If you are looking for a boat cruise in San Diego, you want this one!! I booked the party boat with several girlfriends for my bachelorette. Captain Fletcher made the booking process a breeze, answering questions and providing us with all the info we needed. On the day of, we had Captain Tyler and Alex. They were the best!! This was the absolute highlight of the weekend. The boat was awesome - very spacious with a bathroom, they set up a floating dock and had a paddle board. Captain Tyler and Alex were attentive throughout making sure we had drinks, captured photos, gave us jackets when it got cold. Couldn't recommend Odyssea more! We had the absolute best experience with Fletcher and his instructors Annie and Trevor. My fiance got his open water dive certification and I did the refresher course. Annie, Trevor and Fletcher all had such good pointers and knowledge that we feel set up for immediate success! Upon our first meeting, we knew we were in the best hands. The crew is so knowledgeable, professional, friendly, outgoing, happy to go above and beyond in everything they do, and just freakin awesome! Fletcher was extremely organized and we felt comfortable the entire process. The pool sessions were straightforward and we were the only class there in a small group. In fact, my fiance and I were the only ones in our class with Fletcher and Annie! How lucky were we to be able to experience a 1:1 instructing class. All the other classes had 8-10 people... Odyssea has it figured out! And we were able to do night classes which was perfect with our work schedule during the week. The Catalina trip was unreal! So organized from start to finish. Between the van ride up to Long Beach, the boat process and the dives, everything was absolutely perfect! A unique and diverse boat crew with tons of knowledge on the dive sites! Annie and Fletcher were both leading small groups of us through the dive sites and it was perfect (we got 1:1 guide and instructor led training with Annie)! She taught us with ease, guided us through amazing kelp forests, was sure to point out all of the wildlife for us to see and it was so enjoyable. They reportedly provide a great experience when they get it right, however they not only ruined my vacation but also became extreamly agresive when they failed to meet expectations. I booked a trip that I drove 13 hours to get to only to learn they had been calling me to confirm. I was camping in Yosemite at the time and was unreachable. They should not need to confirm a booked and paid for trip. Rather than admitting thier mistake frankly and appologizing sincerely they were intensly agresive and rude. I called as requested from the dock and was sent down to the boat. They do not own the boat, thus they dumped it on the capain of the boat that they charter. I feal sorry for her and would encorage this charter to have a discusion with Odyssea, however Odyssea would likely get agresive with them. The manager was even worst. He even texted me calling me names as thier ratings are more important to him than the quallity of the service they provide. He claimed I was trying to scam them! I can see where his employee's get thier customer service skills. I will not be returning and considering thier behavior, I will do all I can to get the word out and so will my ride along passenger whose vacation was also ruined. read more

I found Fletcher's company on Groupon, not knowing what to expect and having difficulty researching the different scuba companies. After checking out his website and seeing the focus on conservation, I decided to sign us up! My fiance and I don't have similar schedules, and thankfully Fletcher and his team were so flexible with us. I loved that they supplied all the necessary equipment, so we didn't have to purchase everything before-hand. They were a little disorganized remembering the sizes we needed for the equipment, but they had brought spares each time and we were able to get everything sorted and comfortable. Fletcher himself guided us through our last two open water dives, he was patient and we felt really comfortable being in the water and getting our Open Water Certification! Highly Recommend Odyssea by Fletcher if you're interested in learning to scuba dive. Certification requires a Swim Test, an Online Learning Portion, four Pool Dives (2 days), followed by four Open Water Dives (2 days). My certification took a little bit longer than usual but I have zero regrets with hiring Odyssea by Fletcher to see me through it I originally signed up back in September of 2021 and after I had completed the online learning portion, I moved on to my first day of pool dives at West Hills High School. After taking the swim test, I suited up and started going over the skills presented in the reading material. Other than swallowing and inhaling what felt like gallons of pool water trying to learn to clear my mask underwater; the two pool dives went great. One session over, one to go. The second pool session was held in a private pool in someone's backyard and I went over the remaining skills. The second pool was very warm which was great but the pool was pretty shallow. At one point, my instructor wanted me to sit on my knees below the surface but we realized real quick that my head was still above the surface when I sat on my knees. Apart from the pool being a tad shallow for me (6'4") I wrapped up pool dives 3 & 4 with flying colors and was ready to move on to the ocean. Due to scheduling conflicts, personal injuries, and other hiccups too much time went by from when I practiced my skills in the pool and I