a plate of sushi
Alex N.

Pretty good sushi, I like it more than rock n roll. The sauce was a bit too sweet, didn't taste like spicy Mayo to me but more like a burger sauce. I'd come back.

Showing rice, vegetables and meat with absolutely no sign of any seasoning!!

We decided to use this location because we have never tried it. First and last!! The broccoli was over grilled making it black on one side and extremely hard. Our carrots were too huge. You had to cut them up in 3 pieces to be able to eat them. The hibachi shrimp and chicken very salty with NO other flavoring what so ever. No sesame seed, pepper, garlic, etc. It is if they stirfried it with nothing but lots and lots of soy sauce. NO other seasoning WHATSOEVER can be seen OR tasted on my rice, meats or vegetables. Normally, you can see different seasoning on your meat and sauce, but this has absolutely nothing~only salt. Very disappointing and I will NOT order here again. HORRIBLE !!! Do not eat here!!

Kind of amazing that I was yelled out of the front door despite there being no sign about wearing masks and no local mask mandate. Even though I had mask in my car, I was told to wait inside since my companion had one and was able to order for the both of us. Also they don't tell you what the letters in OEC stand for. What's up with that? Just make something up. They also leave freestanding bags of rice like right next to their garbage cans. Always thought that was kinda weird. Feels like a health violation of some sort. No other place in town does that.

No frills, cheap but good basic sushi. I'll be back to try other fare. Really wish they had mochi ice cream.

Understandably, the quality of there sushi and hibachi is not the best, however, that is what I would expect when the prices are so low. Also, your food comes in all styrofoam products, so for the environmental-conscious, this may not be the place for you. The food is satisfying enough, but it's definitely not a high- end sushi spot. Nevertheless, the staff friendly and prompt.

Pretty typical take out Hibachi, but if you eat in, you get your own squirt bottle of yum yum sauce. Unlimited yum yum sauce can cover for a world of Hibachi hiccups. There is no ambiance and the service is all green-haired millennials from the university next door. Did I mention a big vat of yum yum sauce, because if I didn't; there's a big one sitting in front of me, which has me back on the Hattiesburg Hibachi Highway.

Just when I think I have written enough reviews and that there is nothing else to say, I go into a…read morerestaurant, and then I happen to find a place that you weren't expecting by accident. However, at the same time, you are happy that you did. So, let's get into the nitty-gritty of this review. The first time I went there for lunch, I sat in a booth so I could work while eating. So, I tried the Shrimp Teriyaki Box. It was terrific. So much so that I decided to order my dinner to go: the Steak and Salmon Hibachi Dinner Combo. I had my steak medium well. Later that evening, when I partook of my dinner, that steak was SO tender, juicy, and melted in my mouth. There is nothing like a good cut of meat and someone who knows how to cook it just right. The next day, one of my colleagues was interested in trying it after I told her about it. We ordered the following: Hibachi Fuji Yama Combination, Gyoza, Tempura Combo APP, along with a Fried California Roll, which was a first for me. But you're talking about some kind of good. The service on every occasion was fantastic; the staff were very attentive and cheerful, offering recommendations if you were unsure of anything. The atmosphere was engaging, clean, and not too noisy, where you can not only hear yourself think but also the other people in your party. If you're in the area, treat yourself to this restaurant; it's worth it.

Say we're sitting at had a birthday and it took about 30 minutes to start and nobody else was in the restaurant but our one table I asked my waited twice when will the food start because it seemed like we were sitting for so long? Once the show started, it was OK we love hibachi so we eat it a lot all over the country maybe in about 30 hibachi places but this is where it goes wrong. The Chef messed up our order and didn't have all the food for our order and then didn't make it so we order the salmon and shrimp. We didn't get any shrimp but he gave our appetizer shrimp to everyone else at the table except us even though shrimp was part of my hibachi order. Mention it to the Chef he shrugged it off as if he didn't care and they were very clean . If you're in Hattiesburg driving through like we were keep driving and find something else

There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. We'll absolutely be back.

Cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. The food was great - eclectic Asian would be my descriptor. We had the pickled veggies which included kim chi, black garlic, poblanos, pickles, and collards. The assortment was very nice. The pork and shrimp dumplings were a bit firmer than I'm used to, but not in a bad way, and the flavors were excellent. The pot roast egg rolls were a fun mashup. The okra was delicious - perfectly cooked and great balance of flavors. The pork belly buns were my favorite item. Lots of tender, crispy pork on a cloud soft bun. Yum! I will definitely return if in the area.

The fried chicken was overdone but still not the worst. Dessert was good, and the shrimp was good. The tea was also pretty good!!! I ate till I was nauseously full cuz it was js that good fr id go back and definitely recommend it, and the sushi I tried was pretty good! ps yes it was also clean and the service was fast but the waiter lady put me on the spot asking what drink I wanted and I didn't know what they had and I got scared lowkey like lady I dunno what y'all got!!! wym "what drink u want" IDK WHAT DO YOU HAVE??? Anyways 4/5 stars ()" - My review: "3 out of 5 stars (), wasn't bad. All the meat seems a little overcooked, flavor was a little bland for most. Shrimp was good, I did eat till I got nauseous. Most reason for my 3 stars was the price for the quality. Would've been better for a $10 buffet rather than a $20 buffet." Thank you for reading
