Takes an edge off the work week, and a great pairing of catching up while I was onsite at the Phoenix office. - Curious Cocktail: The temperature of the day we dined was 111° and I needed something refreshing. They didn't have a Spritz on the menu, so I went with this. I did enjoy the flavor, but could only have one of these as pretty sweet. - Heirloom Tomato Toast: This was the perfect start to the meal, and the vibrancy of the heirloom tomatoes was refreshing. I really enjoyed the miso aioli as it really complimented the tomatoes. - Side of Crispy Potatoes: Sometimes you just need some carbs, and these hit the spot for a starter before entrees though it is listed as a side. - Dry Rub Chicken Wings: These were decent for wings, but I think I would refrain from ordering again as the sauce choices just weren't great. - Mercato Sourdough Pizza: My coworker throughly enjoyed this pizza, and it intrigued me to return to order one as I couldn't have this one (pesto). - Orange Olive Oil Cake: This was perfection! The salted honey whip + berry coulis helped balance out the denseness and tartness of the orange olive oil cake. Genuinely a contender for my favorite dessert this summer, and I've had a few when spending 15+ days traveling for work. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I tried to crack into it and the top just molded with the spoon so I asked him to take it back because it was not right. I watched him show it to someone, who I was told was the owners son, and they sent another. The owners son dropped it off the table and said, this should be more to my liking and walked away. Well it was only slightly less burnt but it did crack so I tried it. Sugar was definitely burnt, you could taste it, and the custard was dripping wet instead of solid. I showed this to the other waiter who was helping and she understood immediately and took it back. She said let's just get you the lava cake instead and I said fine. It's too bad because the flavor on the custard itself was excellent and I was really looking forward to it. Needless to say I was disappointed when the dessert was not taken off the bill after all we had been through with it. I expect more when dinner for two costs almost $200.

I order the "Clark's Nipply Egg Nog" and my son ordered the "It's a Good Old Fashioned Family Christmas." I didn't try his because I do not like bourbon but he reports it was very good. And I did love my eggnog drink. For food, my son ordered off of The Omelette bar. You fill out the little form check mark in exactly what you want in your omelette and what you want for the side. I ordered the chopped salad, which is what I've ordered here before and absolutely love. It comes with chopped salami and cheese which make it absolutely yummy. We arrived early by the time you left the place was starting to fill up.