requested a refresher class. It was in the refresher class that I met my new instructor. Chris was an amazing instructor and made sure everyone was comfortable with each of the skills before moving on to the next one. My first day of open water diving was on May 11th, 2022. Chris was an amazing instructor and went super slow on the descent as I was having issues with equalizing my ears. Visibility wasn't super great and with the exception of some shell fish on the rocky bottom and a seal doing somersaults behind Chris (much to his disappointment that no one pointed this out), I didn't see much else for sea life but was able to successfully complete the skills for day one. After more weather delays and personal injuries my second day of diving was finally scheduled on September 30th, 2022 with the man himself, Fletcher. After boarding the boat at 1pm, we set off for a different location for dives 3 & 4. Todays diving would be at approximately 60ft and we were diving at an NOSC tower that sank off the coast of San Diego in 1988. After completing a skill at 15-20ft, we started our descent to deeper waters. Fletcher was an amazing instructor and given my previous problem with equalization; we made a very slow descent to about 55 feet. Fletcher's attention to me and my comfort is all the proof I need that Fletcher was born to do this and why he is an exemplary instructor. After swimming around the downed tower for a bit and seeing some of the biggest mussels I've ever seen in my life; we made our way back up to the surface while making all necessary safety stops. After a break, a review of skills for dive 4, and a snack; I was ready to get back in the water. After checking off the last skills and a bit of sightseeing again, we made our way to the surface and back to the boat for the trip home. After a lot of feet dragging, weather delays, personal injuries, and other hiccups along the way I was certified on October 1st, 2022. It was a bit of a roller coaster getting there but Fletcher and his employees amazing attitude and attention to detail was the motivation I needed to persevere. Odyssea by Fletcher is quintessential to the industry and I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking to get scuba certified or to continue their education. I was researching Scuba Diving in San Diego because some friends wanted to get certified before a vacation trip to Hawaii. I ran across Odyssea by Fletcher and was really impressed with everything the local San Diego small business stands for, including helping students embrace a lifelong love of diving and its support of conservation projects. I also have been wanting to get Open Water Diver PADI Certified for a while and now was a really good time. Since we were on a time crunch, Fletcher scheduled us right away with the online PADI certification courses as well as the in person pool and ocean dives. This scuba company provides professional scuba training, small class sizes, personalized instruction, flexible scheduling, and a variety of beginning to advanced Scuba Diving training / courses. We found Fletcher to be extremely qualified, organized, and professional. During the first couple pool dives, Fletcher ensured we were ready for each step along the way. Some friends are not as comfortable in the water at first, however, Fletcher really made sure that we progressed at our speed and helped us overcome water anxiety! He was really patient with our group, encouraging us and helping us master the skills we needed to be safe and successful in our future ocean dives. We had zero scuba experience going into this training and so the personal attention, genuine care, and thoroughness were very much appreciated. After the pool dives, we went to La Jolla Cove for the open water dives -- the conditions were not the best at La Jolla Shores one day. Even though there was a strong current, the visibility was much better and we ended up having really great open-water ocean dive experience, completing all the tasks. We also were joined by a group of sea bass (I think), who chilling on the left and right of us, were very intrigued by the three of us "air breathers" and inched closer every few seconds. We also saw Garibaldi and other little colorful fishies close to shore. Overall, we are thrilled to be certified and super happy we went with Odyssea By Fletcher. He even took a picture of us underwater with his GoPro camera! I will definitely be back to get more advanced scuba classes through them once I get a few dives under my belt in Hawaii. My fiancee did her Open Water PADI certification through Odyssea by Fletcher and she had a blast! I am PADI certified and was able to tag along for their open water dive certification at Catalina Island. This was by far one of the best dives I've ever been on. Disorganized with scheduling contacted me at least twice confused thinking I was a different costumer texting if I was ready for the dive when my dive was scheduled for a different day. I used Groupon which was just a hook. Also my goal was to scuba dive with my friend and his brother for his bachelor party in Cabo. I wanted it to be fresh in my mind thus finish the certification close to the date. I had asked the weekend before when I finished my pool portion on Saturday to start open water that Sunday but was told not we'll just do it next weekend however supposedly the conditions weren't good and then I had to finish my certification in Cabo by myself being unable to scuba with my friend which was the point of getting the certification & missing half a day of bachelor party activities. read more
