Hubby & I had dinner here last night for the first time. You seat yourself, but there is no sign stating this. Our server came to the table in a timely manner. The drinks were good. Hubby got his favorite beer on draft. I got Tito's & cranberry juice. It did take awhile to get our drinks. There was only one bartender for our first round & she was slammed. An additional bartender Camren in for our second round of drinks & we received them much faster. Our server waited for the drinks to be ready before coming back to the table. We ordered the fired mushrooms. We weren't sure if half the mushrooms fell off the plate or if the plate was too big for the order, but it made us feel like we got ripped off for $8.99. The ranch was excellent! It had a great flavor & was thick like it should be. Hubby got the Reuben sandwich with onion rings. I got the breaded tenderloin sandwich. Being from Indiana we live a good pork tenderloin sandwich & there isn't very many places you can get one in AZ. Hubby liked his Reuben, but was disappointed with the rye bread. It needed to be toasted better & he said it didn't have much flavor. The onion rings were good. My sandwich was huge & good, but the one at Stadium Club is better. Decent neighborhood joint, I award bonus points for being a "Boston Bar" where I could eat and watch the Red Sox game. The food is good, the service is great and the value is amazing. This place is a hidden treasure I don't really want to talk about it because if I do it might become so famous I can't afford it anymore. The bartenders (Camber, Reagan & Sarah) are amazing the staff is super friendly. I came in today on my birthday weekend and have the the pot roast. I meant to take a picture of it but it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. They have specials all week long you need to go to the website and check them out I will tell you their food does not disappoint. While in town for Spring Training, wanted to try a local place so came across Boston's. It's a cool neighborhood dive bar with some decent eats. Food & drink prices here are pretty reasonable. Had the Ribeye for around $16 bucks it was fairly good, well drinks were like $4. Bartender was cool. It's also an off-site betting establishment for horse racing, so if you're in to that you can place a few bets at the window. They also had a poker game setting up before we left. Overall, we would come back here next time in town. read more

This is a local "towny" bar. For those not aware, it is very much a local bar where "everybody knows your name". We dropped in looking for fish fry on St Patrick's Day. It is a fairly large bar with restaurant seating surrounding it. The server was crazy busy, being St Pattys Day, but she was super pleasant and attentive. Neither my guests were impressed with the fish, a little too breaded, too salty, too... If you are looking for that local bar to add to your bar list I would give Boston's a try. read more

Decided after a long hike we would try out Bostons. It's been a thing of ours after a hike to have a good meal and a beer to shake off the hike. Walking in, the bar is pretty large and lots of tables around. The room itself is pretty dark which I generally like. The bartender was nice and tried to be attentive but she was running the bar all by herself so it wasn't really immediate. It was also the morning after St Paddy's day so I'm sure the staff was already exhausted. The Italian sun was delicious. Just the right amounts of meats to give it the authentic Italian flavor and baked to give it the crispy bread. Only thing I would have added is a few peperoncini peppers for the kick. They had Kiltlifter in bottles (was kind of surprised it wasn't on tap like most other bars in the area). Will definitely visit this place again. It was nice to see the staff call the regulars by name and there was quite a few of them! read more

Great food and atmosphere! Karaoke nights are the best and most lively nights to go. This used to be THE place to be, up until we started learning about the conditions some of the workers are working under. It has recently come to light that one of THE BEST BARTENDER in town was let go because management refused to work with her schedule for the second job. Sarah Lyons will be sorely missed. This place is a nice neighborhood bar but nothing special. We sat at the bar and the drinks were good. The food is very bland and does not have any flavor. We got chips and queso for a munchie and it was melted cheese. They could add some salsa or something in it to give it some spice. I then got the chicken sandwich which was okay. It was just a plain sandwich. The French fries were good though. My sister got a pastrami sandwich which she said had no flavor, which is crazy because pastrami naturally has flavor. Bar is a dive bar, great time. Mandi is a amazing bartender... love her. Came for karaoke night and the coked out karaoke host was the absolute worst. He let me sing a few times then cut me out.... He turns everyone's mics down and jams out on himself..... bro you're coked out ass is terrible... he is a terrible host and Slams shots the whole time while hosting, I asked him about my songs after being skipped twice I was told he had me, then stared down by his friends. Apparently this bar is cool with just having the regulars stick around and not new people coming in. Fire your karaoke host and hire someone who knows how to use a mixer board. Woefully understaffed, tried sitting in two different areas to get the attention of the lone bartender they had working...after waiting 10 minutes at first table, moved to another table in an area where there were more people sitting...looked over at us a couple times, still never came over after waiting 10 more minutes so we finally got up and left. She saw us leaving, could hear her cursing (at herself?) for her inability to interact with us. Place was crowded, very much a locals bar. Note to owner: Hire another server or two. You have the business to justify it. We ended up going to Philly's, and they were overstaffed - had 1 server for every 3 customers (which is overstaffing, IMHO) but we did have excellent service there. read more

The ambiance of the place is like a seedy race track, which is due to the OTB they have. I haven't been to Boston's since The pandemic started. I miss it here. Dive bars aren't usually my thing, but the waitresses and service were always good here. Last time I went for my birthday they were so good to me even though I became a messy drunk. Lol Shortly before the pandemic I started singing karaoke with my best friend here. OTB bar where the emphasis is the betting customers. It's right next to a batting cage so we stopped in to check the wings out. There five of us we just wings and a quesadilla and drinks. The wings took forever and when we got them waitress forgot the small plates. It took awhile to get them. We asked about the quesadilla and she said she would check on it. I came here to play poker and ordered a Shirley Temple from the RUDEST waitress ever. She brought back crap! I tasted it and instantly became disgusted. After watching her run around for 10 minutes taking shot orders, she finally came over and I let her know my experience. She snatched the cup and slammed it down on a near-by rail. This is after she had spilled ketchup on my partner from moving to fast. Literally ketchup was splattered all over her shoes and pants . She said she would bring back a wet napkin but never did. This is my first and last time in this establishment. A customer says "I dont mean any harm but shes actually really busy getting shots for everyone". I have been coming to this bar for many years. What keeps me going to this place is the friendly environment. The staff is all very welcoming and make you feel like you are a part of the family. I usually go for the karaoke because it is fun and the rotation is fair to everyone. The karaoke host is especially funny and treats you like you are his best friend. His jokes and silliness keep me and my friends laughing all night. Besides the karaoke the food is really good. They not only serve your typical bar food but they even serve good fish fry and prime rib! If you are looking for a good neighborhood bar and a place to call your 2nd home come here! First of all this place was great! I was in here on Friday and not only was the service awesome but the all you can eat fish was so light and flakey it reminded me of the east coast(don't fill up on the fries, you only get more fish when you ask). I loved the environment so I decided to stay at the bar after the kitchen was closed for some drinks. I enjoyed making conversation with the staff and customers and had a blast until one thing really irked me and has been bothering me since. At about 1:50 at night the guy who was running karaoke at random grabbed the mic (dead silent in the bar at this point) and shouted "F*** THE N***RS!!!" As much as I enjoyed the rest of my experience I won't be back for that alone. At least late night anyway. What a shame, this place almost had 5 stars read more
