob Jacobson and that was the worst experience I've ever had when dealing with a dealer. Rob was rude and dismissive And I walked out. However, subsequently I dealt with Christine Dinatale and Sayed Ali Tagoe and they earned an outstanding rating from me. Both of them rate 5 stars. The only other concern I have is with the conflicting information on the features Honda Motor Corporation Publishes on their website. The features for my specific vehicle states that the premium radio I have is XM capable; however, it is not. This factually is false advertisement on their part not the dealer's. read more

Bought a 2020 Accord 2.0 from this dealer the salesperson was great, a guy named Musa. Now where the issue starts. First day of having the car it has trouble starting up. I bring it in. They don't find nothing wrong with it.but the issue persists. I bring it in again because why is a car i just bought giving me issues. Its under the Certified pre-owned. I left it with them for a WEEK. they change the Fuel pump. Guess what, the issue still persists. I leave a bad review in a email they sent base of my experience because i was having a bad experience with this honda. Guess what? Because of the bad review they REFUSED to try to help fix my car. I talked to the Manager of the dealership. The guy straight up told me i was BANNED from the dealer because i gave a low rating on a email THEY sent me. UNBELIEVABLE . I would not recommend this honda dealership to anyone. I believe the only reason they have good reviews is because they ban anyone that doesn't have a good experience. read more

Worst dealer service department. Problem with unfinished work and repeated returns for the same issue. Dealers 2 service supervisors and general manager refused to ensure and be accountabl. Repeated promises car would be ready by end of the day and then repeatedly asked to keep vehicle additional days refused to accept accountability. When I brought issues to them, the Dealer Service Supervisors acted as though they were the customers/clients by twisting the issue and dismissing reason. Both supervisors are poor managers and at least one should be replaced to have at least one (new) person of integrity in charge. read more

I bought a used 2022 civic And the salesman had no personality. And didn't inform me of anything that was going on in the process. He walked out drove the car away and came back without saying a word to me. I later found out it was going to get cleaned before I took it. While I was in there another used car salesman mark sweeney was on his computer looking at naked and half naked girls on his computer right in front of the sales manager office with my wife and kid in the room. Better this experience since I tried to get an oil change on Saturday 11/23/24 and was told I couldn't get it done under the warranty because my car indicator wasn't on. My oil level was at 30%. My oil level this time was at 20% but my indicator wasn't on. I was told I couldn't have the oil changed under the warranty. They did it very swiftly and plugged my tire. read more

My wife purchases a 2024 Honda HrV at Odonnell in November 2024 with promise of free oil change. She brought the car back for oil change twice, once around 5,000 miles and again with 9,000 miles and both time, the service center refused to change oil because the computer on the car indicated that the oil life was above 20 percent. (I then changed it myself) When it finally reached 20 percent she took the car to the service center for an oil change. She sat there for 2 hours. After O'Donnell finished the oil change, they charged her $84 because the odometer had over 12,000 miles on it. When she quest why she was being charged, Jordan Dorsey, service advisor, made the excuse that he was just doing what the computer told him. She will never bring her car to O'Donnell for service again. If O'Donnell would rip a customer off on a small matter such as an oil change, one can only imagine how many unnecessary repair's O'Donnell might perform to boost their profit. Scammed! read more

Since we live 2 hours away from Ellicott City in Maryland, we planned a test drive. We drove up and met Mr. Mohammed at 10:30 am.
